I have a new 8 BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller. The analog stick almost always refuses to move the anything on the screen to the right for more than a second or so before moving to the left. I have the analog stick all the way to the right. How can I fix this?
I bought it about 8 months ago. At first everything was wonderful, lots of functions, nice controls, comfortable, but after a while it started drifting by 7%. I fixed that in the software to ignore that drift Universally in the games, but for two days now they've simply It started having a 21.6% error rate on each analog stick, making it impossible to play competitive games on it. I'm looking for a solution from the community, I hope you can help me, I really like the controller.
Hello everyone, I recently purchased my first 8bitdo arcade stick, and I have a simple question that I couldn’t find an answer to in my searches.
I’ve seen numerous reviews and photos of the arcade sticks, and they all appear to be grey. However, when I opened the box of mine, the model that arrived was beige. Is this a common issue? I didn’t find any information about color options on the 8bitdo website.
I accidentally bought the NES Classic Edition boards and bluetooth connectors, but I meant to get the old school NES stuff. Largely the boards seem to be the same, can I just drop the board into an original NES controller and buy the correct bluetooth connector?
Their website is saying they can't ship the original NES boards to New Mexico for some reason.
Hey y'all, I know that I can get steam to recognize it with Bluetooth, but I would much prefer to use the dongle. But when I do it just shows up as a Generic controller.
I just bought a brand new PS5 controller and a brand new 8bitdo usb wireless adapter 2..
I paired the adapter with an old controller of mine, but it was an offbrand PS4 controller, and when I connected it, it was really delayed like super delayed
So I got a PS5 controller and I try to connect it to the adapter, but it’s just not working. I don’t know…
For some reason every time I click the button on the adapter, it blinks and then when I hit the PS4 button and the share button on the PS5 control controller it blinks and then it turns blue and it stay still, but then the adapter will still blink so it’s as if the controller is connected to something, but the adapter is still searching
And before you ask, no, no one’s Bluetooth is on. I don’t even have a PS five I just bought this fucking controller to use for the Nintendo and I know that sounds a little crazy but I don’t care the Nintendo switch two pro controllers look big fat and chunky and I’m just not used to that and I’m never going to get used to that…
I don’t know why the adapter keeps blinking and the controller’s light is just still..
And I know the adapter works because I mean I’ve connected the offbrand controller to it and it worked. It was really really really delayed and it was pretty shit but it worked and I know the PS5 controller works because I just bought it and I tested it out on my phone so..
Someone help this is so stupid
Hi everyone, I just got my second 8bit Pro 3, it's one of my favorites controllers so I wanted one for my Switch 2, but when I tried to use the shake to wake feature it didn't work, despite having no issues with my first controller.
Then I realized, the gyro wasn't working. The weird thing is that it worked out of the box, but once I updated the firmware it stopped working (one thing to note, the firmware was updated already but I didn't realize). I've been changing firmwares back and forth to get it to work again, but I haven't had any luck.
It sucks because the gyro worked for less than an hour, I don't know what happened. Do you have any suggestions?
I've also been changing modes, because I'm aware that X-input doesn't have gyro, so it's not related to that. Also, the Ultimate Software V2 only lets me update the firmware on X-input for some reason.
I only have a linux laptop so I was looking for a way to update my new pro 3 controller. I eventually found this web.8bitdo.com website but I don't know if its legit or not as I cant find anything about it on the 8bitdo website. it seems my pro 3 really needs an update out of the box as the layout for S input and D input is literally reversed where S input uses the xbox layout and D input uses the nintendo switch layout for some reason. Thanks for any help and answers!
I've been using my Ultimate 2 Wireless on my Switch OLED using the method I read about on this subreddit (Update firmware, dock plugged in, hold Y when turning on, etc.). But I'd noticed that I can't capture anything, can't take screenshots or screen recordings when I press the capture button. It also isn't a mappable button in the Ultimate Software V2. Does anyone else have this problem with the Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller on Switch?
I have an Ultimate 2 Bluetooth whose capture button works perfectly. It's just this one for some reason. Anybody notice this issue or have a fix? The other inconveniences (like not being able to wake, dock lights flashing when the Switch is in sleep mode, and having to turn off the controller after picking it up so you can connect it by holding Y), is almost making me feel like I should've just gone for Bluetooth at the higher price point.
Also on a different but similar topic, I noticed that the controller only worked when I had it on the firmware update 1.09. As soon as I went to 1.10 it wouldn't work with my Switch anymore. Is this intentional?
hey i have a 8bitdo pro2 that i plat hollow knight on it and i played so mutch hollow knight that the p1 button broke how do i fix this and is there a way to prevent it
i have like 120 hours set into this controller and dont want to get a new one
edit:
so dissassembled the body and say that it had worn down the button a bit so i added tape to the button to make it taller and now it just doesnt work the button doesnt pess anymore (scotch tape)
edit 2:
so removed the tape and saw that a peace wiggled so looked at the left side and it didnt wiggle turns out a post that had been melted to it had snapped so the trigger whas not held in place super glued in place now it works
For some reason the top LED on my right stick turns itself on while the controller is charging very often. It used to only go red but for some reason now it's turning purple as well brightness changes seemingly at random while it's charging as well. Controller is a ultimate 2 wireless
I was a little upset that my controller didn't perfectly match my keyboard and mouse.
I might change the grey I used and then figure out how to do red buttons.
As the title says, I have issue with my 8bitdo ultimate bluetooth controller (switch layout, with bluetooth and 2.4ghz). Recently, while picking the controller up from the charging dock I noticed that it got warm, even tho it wasn't charging (the light strip was off, and the deck sit at the dock for a longer time so it had a lot time to charge). After that the battery became absolutely terrible, completely dead after 1-2 hours. Up to this point i haven't really noticed neither it getting warm after sitting on dock, nor issues with battery life (month ago it easily lasted 4-6 hour gaming sessions). Is it possible that the battery failed in such a short time? The controller was purchased in july 2023 and experience moderate use.
Controller came in today. Feels and looks amazing! Will be my main controller for a bit on PC/Steam Deck.
Sooo I got the controller back in january when I went to Los Angeles. The joysticks have been drifting for the last few months.
The problem is that I don't live in the USA, so I can't claim any guarranty.
I modified the deadzone initially, but it has been getting worse, so i went from 20% to 80% in four months.
My plan was to replace the joystick modules since a friend knows how to solder them, but I don't know if any joystick replacement should work, or if I should get a specific one. Does anyone know?
The Xbox Arcade Controller won't save or apply any changes I make on the Ultimate Software X app. I've restarted my PC, turned the controller on and off and disconnect and reconnect, turned the software on and off, but nothing seems to be working. Really need help with this one, thanks
Long story short: My Switch 1 Pro Controller is sadly breaking, with things like powerful stick drift. So I decided to finally get a new controller, and saw a video with this specific one I linked. Do I need anything for it to work on my Switch 2? Or does it already come with the things I would need? Thanks to anyone for the answers!
