As an end of year activity, our teacher made us create memes for her, out of which she picks her favorites to post for next year's class bulletin. These are my entries

Thesis (Am I cooked)

Is it enough to earn the thesis point if all I did was:

In the case of personal development and individualized learning (author)'s point is valid. But, in the case of feats of communication or cooperation (author)'s point is less valid.

trade school vs four year college

WERE WE SUPPOSED TO PICK A SIDE OR NO BC I REALIZED I DID BUT AT THE SAME TIME I STATED THE FACTORS OF BOTH CHOICES SO IDK BUT IN MY THESIS I PICKED A SIDE

I THINK I SAID “Although trade school can be beneficial for those who do not seek the traditional route after high school, trade school can lead to unstable job stability and income; therefore, attending a four-year college is often more beneficial in the long run.”

CAN SOMEONE PLZ TELL ME IF IM COOKED AND WHAT UR THESIS WAS LIKE

I only had two pieces of evidence on the argument essay am I cooked

It was Frederick Douglass and Nabokov's Lolita [not very well developed, specific and didn't draw a good enough contrast I think]

how fucked am I if I only wrote one essay?

I locked in for multiple choice and found it very easy, but for the FRQ portion I only wrote one essay and didn’t finish it completely. I normally have double extended time for anything writing but my accommodations were not approved in time for the test. I’m a strong writer and I completely understand all of the AP Lang concepts, I just take a long time to write. I’ve had a high A in the class both semesters and it’s frustrating because I feel like my test score is not going to reflect my actual abilities and knowledge.

i didnt finish 2 essays on my lang exam and i probably failed and im irritated as fuck

HOLY SHIT i just finished my ap lang exam. im so fucking mad im actually so pissed right now. english has always been my best subject. knowt constantly gave me a 5 whenever i practiced mcqs and frqs there. i never got anything below an A- in ap lang timed frq practices. i was regularly getting almost perfect scores on collegeboard mcqs. i thought i fucking had it. i thought i was going to do well on this test.

until i got paired up to sit next to this girl. i didnt think much of it at first since the mcqs went by pretty smoothly. and then came the frqs 😂😂😂😂😂😂😭

OH MY FUCKINGGGGGGG HGOD. imagine sitting next to a plane propeller. imagine a machine gun constantly firing right next to your ear. imagine the sound of a typewriter. THATS HOW IT SOUNDED LIKE FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE EXAM WHEN I WAS SITTING NWCT TO HER. IM NOT EXAGGERATING. OTHER PEOPLE NOTICED TOO. THATS HOW INSANE IT SOUNDED. THIS GIRL WAS SOOOOO FUCKING LOUD TO THE POINT I COULDNT FOCUS ON ANYTHING AT ALL. i kept rereading the same introductory paragraph for one of the essays FOR 15 MINUTES. WHEN EVERYONE ELSE WAS STARTING TO WRITE

i dont understand. i GENUINELY dont understand. everyone took 5~15 minutes to get writing. that shouldve been atleast 5 minutes of quiet. BUT SHE STARTED WRITING LESS THAN A FUCKING MINUTE INTO THE FRQS. WHAT.

she was deadass slamming her fingers onto the keyboard. there is no need to do that. everyone was typing at a normal noise level. it wouldve been quiet. but also for some ungodly reason she kept writing NONSTOP ufkinvg CONSTANTLY. like everyone else would pause for a few minutes to read over their essay, to process the prompts. SHE JUST KEPT WRITING WITHOUT A BREAK FOR A SOLID 1 HOUR AND 40 MINUTES. AND SHE STARTED WRITING INSTANTLY WHEN SHE GOT TO THE FRQ PART TOO

i was so startled by this. i lost 40 minutes of time just to read and understand the prompts. and then i got writing. ONLY TO NOT EVEN FINISH ANYTHING PROPERLY?????? i wrote down 4 mid ahh paragraphs for my argumentative essay with a measly sentence for a conclusion. which i didnt even get to review. i wrote down 3 lines for my rhetorical analysis essay (which shouldhe been thr easiest fucking essay ever). i wrote a paragraph for my synthesis essay. all my essays were horrendous.

towards the last 5 minutes, when i was frantically typing to at least get something down, i looked over and SHE WAS STARING AT MY SCREEN?????????????????? AND WE MADE EYE CONTACT?????? im actually crine this girl deadass saw my pathetic ass paragraphs 😭 literally because of her. btw.

at the end of the exam a guy came up to me to ask how i could concentrate with the girl sitting next to me typing so loud. i told him i couldnt concentrate and i didnt finish 2 of my essays. he visibly grimaced. i asked 3 other people about the noise pollution and they all agreed that she was insanely loud. bro

im actually fucking losing it im tweaking out so bad. this has never happened to me before. ive never fumbled or messed up or failed this badly on anythign ever. ESPECIALLY NOT ON A to STANDARDIZED TEST? i never expected this to happen. i didnt know i could be distracted by loud noise this bad. im genuinely seething and malding and raging

its so upsetting knowing you wouldve gotten a good score. only for something like this to completely fuck you up. man it cost my parents so much money to enroll in this ap (because im not from the us). i wanted to start bawling mid exam because of how much money that was wasted because of this bullshittery. it took them so much work just to afford this.

im still so upset like wow. im not getting that money back. my parents paid so much money for me to do well only for me probably get a fucking. 2. godddddd this shit is so fucked up

Niche evidence lowkey might get me the sophistication pt I hope🥹

Cooked SO hard on synthesis (I got the nap prompt) because I myself am chronically ill with very bad executive function, so napping is a part of my everyday survival it’s not an option and I never feel at my 100% 🥹 For the rhetorical (kite) I think I did pretty okay, I think I put a decent amount of nuance in mine. I talked about the “maternal” nature of the speaker being a woman who writes CHILDREN’S books! I also mentioned how she encourages her audience to not metaphysically overthink about the journey of being fulfilled as a writer. And then oh GOODNESS I was in FLOW STATE in the argumentative prompt. I talked about the Midwest emo scene, and funny enough I gathered some evidence from one of the excerpts in the MCQs about the Lakota community. I compared it to Buddhism and how both are very different approaches that are equally valid in coming to terms with peace. And then at last I did a musicology perspective about the phenomenon how as a society, we oscillate between genres, cycling between a “music revolution “ of sorts. Shout out American Football and Steve Lamos for carrying my essay I literally love you so much🙏

that exam was so easy i feel like i did bad

there were no non-modern passages?? like i knew exactly what they were saying for each one. the mcq felt so easy i felt so confident. the only tricky part for me was finding things to say in my frqs cause i felt like i was straight yapping honestly. my argumentative kinda stumped me no lie, like my evidence was kinda weird. but like i used tangled and like authoritarian leaders (are these bad pieces of evidence??) for my synthesis essay, i focused specifically more towards napping being encouraged in the workplace, and for my rhetorical, i connected the devices i used back to message (being that writing holds challenges and no specific rules but holds immense value nonetheless) i feel like i got a 3 honestly

How cooked am I if I mislabeled a rhetorical choice?

I somehow had a major brainfart and wrote a whole paragraph about metaphors and labeled 2 specific similes as examples. I meant to use the word analogy. How cooked am I?

the imagination prompt..

I used personal anecdote but kinda strayed away and explained another topic. Also I used a quote for omniscient readers viewpoint ("every human is their own writer") which was from a novel I read. I lowkey forgot everything else (after ap exams my brain automatically puts itself in idle mode within my AP head space) like is this a good argumentative essay PLS
