They made a Tomb Raider like

Afraid that will be a good, even maybe a great game, but from what i have seen it won’t be a a good Plague Tale episode.
A lot will disagree but i feel like they just wanted it to sell more games, at the expense of what made
the series so charming

(Video is in french but subtitles but english audio is your friend

The most hearbreaking and saddest moment for me in Innocence

I’ve only just finished A Plague Tale: Innocence for the first time.

For me, the saddest and most heartbreaking sequence in the entire game is when Amicia suddenly tells Hugo the truth to his face and reveals that both of their parents are dead and will never come back.

That scene absolutely broke my heart. Partly because I have a huge soft spot for children and find it incredibly difficult to deal with seeing children suffer.

But also because Hugo’s reaction as a little child felt so genuine, authentic, and realistically childlike. He didn’t want to believe it and thought Amicia was lying. He even said that she hated him. Probably because, in his childlike way of thinking, he assumed that Amicia had only said it to upset him or to say something horrible and hurtful to him.

But it was the truth. :( Or at least, that’s what Amicia believed at that moment.

Probably my new favorite games ive ever played

I just finished a Plague tale requiem I thought innocence was amazing and instantly picked up requiem I feel empty, this game was absolutely gorgeous, the story the characters, the environments, the music it was all just incredible that was an insanely sad ending after all Amicia and Hugo went through it hurts 🥲 I really hope they do a sequel with Amicia on her new journey

Age rating 16?

Anyone worried about that? They finally pick up on combat yet they decide to tone it down? Very weird indeed. wolverine drops by a cringe ahh studio yet they have dismemberment. 100% will impact the overall experience. Feels like every studio now is pushing for monetization and abandoning the fans. Sinking city 2 just took a massive dump on og fans aswell. I preordered anyway but this might be the last time.

Resonance OST opinions?

What are your thougths about the Resonance OSTs?

In my opinion, it's very beautifull, but I was expecting more references about resonance in the tracks haha

But that make me realize that this is a complete different story that don't necessarily needs the first two games to be told

Anyway, I really enjoyed the soundtracks, the greek instruments and the choir are awesome, Olivier just did an awesome work as always

Can't wait to play the game!!

A Chinese Gamer Driven by Love for the A Plague Tale Series

As a die-hard fan of A Plague Tale, I was beyond excited when the third installment, Resonance, was announced. However, due to network restrictions and a lack of local marketing from the publisher, leaving many local players in the dark about its latest updates.

As an exchange student with direct access to overseas updates, I decided to bridge this gap and introduce my favorite franchise to more players back home. I started posting on China's largest gaming community. Alongside deep-dive blogs, I actively translated official news updates and Devblogs. Since April, I’ve published nearly 30 articles and news updates, averaging over 1,000 views per post, and becoming almost the sole content creator in that dedicated section😭

Now, with the game's release right around the corner, looking back at everything I've built makes me feel deeply fulfilled—sharing a game I truly love with others is a joy like no other. Can't wait to play the game!

Masterpiece of a series.

I am interested in a plague tale resonance, so I recently watched Hollow Playthrough Innocence and Requiem on YouTube, mainly because I was too scared to play them alone because of the rats and could not help but be reminded of Sean and Daniel from Life is strange 2 in innocence because, I hated how Hugo came off as sometimes inconsiderate and annoying but forget that I immediately put that to the side as the story went because like Daniel he never asked for any of this and goes through so much lost SO EARLY of age on and damn this was even more heartbreaking and after watching both fully requiem messed me up similar to how life is strange 1 did because of how quickly attached they have you get to the characters because they are all so detailed and beautifully wrote, so I felt for all of them. Every death hit from both games, like a bus, and the voice acting of EVERYONE was phenomenal, but Amicia takes the cake. I got chills almost every time she spoke, and her voice cracks killed me. The voice actor Charlotte deserves every award possible 😭. The delivery of her lines was amazing. I felt and took every word to heart. The level designs of these games are also so beautifully crafted and make it seem bigger than already is. This has been under my radar for so long, they are such underrated gems and deserves all the love it has gotten, and I'm glad there's a new game coming as of now and I feel like I have to buy it and support them. I really hope I get attached to the new characters as much as the previous 2.

What if....

Now don't get me wrong, I loved the game so much but sometimes I feel like they deserved a happy ending.

Maybe they should have killed the Count before leaving the island, Amicia even thought about it for a second but then decided to just leave.

Do you think things could have ended differently if they had gone his route ?

On a side note, it's been more than 24 hours since i finished Requiem & it still hurts, post game trauma is real. Hopefully Resonance can help me out of it, or maybe make it worse lol

What do you really want from this prequel?

As someone who absolutely loves everything about both games when i first saw this announced i was suprised as we all know at the end of requiem there was a hint for the future? Still dont rly get what that was about but certainly didn’t expect prequel with Sophia either but then again maybe this is their way of kinda getting away from the rats yet staying connected within the universe playing as one of the biggest side characters and honestly i dont mind it i think this is a good idea I liked Sophia i wanna see her story

Now as for the gameplay/combat i have seen people saying this isnt plague tale like? What is this…
I loved the gameplay in both games but i would also say that stealthy combat fits Amicia as a character she is not a soldier now Sophia on the other hand is different so i dont rly mind this more aggressive combat all i want is same amount of puzzles and such let the world feels like plague tale not just combat defines plague tale wouldn’t you say?

So in short what i rly want from this is a good story , puzzles and i hope equally as good OST since i love the music in these games im hyped for this cant wait what do you guys think? Im sure not everyone likes this but it might turn out to be a great game i trust this studio so let me see the vision

A Plague Tale: Requiem on RTX 4050 laptop — Best settings on High to fully eliminate stuttering/FPS drops (windowed mode)?

Hey all, running A Plague Tale: Requiem on an Acer Nitro Lite 16 (RTX 4050, i5, 16GB DDR5 RAM). Currently playing on High preset in windowed mode, but I still get stuttering and FPS drops throughout the whole game — not just in cities/crowded areas, but pretty much everywhere.

Looking for:

  • A specific config (not just the preset) that keeps frame times rock solid across the entire game, cities and open areas alike
  • Whether any individual setting on High is the actual culprit (texture streaming pool, shadow cache, crowd density, ray tracing if enabled, etc.)
  • Any "hidden" or non-obvious tweaks that make a real difference on RTX 4050-class laptops specifically in windowed mode

Has anyone with a similar RTX 4050 laptop dialed in a setup that runs completely smooth on High? Would love to see your exact settings menu if possible. Thanks!

(Spoilers ahead ⚠️ ⚠️) Just finished Requiem....

(DON'T READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED BOTH GAMES YET)

I just wanted to share my experience, idk if it's normal or not but the game got me in an emotional chokehold by the end.

When the credits were rolling, I literally just sat there completely frozen for a solid 10 minutes I think, listening to that main menu soundtrack.

It's been an hour now, & I still feel this void, like I lost someone very close to me. I keep getting flashbacks of Hugo's voice lines, particularly when he was happy & hopeful of a peaceful life, & thise moments when Amicia carried him or hugged him, & his voice lines from that dream like sequence from chapter 16, "I don't wanna become a monster" , "You have to stop me" , "I've been happy with you" , voice artist has done such an amazing job here cause the way these lines come back to haunt you. Such a happy little child he was. Oh & that final visual of him where he is almost dead in that nebula form, it will flash in my mind every once in a while.

Amicia's brilliant voice acting did not help in reducing the emotional trauma either.

I don't know if I got too attached to the characters or it's normal behaviour for people who liked this game.

I can now also understand these comments, where people mentioned not being able to play anything else for a few weeks after finishing Requiem, I think I'm in the same boat.

Shoutout to the amazing soundtracks, but I can't listen to that main theme now. Truly a masterpiece of a game, last time something touched me like this was probably Telltales TWD & this might have surpassed that.

King hugo will always be remembered.
