Scott burns is saying we are after Lewis mayo and Brad Lyons from Killie. They are both soon to be out of contract. Still in the mix for David Watson

Would be a good player to have back, probably a bit like McGinn after his pace dipped.

Now the season is over (thankfully) what’s everyone’s thoughts on it.

Personally that’s one of the worst I can remember. That’s our lowest points total in over 15 seasons. Summer recruitment was awful, winter wasn’t any better. Just feels like we missed such an opportunity to build on the cup win. Now we will have a summer of trying to get a lot of players out the door

Well this season finally comes to a close. Tbh think we will all be happy to see the back of it. We can only finish as high as 8th place now. Some fringe players will be given a run out for an opportunity to stake a claim for next season

Gyamfi won’t be risked after feeling a bit of tightness on his thigh
Sounds like Aremu won’t be risked either due to fitness issues.
Morrison and Nisbet both went off early during the week but nothing mentioned about their fitness.

Which fringe players would you like to see get a run out?

I watched the Motherwell v Celtic game last night with not a hint of jealousy, but a massive dose of it. Despite the result not going their way Motherwell were excellent. There was a 20 minute spell in that second half you'd have thought they had 20x the budget of the team they were up against.

Would JBA have come to Aberdeen in January or even November (when it clearly wasn't working for JT) if Dave had trebled his wages or something? We'll never know.

But having turgidly sat through all but one of Aberdeen's games this season (both in the stand and on TV) it's hard not to wonder.

That's it really, an appreciation post for the job he's done with a micro budget, journeymen and unfancied players.
