Tips for 11th.

I'm thinking on starting a crusade, probably Pariah Nexus, though the group plays on 11th, and as you know, there are not really any crusade rules for 11th, so I'm thinking on just saying: f it, and do 11th edition with 10th crusade rules.

Any tips on that regard? Some rules that need specific changes that you've encountered? Or is it fine as is?

Also, what's the opinion on a single person running multiple crusade forces?

EDIT: Forgot to say that this is the first crusade I'll play, and the first crusade I'll run, so I'm also curious on how much lore are you supposed to be into, as I'm fairly new-ish to the lore itself.

Did I Win The Narrative Campaign Finale?

No.

Did I kill Ghazghkull Thraka by devastating wounding him to death with my last model? Yes.

Did he fight on death and kill my Archon? Also, yes.

Thus, ends the campaign on Astorax IV.

The short version of the story is Drukhari raids on a planet torn between a burgeoning Ork W'aaagh and the Imperial Defenders.

An impressive tally of Orks was reaped for both the Carrion Lords and Crimson Blades, such that even the Imperial governor was "convinced" to abandon his ally the Salamanders in favour of the Ork hunting Drukhari.

So the Grand Finale™️ was played between a team of Orks, a team of Salamanders and Ultramarine reinforcements and the Drukhari with their compromised Guard thralls.

In typical 40k novel fashion, the Ultramarines and Salamanders won the day, purged the Orks and slew the traitor Guardsmen as the Drukhari limped into the Webway.

Highlights of the game included Archon Mazrekai Yndarion killing a Librarian and the Ork Warlord, as well as Succubus Fhaeren Aro'shar tanking around 30 Ork attacks before beheading that Warboss too.

Any news on Crucible of Champions? I wanna integrate it into my new upcoming crusade, but can't find anything on it.

For me it looks like they abandoned the idea after announcing it. It im just too blind to find anything useful. Is there anyone who currently runs and uses Crucible of Champions? Im curious how much popular it is?

THE PITCH

Bordering the Eye of Terror, in the wake of the 13th Black Crusade, the Vermillion Sector hangs by a thread.

Forgeworld Volantis, critical producer of Baneblades, Leman Russes, and Chimeras, is under siege by daemonic incursion. The nearby Hive World Carnia burns with cult uprisings: Chaos, Corpsegrinder, and Genestealer alike. Orks are converging on Volantis for a "propa fight." The Star Children approach from the void. And something ancient stirs beneath the surface.

This is a living, narrative-driven sandbox. Your battles shape the sector. Your units earn scars, legends, and grudges. Alliances shift. Heroes rise – and fall.

FACTIONS ALLOWED

Chaos:

·CSM, Daemons, World Eaters, Thousand Sons, Death Guard, Emperor's Children, Chaos Knights

Imperium:

·Guard, Space Marines, Sisters, Agents, Grey Knights, AdMech, Imperial Knights

[Event Report] What We Did at the Newport Open Narrative, or, How Makhret the All-Knowing Made their Excuses and Left

When one awakes and finds oneself in the renewed Battle for Armageddon, there's only one thing a Cryptek of conscience can do. Declare for the Oppressors and escape from the planet, one defeat at a time!

(Forgive the Dark Angels helmet. It was too hot for proper cosplay, so I went with this loopy "John Hammond of the forty-first millennium" bit, and... well, I was in the colours anyway...)

How to find Crusade Players?

Hey all, I fused a simplified version of the 500 Worlds Campaign, the Narrative 11th Edition Mission Deck, and the 10th Edition Codex Crusade Rules into 1 system, and am calling it "The Endless War" Crusade; let me know if you want the player handbook I made!

In any case, I'm trying to start a perpetual Narrative Crusade with people in my area, but most WH40K players that I find seem resigned to the "tournament with a loose narrative tie-in" direction GW is taking Crusade, but I know there are people who like Narratively rich, casual gaming... you're all here!

The issue is, I can't find any of you in my area! I know many hardcore Crusade players / Narrative players stick with close friend groups, but I'm hoping to find others who like Crusade as much as I/we all do.

At risk of doxxing myself I'm just going ask: 1. How do you find players that pref Narrative/Crusade over comp play? 2. Dm me >!if you live in the Eastern Ontario, Canada (that's all I'll say on a public reddit post haha)!<and maybe I'll be able to find some cool players that I didn't know were Crusading in my area!

Starting crusade in 11th as a new-er player: Which army has the easiest crusade rules?

Some context:

My partner and I are interested in starting a crusade game, we've both been playing for about 2 ish months now. He'd like it to be just the two of us (at least for this first crusade, as long as we play it), though in the future we might find a playgroup of people to play it in.

We've decided on Pariah Nexus as I've read that it is the simplest one to get into, but what I would like to know primarily is the title^ (along with anything else worth sharing!) or any ways to make crusade easier to play without explicitly homebrewing.

Cheers and thanks!

Coalition Captures Spaceport

While the Grey Knights and Aeldari silence the gun battery of the munitorum district, the space marines and sisters of battle were dropped into the spaceport, catching the PDF by total surprise. Despite the rapid response teams and flyers of the defenders, their poor training and discipline was no match for the coalition’s zeal…

Has anyone ever combined systems (Standard 28mm, Epic, Planetary Empires & Battlefleet Gothic) to generate a massive narrative campaign?

This is still in the idea phase but the vision is to create a massive narrative campaign across a star system in the WH40k/HH universe. Players would enter the system with their BFG ship with paper army lists embarked. They would be able to engage each other in BFG and deploy assets onto the planet surface around key points (PE) and then fight it out in those key areas at an epic/legions and HH/40k 28mm scale.

You are Bran Redmaw, leading the Bloodmaws to defend the Fenris System which is under siege. You are Mordokh/Typhus, plundering and spreading plague throughout that entire system. You are a Warboss, a Farseer, the Hive Mind…

In order to keep things on course there would need to be a Dungeon Master equivalent. This could take many forms, a Tyranid hive fleet invasion under command of the DM could serve as a backdrop for the whole campaign, with Tyranid attacks flaring up to balance out the skirmishes between players, or when otherwise necessary to keep things moving along. Or players could unite against the DM—Tyranid/Ork/Chaos hoards—it would all be highly dependent and tailored to the models each players has available. The DM would be instrumental in whittling down numbers so that the later stage 2k and 3k point games work.

Legions obviously doesn’t crossover to 40K but as BFG and Planetary Empires are OOP the idea would be to fill up the gaps with 3D printing.

It’s a massive undertaking so just thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone has contemplated this or—Emperor willing—have done this before that I could use as a launch point.

Disclaimer/Clarity: I’m not reinventing the rules, the existing rules/edition would govern their individual sectors of play. What I’m most concerned with is rules for how those systems interact (how many turns to deploy assets on a planet from BFG to PE, can a ship use surface orbital strikes, points conversions across the systems, etc.). This is huge, something that a core group of close players would engage in over months—time and model costs even with printing are significant, I’m aware of all of that.

Appreciate any thoughts

500 Worlds Stronghold Destruction

I am playing a crusade of War on the Vespator Front and the question came up, how do you actually destroy an opposing alliance’s stronghold?

All the missions that destroy infrastructure say (except Stronghold). It looks like the only way to destroy it is to literally use Planetary Bombardment and since the Stronghold has to be the last choice that would normally mean destroying the planet. Is that really the only way?

Thanks in advance fellow Crusaders!

Sharing a narrative tool I made for our Crusade games

Hey, hope I'm okay to post here.

I wanted to share a tool I made for me and my mates. We really like having a narrative for our mini tournaments and battles, and when AI turned up, we all started using that. It worked fine until we wanted to use lists and previous battle results. It would get so much wrong and ignore so much of what was asked for, and seemed to always stick in a Land Raider (dunno why ChatGPT loves these so much).

So I built us a website that does it better (so far). You give it the factions, score, what died, who your MVP was, and it generates consistent narrative across the campaign. It reads the thing out loud too, which I threw in cause I thought it would be cool, and it was

Let me know what you think; no account needed to see the demo rounds: https://www.lorewarden.co.uk/demo. It's AI-generated content, obviously; that's the whole premise. My mates reckoned the wider gaming community would like it as much as they did, so here I am sharing it. Obviously, can't have any brand-affiliated presets in there, but it works well for 40k.

Dominatus and Order of Battle -

Has anyone tried Dominatus with an Order of Battle? I know there's no Supply Points, etc. for it, but changing up the Crusade Army for matchups was great in Crusade games.

Multiple factions for a crusade army

I am building a Quastor Forgepact for an upcoming crusade. Are there rules against including other Imperium forces. As a long time Space Wolves fan I was thinking of slowly adding them to my roster as we battle over a war torn world. Is that allowed or no?

Planetstrike on Gun Battery

One minute was all the coalition had to silence the gun battery… Any longer and their barrels would lock onto the ships in orbit and pierce them with lances. The liberation task force decided to do a direct drop into the munitorum district and take the guns in a desperate gamble. With the firestorm attacks clearing the way for the drop, an allied force of Grey Knights, Sisters of the Valorous Heart, and Aeldari of Iyanden landed on top of the shaken PDF and routed the defenders with ease and minimal casualties.
