it seems effect of current events are taking toll into Bandai as well...

I bought a bunch of option body parts but I have no clue on how to apply decals. Should I do it while the head is still in the runner? What products should I get? Could someone write a mini step-by-step guide? It's my first time in the Gundam world and I feel so lost

Literally. My rabiot keep leaning to the right, when I tried to pose it standing. So yeah, kneeling pose it is.
The scope lense is a flat clear sprue, that I cut roughly into a circle.
parts used
- exa smart transformable machine.
- option 9 large booster unit, just for the cannon head
- exa tank, just for the handle.

Note: armor and katana from MSG, with clumsy hand painting

I wasn't really a fan of the brown armor pieces for the liber warrior, but I love the aesthetic. Gonna paint all the brown bits gold and the horn bits in bone. Hand painting because I don't have the equipment or skill to airbrush.

A few boxes later the second go went fantastic. Special thanks to the Baldin arms box and the obscene amount of orbital hinges it comes with. Don’t mind the face. (Wip 🙏🏼💦) and all the parts are in the last pic. All stock parts. No modifications made or holes added. Although a few custom parts could have been better, I wanted to see if I could make it work without. It was a fun puzzle and the most fun I’ve had building in a while, and I love my gunpla.

Overall I’m thrilled with how this build went. The arms and legs move with the body while posing. It’s a little finicky but I’m happy with how it’s coming along. Plan on painting and adding some more comedic mods. But I think I’m satisfied with the base structure.

Sharing a simple way I added extra weight to my 30MF builds.

The 30MF body is great, but one downside is that it’s very lightweight, so it can easily fall backward while posing.

Since I have an engineering background, I figured improving the center of gravity would help stability.

Luckily, the stomach area, thighs, and lower legs of the 30MF body all have some empty space inside, making them good spots for adding weight.

The photos below show where I added extra weight:
- Stomach area
- Upper thigh
- Lower thigh
- Lower leg

Recently, I got some small steel beads for a work project, and thought they might work well for this too.

I started testing them in a few recent builds.
The total weight increase isn’t huge, but the added weight helps the figure feel heavier in hand and stand more steadily while posing 😁

I was surprised it looked this good despite being made up of left over parts.

I had a lot of fun customizing my first 30MM kit, I think eventually I’ll build him a larger backpack and add softgoods in the form of a tattered cloak.
