I was finally able to do it, I was so nervous, even after watching the videos. But eventually came across posts from others, who were paddling the same river as me.. and with their indirect encouragement. Spent maybe 45 minutes last weekend and BAM I did it :D
I did see in the Wiki how to use a new SD card so that’s next on my list.

i deleted a file in my FBI that i thought was taking up space… i have a feeling that it wasn’t just a random file…
the system is telling me the game needs updating, then won’t follow through with the download and tell me there was an issue.
Made a rom hack of Pokemon Y, and put it on my 3DS. However the starters will not change no matter what I do. Everything else in the hack works fine except that. I double checked and the 2 .CRO files for starters do change when edited, but when using layeredFS I still am seeing nothing

I just recently modded a new Nintendo 3DS xl. It seems to run a bit slow, so I was wondering if it would help to update the card? I believe mine is 32 GB which right now is fine I kind of like the idea of getting one game at a time and then actually playing it instead of just having tons and tons of games. Just wondering if I copy over all the files to a new one, will that work still? And would it maybe help my load times? Thank you for any help/suggestions.

My idiotic younger self did superskaterhax and left it incomplete with Luma on it ;-; But this year, I found the checking for cfw guide, so I went ahead and fully modded my 3DS with no problems!

So this error is on the DS of my SO. She has the og 3DS and is playing Pokemon Diamond.
My 3DS is the NEW. 3ds and has pokemon pearl.
I can connect to the Wii on "my pokemon ranch" and "pokemon battle revolution"
My da connects to the game hers gets this error as soon as it tries to change the game screen after it connects to the Wii.
I'm not quite sure what this error means does can someone help me or redirect me to where I can get this solved?
Hello, a few days ago I got a killer deal on a 3DS XL at a flea market and turns out it came pre modded. I have never modded a 3DS before so some stuff I’m not very familiar with.
What I wanted to ask was how can I make sure I don’t brick my system ? How do verify these stuff were installed correctly or if I’m missing anything important.
So far everything works as far as I know, I installed PAC-MAN and it installed it and worked.
Please let me know if there’s anything I should do or check before continuing to mess with it, Thanks !
(I've tried different sd cards and different Microsoft card adapters luma is downloaded as well as godmode9) i used the sssloth browser exploit after installing luma i kept getting an arm9 error after trying to boot safe mode (and it failing) i used ctr transfer it worked until I added profile reigon and crashed again with an arm11 error I think
Then I tried use a skip profile setup script and it gets to a "opening home screen dont turn off power" popular then crashes
After going through what the process would be on Switch playing 3DS games (installing RetroArch, PKHex, all that), and after owning a homebrewed 3DS where, generally, having non-3DS/DS games, like FireRed for example, was made SO easy with PKSM, which you could indirectly transfer to Bank.
Maybe this is just because I have not modded my Switch yet, but I feel like the PKSM to Bank to Home process would be and is a much more easy-to-learn and less tedious process. Any possible way that Bank will work for homebrewed 3DS's even after Nintendo shuts it down? Or will it be pointless since it can't connect to Home anymore?
I was wondering if there were any passcode or security options for 3Ds if it ever got stolen?
I am currently trying to find my leaf green safe file so I can back it up to my computer and transfer it to a real cartridge. I have checked the 3DS, CIAS, and Roms folders thoroughly and I couldn’t find anything. I also use the search function to look for .sav files. None of the files were the one I was looking for. Does anyone have any ideas on how to find this file?
Hello, today I've received a new 3ds, pre modded. It connects to the wi fi perfectly, just as my old 3ds, but for some reason the universal updater doesnt load a thing (don't know why it's suddenly japanese), and the 3hs loads game's names, but also no specific installation. Constantly tells, that the connection is lost. Btw don't know if its important , but when it came, it had russian language, i changed it. I searched through the internet, still don't know what's the deal, and really hope for your hheeelp🙏🙏!!

hello! i’m an absolute noob at this, so i need your guys‘ help.
a couple of weeks ago i successfully modded my 3DS. i bought a 32gb no name brand off of amazon (yes i know, my bad, but it had good reviews!)
now i’m having problems with some NDS games. which one it is seems random, i always get a red screen with a „data abort“ message (not all though! some work totally fine!). with one particular game, i always get it when i started playing it already and start it for the second time. i get that it’s because of a faulty rom normally, but i redownloaded the rom from that game and same thing, first start up fine and i start playing a new save file and the second time, red screen.
a few other nds games have had the red screen too, but with those it’s right when i start it.
now, one or two of my 3DS games (installed via hshop) disappeared suddenly. i can’t even delete them from my settings, it only shows a question mark and that it uses up no capacities, but it’s listed, but no name. when i try to delete it, it doesn’t work. when i try to install it from hshop again, it says its already installed and whether i wanna reinstall; when i click yes, it shows an error too. i also get that that comes from a bad sd card. i’m right now checking mine with hw2test. i’m just wondering, is all of the problems above correlated with the SD card and if yes, can i copy all the data onto a new SD card? like, can i save the saves i have? or will that corrupt the new one too?
i do have a back up from my 3DS before it was modded. since then, i’ve put in 10 hours in a 3ds game from hshop. i’d love to keep the save, so is there any way?
(i am thinking of buying a sansdisk 64gb this time, im just a lil worried about formatting it)
