Firmware Update received for A810 Lite 4K ---> 1.3.46ww (older 1.2.43ww) Recently gave feedback to allow parking surveillance delay start to give earlier options to auto-start recording. Happy to report now we have options for 1, 3, 5mins etc. (earlier it started from 5mins.)
Haven't fully explored the changes but If anyone noticed more please share.
If you've ever walked back to your car after a hot summer day and found your dash cam hanging lower than it was yesterday or just dropped off suddenly, you're not alone! Summer is the peak season for this issue. Let's start with a few simple things that can make your sticker and mounting surprisingly big differences.
1. Clean the glass properly (not just a quick wipe)
Many people install the sticker right after a basic wipe-down. The problem is that invisible residues from glass cleaners, dashboard protectants, fingerprints, or dust can reduce adhesion. A quick spray of isopropyl alcohol sold by Chemical Guy followed by a clean microfiber cloth usually works much better than water alone.
2. Take your time when applying the sticker
The biggest mistake is sticking the entire sheet onto the windshield at once. Start from one edge and slowly press it down while removing the backing film. This helps reduce trapped air and improves surface contact. If bubbles appear, use a plastic card or bank card to gently push them toward the edge.
3. Why use an electrostatic sticker instead of mounting directly with 3M adhesive?
Electrostatic stickers act as a removable layer between the windshield and the dash cam mount. Not everyone wants a permanent installation. They make repositioning easier, simplify upgrades, and help avoid adhesive residue on the glass. For drivers who change vehicles, test different mounting positions, or simply prefer a cleaner windshield, the trade-off is often worth it.
A few extra minutes during installation can make the difference between a mount that lasts through summer and one that slowly works its way loose after a few weeks.
4. How can you improve the success of bonding to ensure it lasts longer by DIY?
Adhesion can also be affected if the 3M adhesive isn't fully activated during installation or if the plastic mounting base doesn't make full contact with the windshield due to its curvature.
Thanks to our community member Maje Such-Ad3039 for sharing tips for advanced DIY enthusiasts. As an experienced PC builder and technician who has used many of our products, he suggested:
Please note that these methods involve modifying the mount and using a heat gun, so they're only recommended for users with DIY experience. If disassembling the device, Maje also recommends using Honeywell PTM7950, as conventional thermal paste can suffer from pump-out after repeated heat cycles.
Hi. I've been using my A810 for two years and a bit with good results, but today I upgraded to the latest firmware as usual and the screen is now unusable.
Anyone having the same issue Or is there a fix? Thank you.
I've already changed the black sticker 4 times, but there's no way to keep my 70mai t800 glued in these hot summer temperatures. I Always cleaned the clear sticker with IPA each time.
But the T800 is still dangling another time.
Any suggestion?
