I was playing the Sims 3, this crash was almost immediately after a housefire and I was in 3x speed. So if it's just that I asked more of the thing it than it was able to provide that's understandable LOL. Or is it an actual problem I have to fix?
I have tried to ask discord what the problem is, it's unlocked and done everything it has asked me to do. Apparently PNY is a bad card to use? Does it just straight up not work unless I'm using a Sandisk card? Do I really need to buy another card just for it to work??
Earlier I removed my 3ds SD card then reinserted it but when I try to power up, it's stuck in a black screen. The SD card can still be read on my PC and I can boot into Godmode9 but after that if I reboot my 3ds it's once again stuck in black screen. I'm not sure what I could do to diagnose and fix the issue
Edit: I updated Luma, Godmode, backed up the NAND, removed my catride and the console unbrick itself.
It came in the mail on Tuesday. Came with lot of DS games I didn’t want, so I deleted the majority. When I then tried to foward roms of DS games I actually wanted to play onto my homescreen, it shows this. I have deleted and redownloaded Twilight Menu off of Universal Updater multiple times. I thought it was because it wasn’t up to date, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I tried a different NdsFowarder off of universal updater but the same screen pops up. Everything else on the 3ds works fine, like downloading games off of h-shop and changing the theme.
PSA: I have never modded a 3ds myself, so I have little knowledge on what anything means.
Basically is it doable and simple enough for an idiot like me who gets very confused about technology related stuff. Like do I have to have any pre existing knowledge about like files or sd cards or whatever and how to handle them?

Few month ago, ive cracked my 3DS following a guide, it worked kinda well, sometimes i needed to unplugged my SD card to start the DS and replugged it. But now i did not work at all, i dont know what to do.
For now, i can't boot on SD card, i can boot without but it did not recognize the SD card when i plugged it.
So basically, i bought a modded 3ds and it is japanese, i want to play the american smash bros, but how do i? Ive already started playing other games on my 3ds btw. If i cant do anything, is there anyway i can play the japanese smash? Thank you.
bought a unlocked japan n3dsxl off ebay and its been working fine but i tried to play a us cartridge i already have a save on and then all these question marks popped up? i also tried to play a region free version of pokemon x and it came up Japanese? am i missing something?
I’ve been trying to download Pokemon Y for the last few hours- and of course, the game is huge, and it keeps disconnecting mid download, which is annoying, but not too unusual with large downloads. (?)
However, now, I can’t even open the shop itself T_T I’m not tech savvy at all, so I have no idea how to fix it, or what this even means lol. Help…
So I'm going to be on a roadtrip tomorrow, I was initially without a convenient way to play any of the modern or classic games I was in the mood to play since Requiem came out. Since my New 3DS XL is already modded, I tried seeing if PS1 emulation for RE2 & 3 was viable, since those were never officially released like the amazing Deadly Silence port of RE1.
I almost forgot that I already had PCSX ReARMed installed to play Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. So all I had to do was load some files. I was able to rip my own physical copies of RE2 & 3 and convert them to .chd files (a compressed format that's crucial improving emulation performance).
The reason I endorse specifically the 3DS for playing retro titles is its screen. In order to send the 400x240p image to each eye in 3D mode, the 3DS's screen is actually 800x240p, with thinner, rectangular pixels for the horizontal resolution effect. The high density greatly masks the horizontal pixel spacing, appearing like scanlines. I noticed how nice SOTN looked with this vague CRT-like impression.
Couple this with the 240p vertical resolution matching the OG PS1 games' internal resolution, and you have probably one of the best ways to play the games at native resolution outside of a proper CRT or a good shader effect.

I did not bother with OG RE1, given that Deadly Silence already exists, and what I consider the better version over the original Director's cut. However, Deadly Silence does suffer from background compression on the DS. Maybe I'll post a comparison in a future post.
I don’t really care if it can’t hold a ton of games I just need enough room for cfm hshop fbi and at least one game at a time that I can just delete once done to make room for the next game.
Hi All, I’ve only been able to find cheats for version 1.0 of Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters.
Through the hShop, the only available version of the North American copy is 2.0. I tried deleting the update by going to the Downloadable Content section under Data Management, but the game does not appear there.
Am I able to download a previous version from hShop?
i haven't touched my hacked 3DS in a while, but when i decided to turn it on it sits on a blank black screen. if i take out the micro sd it boots up normally. anybody know off the top of their head what the problem might be? i might just post this and re mod it

I modded my nintendo 3ds xl for the first time the other day, couldn't mess with it yesterday because of work, and when i put a game file onto it this morning, it decided to scan and repair the 32gb micro sd that I use in an adapter for the 3ds. Now, the 3ds wont boot at all without an sd card, ive lost all my homebrew apps like fbi, homebrew launcher, and anemone, and when i try to install a game through the files, it says it failed because the db folder is missing. I followed the guide online and installed luma and gm9, but im lost at this point and dont know how to fix it at all. I dont even know if factory resetting the 3ds will fix it.
i’ve been wanting to shiny hunt jirachi for a while, and i wanted to know if i’m able to have the WISHMKR event running on a pokemon emerald .cia game.
I have this old 2DS which I wanted to hack, so I followed the newest tutorial available. The installation went well, but when it came time to download the data, the console turned off and the low battery LED turned light blue. I erased all the data and restored the backup I had saved, but the problem persisted even without an SD card i don't know what else to do and i really want this 2DS to still working.
