r/AardmanAnimations

I just remembered this show exists, and now I will be posting it to this sub as part of our "hyping up old semi-obscure kids shows" schtick

Back in December 1996, at our local town's weekly International Film Series, the featured movie that week was "Wallace & Gromit: The Best of Aardman Animations". It was an anthology film comprised of some of their short films. Prior to that, I'd never heard of Aardman Studios or Wallace & Gromit, but that was the trigger which ignited my love and devotion for those films. From that point on, I was hooked and a fan for life.

Recently, I was just thinking about that specific theatrical release, and was hoping to find information about it. I found this webpage with info and a listing of the shorts included in the film, which tracks with my memory, so I know I have the right one: https://watch.plex.tv/movie/wallace-and-gromit-the-best-of-aardman-animations

I can't find any other info on this release. I can't find where it may have been released on video. My question is, does anyone else remember seeing this in the theater back in 1996? And most importantly to me, can anyone tell me the proper running order of the shorts? The only one I remember for sure is that "A Close Shave" was, of course, the main feature and was the last one. I would just love to know the original order in which these were arranged in the film. Thanks!
