New players mentality

We’re all out here grinding our safety ratings, trying to race clean, improve lap after lap, and actually learn the game ,then you get these absolute clowns who can’t handle being overtaken, so they just divebomb you into a wall like salty toddlers having a meltdown. It’s beyond frustrating. You spend an entire race being careful, avoiding contact, setting consistent laps, only for some reckless beginner with zero racecraft to completely ruin your race because their ego can’t handle someone being faster than them.

And the worst part? They crash you out, destroy your safety rating, then instantly quit the lobby with zero consequences while YOU take the penalty. How does that even make sense? There seriously needs to be some kind of banking or reputation system where repeat wreckers and rage quitters get punished hard longer matchmaking times, ranked restrictions, forced low-priority lobbies, something. Because right now these troll drivers can just ruin races endlessly with no accountability.

I know I’m still fairly new myself, but at least I’m trying to race properly and improve. These salty idiots don’t even try to learn racecraft — they just weaponize bad driving because they’re mad they got overtaken. It completely kills the experience for people who actually want competitive, clean racing.

Any tips for an online rookie

I went online for the first time ever yesterday and it was a complete disaster. Selected quickmatch a couple of times. Played Monza all of the times and never made it past the first corner.

It looks like Wreckfest. People driving you off track on purpose, or cut the first corner full speed to launch into your side when you reach the straight. Then there was this yelling and swearing everywhere. People totally freaked out against other people and kept calling them names.

Is this what Sim racing for a rookie without a rating is like, or am I doing something wrong?

Tips for Mouse and Keyboard players?

Recently started playing and did

2:03 on Nurburgring

1:54 on Monza

1:45 on Imola

Firstly, How can I improve upon this as I know these are mediocre times

Secondly, is the gamepad a better investment than playing on the keyboard and mouse since I've started to get the hang of it.

Thirdly, where can I learn tuning based on my driving style

Last lap last corner

First race on an XCL server Tuesday night. Most fun racing I've had in a long time. Spent years exclusively in f1 platforms and league racing but been on ACC around a month now and loving it. Stakes feel higher and I'm way more engaged in the races. Here's to more. 🤌🤌

Ohne speed spreadsheet

I’m on console, and console is on version 1.9 in perpetuity. The spreadsheet is based on PC times on version 1.9.

I’ve heard/read from many people I respect and trust that the PC version (1.9 in this case, since that’s what the spreadsheet is based on) is quicker than console.

So if that’s true, the spreadsheet times are not directly applicable for console users, unless you add .3-.5 across the board.

Speculation aside, does anyone have the facts on this with some reference material or a source?

A question/help about a wheel setup.

So within the next couple months I’m planning on getting the Thrustmaster t300rs gt wheel and pedals for my PS5 so I can use it for ACC (and other potential racing games but mostly ACC). But a buddy of mine is saying to get the Moza R3 with a Brook Ras1ution 2 wheel converter. Overall the price comes out to:

T300: a bit under 400 when on sale (like 370)

Moza R3 + converter = 400 (wheel and pedals are 270, converter is 120)

Which would be the better buy? It’s my first time looking into a wheel setup and I don’t want to go crazy on price, and they seem about the same price wise. Would the converter with the Moza be consistent enough or should I just start with the t300?

How to drive mclaren 720s evo

Hi everyone, i have about 130 hours in game and managed to do nordschleife in 8:18:9 for now, that's my best - but it was done in mclaren 720s evo with i think good setup from Hymo. Other cars that are close to that time is the bmw m4 only. Porsche 992 was about 8:26 my best. So i feel quite comfortable in mclaren (maybe not that easy like in m4 but i can see better potential), and my question is- can somebody give me some advice on how to deive this mclaren compared to front engine cars? Some tips, especially for n24 if you can. I will appreciate this and have a lot of fun learning this car

XCL lobbies full, when to join?

Hi. Yesterday I wanted to compete in a XCL event for the first time. I'm on Ps5. I signed up for the event in the morning, think it was Daily Sprint at Nordschleife. When I wanted to join in the evening, about 15 minutes before the start of the event, it said I can't join because the lobby was full. So signing up on the website is obviously not a guarantee you can join the actual event. When should you join those events to avoid a full lobby? Or did I miss something?

Just a funny moment I just had.

Need Help with Steer Lock

Hey everyone,

I’m having a really frustrating issue with my new Logitech RS50 wheel in ACC and I’m completely stuck.

The Problem: My physical wheel rotates completely fine (1.5 turns / 1080°), but the virtual steering wheel in-game stops turning after about 170° to the right. The steer input bar in the HUD also stops moving and doesn't reach the maximum right input.

Interestingly, I never had this issue with my old G29, and the new wheel works perfectly fine in iRacing and Le Mans Ultimate (LMU). It only happens in ACC.

What I have already tried:

  • Matching Angles: Set "Operating Range" in Logitech G HUB to 1080° and the in-game "Steer Lock" to 1080° as well.
  • Alternative Angles: Tried forcing matching 800° settings in both G HUB and ACC, but the limit in-game was even less.
  • Recalibration: Cleared and reassigned the steering axis in the ACC controls menu, turning the wheel fully from lock to lock.
  • Profile Lock: Tried locking the G HUB profile to the standard desktop profile (Persistent) so the game-specific ACC integration doesn't overwrite it.
  • The In-Game Trick: Changed the Steer Lock to a random value (890°), saved, and changed it back to 900° to force a reload.
  • Config Reset: Completely deleted the controls.json file from my Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Config folder to force a clean reset of the control bindings.

Despite all of this, the virtual wheel still stops moving past 180°. Does anyone know what might be causing this conflict between G HUB and ACC? I can't really turn the car that way in a race.
Any help would be highly appreciated!

I can't find setups.

i drive the Aston Martin, and it's a good car; nothing's wrong with it but i find the 911.2 very fun to drive. The problem I don't know how to set up my cars yet; I just use fridolf or some people's setups, but I can't find lot of JSON files for this one

GT7 simracer want to switch to ACC

Hi all, i have been racing on GT7 for 1.5 years now, and i want to up the challenge and my sim racing skills. How is ACC compared to GT7. Would've gone with AC Evo, but it's not available on consoles yet. So as a pure sim racing standpoint, how does ACC compared to GT7?

I've made a custom Dutch Police car livery and now I am always chasing my friends.

I put my blinkers on to simulate sirens. We all love custom skins, the purple fade livery is also custom, both his and mine took an insane amount of time.

MFD not showing up

(Solved) Hello,

I just got a new wheel and set up all the buttons. When I tried to switch to the MFD-Pitstop screen or position, it only says the last rounds time and laps on the bottom left. I tried using the MFD-Up and -Down but that only switches between showing nothing, the laptime and lapcount, and car electronics.

Any ideas on how I can fix this issue?
