So i bought this 8bitdo 2c wireless controller, I updated the firmware, disabled deadzones and then I went to play games like control and genshin impact while aiming when I try to do micro adjustment it doesn't move at all I need to move a bit more to move the aiming cursor. Does anyone know what's the issue.
Hey guys I'm wondering what to buy between the two for Switch 2/Pc gaming. Price wise the controllers are 1 euro difference for me.
8bitdo Xbox lineup needs to be rethought. I don’t get how they can justify a product line for Xbox controllers recently and curious how others feel about it. While most of the others are also wired only.
Why would they introduce a new product line with the Ultimate 3, and it only be with a special edition color? Personally the color is not for me but I really wish there was an option for a standard color.
The other thing is 90% of this controllers features are what I am looking for compared to the 3E. Seems to me a that it has everything except swappable sticks, dpad, and face buttons. I think prefer the Ultimate 3 for the price point but feel like the color is done that way on purpose. Make me spend $150 on 3E then make the $100 3 in more colors.
It’s going to be a slap in the face to me for announcing the 3E, waiting 5 months for preorders, missing the launch window, announce a different line of controller with most of the same features, then launch an Ultimate 3 in basic colors after the 3E release.
I haven't seen anyone mentioning this online so at first I thought I had gotten a dud, but now my girlfriend got one as well and the sticks feel identical on hers.
They work fine, but they feel terrible. They feel hollow and very rattly, with tiny sounds coming from them during fine movements. It also feel like they "stick" ever so slightly, it's like the tiniest little clicking sound when I move them out of center position. I have to use headphones while using the controller because otherwise I can't focus on the game, I just sit and listen to the weird noises. But that doesn't cover up the plasticy rattle feeling, so I'm only half there.
I don't want to be like this but I can't force myself not to notice things like this. :) Anyone else notice this? Or did we get TWO duds?
My first party Switch 2 Pro Controller already started developing drift after less than a year and I’m not paying Nintendo’s controller extortion rate again. Decided to get this and even after 10 minutes I’m so impressed. It was a bit fiddly to get the wake function on the Switch 2 to work but once I did I couldn’t be happier. The *only* thing I wish it had was a headphone jack, but you can’t have it all.
Just got an 8BitDo Ultimate 2C and I’ve been testing the sticks.
Out of the box:
After updating:
The values changed to:
Then I tried the manual calibration method:
LB + RB + Minus + Plus for 8 seconds, rotate sticks, press triggers, then press the combo again to save.
After that, the circularity values became inconsistent:
Center values currently look like:
Does it go back to the factory setting again and is the current percentage okay?
I've been wanting to play Hollow Knight on my Mac as I haven't finished the game yet. The controller I own is the Ultimate 2 Wireless. When I connect it to my M4 Mac Air, Steam recognizes it. But when I go into Hollow Knight the sticks don't have any input. The rest of the controller works, but when I go to the controller settings in hollow Knight, it shows that there is no active controller. I tried the USBC dongle but steam didn't even recognize it. Any help would be great
Do not know what to do, it has been updating the adapter for 10 hours and no dice, any advice would be appreciated
Update 1: Dongle will no longer be detected by pc, is all hope lost? Please
Hi,
I'm really interested by the 8BitDo Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad, but I have a few concerns, mainly about the D-pad. I currently own the 8BitDo Ultimate C Wireless Controller, and I find its D-pad pretty bad: it's really stiff and honestly not very pleasant to use.
Since I'm mostly interested in the Pro 3 because of the symmetrical layout, especially for games that play better on a D-pad, it would be a shame if it had the same feel.
Does anyone have feedback about this? Maybe someone who owns both controllers?
Also, I'm still unsure about which color to pick. I just know I don't want the GCN version, so if anyone has impressions about how the colors look in real life compared to the pictures on the websites, I'd love to hear them c:
Just trying to be helpful for anyone intrigued or not fully sure about buying it. Only place I could find it was direct from 8bitdo and it took just over a week to arrive to me in UK. Not as quick as convenient as Amazon Prime etc and I understand if you're on the edge about getting it or not, hopefully this can help either decide yes or no.
(I personally love it).
To summarise the sound, stock is very clicky switches and the new purple switches are near silent, there's no click feedback - much less effort/force needed to press and easier to "piano".
I have attached pictures and videos going from stock to the new upgrade kit (including the box and contents and anything I thought might be helpful). Let me know if you have questions.
Stock Arcade Controller (Xbox version)
White is stock and the purple are the new
New caps are definitely lower and have less travel
Yesterday, both my sticks were drifting so i looked it up and some people here said to update the firmware to 3,04>, i updated it to v3,07 so i can manually calibrate the sticks by pressing L1+R1+SELECT for 10s to start calibrating
I managed to enter calibration mode two times but now i can't get to enter in this mode again for some reason, and now both the sticks are pushed all the way to top left and the trigger SOMEHOW is pushing the left stick down (?????)
I'm currently trying to recalibrate again by entering in that mode again but it doesn't go there anymore and i don't know why
Is this supposed to happen? The sticks are hall effect and isn't supposed to drift...right?
I was updating my adapter for the Ultimate 2 Bluetooth controller and my power went out when it was updating. When I tried updating, the adapter didn't show up in the software. Now I can't use my controller with 2.4g.
Hi,
Controller in question - 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller (Wukong ver) link
Sad to have to post this since I've had it a little more than a year by now with no issues. Today I started up a game and noticed it wasn't responding to my controller which I connect via the 2.4G adapter (dongle I think you call it?)
Although the dongle lights up as usual and the controller can connect to the PC, none of my apps/games could detect it. Interestingly, I tried it with an emulator and somehow it's the only device that detected the controller via dongle, but only using the DirectInput setting (idk what that would mean though, just throwing it out there if it's a hint to anything).
Fortunately, the Bluetooth connection seems to work fine for everything including Steam.
Anyone have any idea what's wrong with the connection via dongle? I've already tried restarting my PC and reset the controller.
Just got this controller back and December. Not even 6 months old and the right trigger is already messed up. I noticed this whenever I couldn't fire my guns in Arc Raiders. I'm pretty bummed out because I love their controllers. I have the 8BitDo 64 and SN30 without any issues so far thankfully. I do feel concerned now though, anyone else had this issue?
Hi everyone.
How's the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless gamepad doing in 2026? Most reviews I've found were from back when it just released, and since then there were various software updates that fixed some issues, and I also heard that the build quality also got better. How much of that is true?
Also, how durable are the sticks and triggers? I've had to switch several gamepads solely because their triggers kept failing on Me after a single year or even less, and I was wondering if 8BitDo ones are durable and reliable. I play driving/racing games like GTA Online/Forza Horizon+Motorsport most of the time, so being able to control the throttle and brakes is extremely important for Me 😅. Thanks in advance!
Hello, so i am interested on getting the Ultimate 2 Bluetooth but would be interested on getting some thumb grips for it, and i was wondering, are the Skull and Co. compatible with it, and if they are or aren't, are there any thumb grips which are both compatible with the Ultimate 2 and the Nintendo Switch 2 joycons.
[Solved! Thanks]
I apologize for such a simple question but you'd be surprised at how hard it has been to find this information. Does the 8Bitdo USB Wireless Adapter 2 come with a usb-c adapter? Or do i have to get one to use it on a switch 2?
Thanks for your attention on such a minor issue!
Recently, i've been looking for a new controller to play on pc. I already knew 8bitdo, since is a gigantic on the controllers market. And i felt in love with the Pro 3 bluetooth version. I play some old games that have a complete compatibility with xbox controllers only. I know 8bitdo has a partnership with xbox and has many controllers with them. So, the question came to me. I would like to know if when connected, the windows/steam recognize the controller as a xbox controller? I asked this because i searched and some people said this happens but with that ultimate version. I don't know if this happens on this one. I'm asking this because i have a PS5 controller and it sucks to put some games to work without having the right compatibility.
Appreciate your time!
Is there anything I shoud be aware of before buying this controller? I've seen quite a few reviews saying that its fantastic for the price point, with a couple or very minor drawbacks. Any quirks which some people have had? Or is it just a really good controller.
