Ink expression

some of these piece come out feeling they have their own stories contained within. with them there’s this tough moment of decision on whether or not to emphasize the story/idea with some good, but I felt this one was strong enough on it’s own. it may not make sense right away, but the longer you look, the better it gets. just my opinion of course.

My black and white textured paintings [OC]

Hi everyone,

I am happy to share with you my latest series of paintings. It's pure black acrylic on white Yupo paper (a synthetic paper). Using a synthetic paper is nice as it's possible to put a LOT of paint. With so much paint and repetitive strokes, it creates a nice texturing effect.

This is heavily inspired by Pierre Soulages work. Pierre Soulages was a French painter who has developed the concept of "Outrenoir" where the black color is used to play with light.

The most difficult part of this whole series was actually to capture great photos. It's been really challenging.

Now... You might ask how did I made that? How are the lines so straights?

It is because I use a machine that I program myself.

The machine holds the brush and is programmed to move from left to right and top to bottom.

While the machine moves, I put paint on paper. The brush picks the pain and spread it on the paper.

I decide where to put the paint, how much paint I put, and when to continue or stop the machine. I have also other artworks with different movements.

I hope you appreciate the artwork series, and I'm looking forward on reading your comments!

Cheers
