Suppressor for the LC Charger (and Rock?)

What does the community thing would be a good choice here? This will be my first suppressor purchase.

im not looking for the most noise reduction or super short or anything like that. just a solid suppressor for the price. No real price range in mind, but I’m going to wonder what makes that $750 suppressor better than the $600 one.

it’s a plus if it can handle 5.56 or used with my 10/22.

And of course I’m looking for recommendations on muzzle devices to serve as the mount.

thanks.

M&p 57 and 22x pairing question

I’ve become interested in 5.7 as a carry/defensive round and been trying to do a lot of research into the caliber before buying. Want to be able to train consistently and become proficient with the firearm, but 5.7 is pricy.

From the reviews I’ve seen the m&p 57 shoots so soft it’s “practically a 22.” So I looked into the m&p 22x as a potential range/training analog to save money.

Has anyone here tried this? How comparable is the feel and recoil? I got interested in 5.7 mainly because it felt like I could train 22lr and it would transfer well to the 5.7 vs the 9mm which is an entirely different feel.

Thanks

It’s unfair that the obscure little 22 TCM is offered in a micro bolt action, and 5.7x28 isn’t

Before anyone points out this rifle is discontinued, Rock Island announced earlier this year that they’ll be reintroducing it.

Here’s the old product page: https://www.armscor.com/firearms-list/m22-tcm-ba-22tcm-5rd

40 grains at 2800fps out of a 22” barrel, affixed to a very trim little action. Prior version retailed for $449.

It’s weird to me that, other than the Dark Mountain Stowaway, so few folks are making bolts for 5.7. I even emailed Ruger to suggest they spin off their 77/22 Hornet to make a 77/57, which seems like it would sell well.

But in any case, 5.7’s fringe competitor has a micro bolt, and they’re bringing it back into production. Might have to buy one of these until Ruger gets off their duffs and sells what I want…

I joined the club

So I’ve been looking at the 5.7x28 platform for awhile now. First time I’ve heard of a 5.7 was because it was the main caliber of the protagonist of the Splinter Cell series. Two years ago I got into the firearms hobby and recently I got my carry permit. Last month on my birthday I found this Ruger 5.7 that was state compliant on Gunbroker for 400 clams and only 50 rounds put through it. I’m really excited to take it out to the range next week.

FN FiveSeven doesn't work when wet?

So I was shooting my FiveSeven outside the other day and when it started raining it completely stopped working. Every round would fail to extract and the slide would get stuck halfway. I've always had perfect reliability with it so i was pretty surprised when all it seeming took was a little water to cause malfunctions. I was shooting fiocci range ammo and at first had a mk2 slide with a DT slide/optic on it, but when it started failing I switched back to the stock USG slide and it continued to fail. I used several different stock magazines as well. Im going to bring a spray bottle to the range next time to confirm it was the water but just a little surprised.

Anyone see this before with theirs?
