Welcome to the playoffs friends! After the blood pressure increasing match today, it was nice to watch so many chips fall our way to help take some of the edge off Red Card Fest 2026.

Here is how things look heading into next week.

Omaha had the day off and got to sit back and watch the action around them as they continue to sit atop the table. Charlotte was able to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat when they were able to score the equalizer and the go ahead goal following a missed PK by Sarasota. Charlotte was down 2-1 before putting up a goal in the 89th minute and the winner in the 4th minute of stoppage time. With that victory, Boise can do no better than 3rd. Fort Wayne kept their playoff hopes alive by taking Madison to a draw, which also allowed us to get within 3 points of 3rd place. Equally as helpful this weekend was Richmond deciding that despite being eliminated, they would play spoiler, upsetting Knoxville 3-2 allowing Boise to jump back into 4th place and hold the possibility of hosting at least 1 playoff game. Further helping Boise was our fine friends in Portland coming back from a 3-0 deficit at the half to walk away with a 3-3 draw on a PK goal in the final seconds of the match (the recap is worth watching https://www.uslleagueone.com/spokanevelocityfc-portlandheartsofpine-2612750). Chattanooga dominated Corpus despite being a man down for part of the match. Though the loss by CC secured our playoff spot the one downside was Chattanooga getting the 3 points and remaining within striking distance of Boise. Rarely have I hoped for so many scenarios and actually gotten pretty much every single one. Looking ahead to this week:

• One Knox v Chattanooga (GO DRAW!!!)
• Corpus Christi v Fort Wayne (this really could go any way, but I really don't want to see CC again)

Saturday Playoff Push Day:

• Portland v Boise (GO BOISE!!!)
• Omaha v Fort Wayne (If you want Fort Wayne in the playoffs, root for them, if not, root for Omaha)
• Charlotte v New York (GO COSMOS!!!)(this is mostly because I prefer Charlotte limping into the playoffs)
• Westchester v Madison (GO WESTCHESTER!!!)
• Sarasota v Richmond
• Corpus Christi v Naples
• Alta v Greenville (GO ALTA!!! Sorry I'm a little salty about the match today)

Sunday Funday:

• One Knox v Spokane (GO DRAW!!!)

Another week with some pretty clear scenarios for how we want the matches to play out. Once again, the obvious: Boise W at on the road at Portland (without Barea or Coach Miller). As I said above, I'm all for a New York win over Charlotte because I want the top teams limping into the playoffs and Charlotte has been less than dominant lately. If Westchester can get a W against Madison, Boise's path to #3 just got a little easier. And I am rooting for Alta to snap their losing streak before we play them and what better timing that against a team that were complete asses to us. And finally on Sunday we are hoping for a draw in Knoxville to keep both teams from moving up on Boise. If things shake out as we hope above the standings will look like this:

Hopefully the results of other matches will go like this weekend and we pull off another W. Also of note, after this weekend One Knox will have 1 match left allowing us to have a clearer picture of where we will fall as our schedule goes on. Welcome to the playoffs! GO BOISE!!!
