I found an New 3DS that came already hacked with Luma3DS 7.1 and FBI 2.4.1. (Im not sure if the last number was 1) I wanted to update everything, so I took out the SD card, copied the new Luma and FBI files to it on my PC, and also installed Nimbus for online play. FBI updated successfully and I used Remote Install to download and play some games.

But Luma wouldn't update. A video tutorial said that to finish applying the Luma update I needed to copy boot.firm to the NAND (And I'm pretty sure that was the problem). I did that, turned off the console, and when I tried to turn it back on to check the Luma menu... it just shows the blue power light for a second and then completely turns off.

I've tried many things from different guides and tutorials

Removed the battery, waited, reinserted

Cleaned SD pins

Formatted SD card multiple times

Used fresh latest Luma boot.firm on SD root

Tried SD with only boot.firm

Tried GodMode9.firm renamed as boot.firm

Used old backup SD card

Booted with and without SD card

Various button combos (Select + Power, etc.)

Does anyone know how to recover from this? Any help is really appreciated!

I really want to play this hack on my DSi (Twilight Menu++). Anyone had any success? Asking because I don't want my save file to get corrupted anywhere in the middle of my playthrough 🤧

Curious if anyone has done this or is willing to try I think it would be a really popular port as nowadays people are trying to distance themselves from their phones etc when studying really suprised this isnt a port yet

Yes I am posting this again because the mods said my original post’s title was “too lazy”

I booted up ctgp-7 on the 3ds and it crashed. It prompted a reboot but none of the buttons worked. I had to leave the 3ds alone for a bit to do something but when I came back, it wouldn’t boot. I got back home, plugged it in, won’t turn on. Luma config menu would SOMETIMES boot but still won’t give me the home menu. Godmode9 won’t even boot up. I put the sd in my computer and this error message was in the luma files. Can I fix this, or is my console possibly bricked?

Hi everyone !

I'm coding an MPC based Midi sequencer for 3DS and it works as expected for now. Firstly, i wanted to send the midi data through the jack audio-out but it might be as complicated as changing the DSP sample rate (to match it with the Midi baudrate).

So, during my research, i've found a conversion cartridge "NDS to serial" called DSerial from natrium42, created around 2006-2008. The project's wiki is only accessible via the WayBackMachine so the downloads for the firmware, bootloader and others stuffs are no longer availables, but it describe the way to build it and make a midi controller !

So here are some questions :

- Does someone archived the necessary to recreate this project today ?

- Does someone knows a similar recent project (for NDS or 3DS) ?

- Is there an electronics-engineer/student willing to help me to recreate something like that ? (i swear it's fun !!)

- Does someone tried to run an original DSerial on 3DS ? (yeah, this one is very specific...)

- Is there a way to contact natrium42 ?

I'm a bit desperate to find out a solution to send Midi datas without wireless and i think i will readapt my code for NDS (with an mDS GBA cartridge for the data transfer) if i can't find out other solution...

3ds stooped opening ds games and i used twlfix cfw but i couldn't update mine 3ds after that.

i updated luma and boot9strap th the latest version, but I still get an error. I tried everything that was advised earlier. There seem to be no problems with the Internet, but i from Russia and some things don't work for us.

I have a blue bezel, I just was unable to get the old lens off. I will be offering some things.

I saw some posts about swapping out hwcal files after performing this swap BUT the screens look amazing and I am wondering if it’s necessary.
