the custom girlfriend creator has a ton of options. ethnicity, hair, eyes, body type, breast size, butt size. looks flexible.

i made a Japanese girl. black hair, slim build. the app nailed the body and hair. but she didn't look Japanese at all. face was generic.

then i made a second character. different settings. when the image loaded, same facial features. same pose. just different hair and body.

i thought i messed something up so i tried again. third character, same result. the face template feels reused. physical traits change. the face stays similar across characters.

if you're building multiple girls this gets old fast. they stop feeling like different people.

anyone else notice this or did i just hit bad RNG on character generation?

Hi! I spent a long time training this image model and have started dabbing in trying to build companion chat on top of it. Really curious what people are looking for in an app like that.

What makes a good companion to you? what's a must have, what's a dealbreaker? what's something you want to see that no other app does?

I would love to provide image gen, personality / character building, and of course chat that is fun and rewarding. Ideally I would want 1 image gen with every chat response.

What's tough is, I would love to have image gen up and running all the time, but it's slow to spin up GPUs and they charge by the minute. If I had lots of users, then it would be simple to just keep a GPU running all the time, but when there's no users, it's a huge spend. I'm brainstorming creative ways to get around this.

Another thing is, the image generator is only capable of so much, so I have to kinda work around in the flaws in the image model. so it doesnt totally feel like you can generate "whatever you want".

I'm trying to think of creative ways to provide good / fun image generation that is cheap enough that I can afford to keep running the app. Like maybe the GPU spins up twice a day, and generates a bunch of images for the users, based on your conversation, and those are waiting for you when you log back in? could be fun to kinda see what happened while you were away.

I'm also prototyping a browser extension that lets you chat with characters while on other pages. Ive had a lot of fun with this, you can find your favorite character then tell the extension abut that character and kinda chat with them while watching TV or whatever. Still bare-bones though.

I also would like it to feel like a companion as well, right now it's pretty ERP focused because that's what I end up using it for. I try to have non-sexual conversations but that only lasts so long. What are yall looking for from the non-erotic side?

Also what are your thoughts on this art-style? personally I like it a lot but i'm super biased because I built the model to do what I like. Is realistic more favorable? I could maybe pivot to training / working with an image model like that

I've been using Candy AI for 2 months. it's weirdly good at audio, terrible at letting you control anything.

I stayed because the voice calls actually worked. Most apps sound flat or robotic. This one doesn't.

Text-to-speech has emotion. Tone shifts. Not flat. The audio calls go further. the girl giggles, sighs, shifts mood mid-conversation. It costs 3 tokens per minute so your 100 monthly tokens get you maybe 30 minutes total. But if you want audio over text, this is the app.

Chatting works

Each girls stays in persona. Shy girls stay shy. Jealous girls flip to all caps when you upset them. Scenarios feel built for roleplay, not long relationship sims.

What's frustrating

You can't control image or video generation

There's no custom prompt field. The only option is "show me the scene" which pulls from your current chat. I was mid-argument with my girl and the image it generated was her topless on a bed.

But if you know what you want, you can't ask for it. That's fine for beginners who don't write prompts. Dealbreaker if you do.

Private content bundles expensive

That's $16–$32 USD per character. The one I unlocked looked more AI than the stuff I generated myself. Motion was slow and unnatural. Not worth it.

Every message I sent flagged as inappropriate, even "hello." The concept is fun. chat to level up, unlock videos at each tier. But the audio doesn't sync and the moderation kills it.

Where I ended up

Candy AI is the best voice experience I've tested and the chatting holds up in character.

The limitation is control, you can't prompt images, you can't steer videos, and private bundles are overpriced. If you want audio calls or quick roleplay scenes, it works. If you want to generate specific content or run long-term relationships, it doesn't.

I kept the subscription for another month to use the audio feature. But I'm also using another app alongside it for image generation. Any suggestions?

GGPT is nailing nudes for me. But when I try anything more explicit like penetration, the model goes crazy and gives me all these weird results.

Is this my bad prompting, or is this the model issue?

Free tier in a nutshell: Signed up, tried to chat with a girl I created - immediate paywall. Used my remaining hearts on existing girls, two messages later another paywall.

Paid for the monthly plan. Here's what you actually get:

• Images cost 30 hearts each. Your monthly allowance covers 6 images total. They take 2 minutes to generate and come out with glitches, weird hands, extra limbs, ignored prompts.
• Most posts from girls are locked behind additional purchases even on the paid plan. 50–200 hearts per post.
• Voice calls cost 30 hearts per minute and sound more robotic than the regular text-to-speech.
• The chat is fun, but falls apart. It also seems deisgned to send you blurred pictures you can unlock for more hearts.

IMO the pricing is aggressive, the quality doesn't match it.

I stopped after 1 hour because I was out of hearts and didn't want to spend more money proving what was already obvious. There are better apps that give you more for less.

Anyone else tried Swipey? Would love to know if your experience matched mine or if I just have high standards.

I just tried the new character pro image gen by GirlfriendGPT and I was honestly surprised.

The character consistency is amazing.

But my excitement went away very soon when I pushed for explicit scenes. The model was either ignoring my prompt or adding random artifacts, like extra legs, or arms.

Did anyone else manage to generate good explciit stuff with this model? All the advice is welcome.

I wanted something with solid character creation and better memory than the usual apps.

Folk recommended Joi AI so i gave it a shot.

What actually works

Custom character builder

This is probably the best part. you get granular appearance options and can actually shape personality + relationship dynamic. i built a middle eastern cop character and the app auto-generated her in uniform. only works well on premium though. first custom is free, each additional one costs 1,000 neurons.

Chat quality on premium models

free tier chat (basic model) was awful. responses didn't track, character just rambled. switched to saturn 5.2 after subscribing and it was night and day.

roleplay with cali caliente actually stayed coherent and got explicit when i pushed it. some filters exist — rape fantasy got blocked — but otherwise solid.

Where it falls short

Image gen is overpriced for what you get

costs 50 neurons minimum (2 images). tried generating realistic pov with sydney longstreet — prompt got ignored, she kept her clothes on, everything looked too polished/AI. anime style worked better but still hit or miss. for 50 neurons per attempt you'd expect it to land more consistently.

Live calls are a waste

2,000 neurons for 5 minutes!!!

Tried alexis texas. video was jittery, lip sync was off, just her sitting topless. ended after 2 minutes but still got charged the full session. stay away.

Daily neurons instead of monthly dump

Most apps give you everything upfront. Joi drips neurons daily if you log in. This felt weird, especially if you pay whole monthly subscription upfront.

I know that these images look amazing. I like how they don't have this obviously AI look.

But here is my problem: all these images completely ignored the prompt I wrote.

• Example 1: The girl in the shower is supposed to be with another girl.
• Example 2: The girl on the bed is supposed to be penetrated

Am I doing something wrong, or is this just the platform's problem? All the advice is appreciated.
