One of the loudest voices pushing back against the recent changes was just banned today. You’ve probably seen him u/Electric_basis

Hey so I’m shedding light on this on his behalf because we both share the same level of passion and genuine care for other students and how we’re all being treated right now.

This was done during Acellus business hours first thing Monday morning and wiped out every single post he made bringing people awareness of what there doing. It makes it very clear they are aware of how we feel, yet instead of addressing any of it they’re willing to silence some of the loudest people pushing back against these extremely detrimental changes.

From everything we can tell none of his posts clearly broke any listed community rules. If there was a rule violation, say what it was Acellus. If criticism keeps disappearing instead of being addressed people are going to notice.

This shows it can happen to anyone. They dont want us to think we have a say but we do.

The second we accept these recent changes and limitations is the second they become the new normal.

Just know, fellow students you’re not alone like it may feel. We are fighting for you, and we aren’t gonna stop until things are right.

His work will not disappear with this ban. We need your help. Post, comment, share how these changes have affected your life. Don’t let this make you feel like you have to stay silent. We do have a voice. Stay loud.

Stressed about what comes after graduating with Acellus

Recently I have been extremely stressed and worries about wether or not Acellus was the right thing to do. Im wondering if Colleges look down on you for doing an online school, and if im even going to be able to get a Scholarship (Which is something I Really need). Is there anyone here who has gotten scholarships for colleges from doing all of highschool with Acellus? And how did you get it? Please help.

I’m cooked.

So I have been homeschooled all my life, but was never really disciplined if i didn’t do my work. Which means that I didn’t. Now I’m 19, hoping to go to college next year, and I only have 4 out of 24 credits. Is this partially my fault? Yes, absolutely. But now I’m trying to graduate, and the lesson caps are severely blocking me. What would be the best way to finish school?

Note taking

Does anyone have any advice on taking notes or studying? I understand what I’m doing while I’m watching the videos, but I’d like to actually retain the information afterward.

People who have gotten to (Trigonometry + College Math Prep) Pls help me.

I am currently in Algebra II, and I'd like to know the vital question that is:

Will I be able to do Trigonometry and College Math Prep at the very same time? or will I have to wait until I'm done with Trig to do College Math prep, the difference is a matter of 4 months, because if I have to wait I'll be having to do 10 months and some instead of just 6 months to fully finish because of the new step limit.

Thank you guys.

Elective not an option?

Hey guys, I have two 4th graders who are trying to sign up for Elementary Ecology. Unfortunately, it'll only let me add one science even though Ecology is supposed to be an elective. Does anyone know a workaround? I tried adding ecology first but then it wouldn't let me add grade 4 science. The science tab doesn't pop up at all once one science class is added. All 3 of my students start class tomorrow and it's making me want to pull my hair out.

The whole system's starting to fall apart...

When I try to write something for my writing assignments it doesn't register when I press certain keys at certain times. An example would be like if I'm typing a word like "Repetitive" it might type "Repette." It's extremely annoying and should be fixed immediately because writing 200 words with that constant glitch is so inefficient.

Now that I've updated the app it's literally just gotten worse. Let's say I'm loading up my History Class, and then I click on full screen, it will work for that time but if I want to pause to take notes the full screen version just turns black and the video continues playing. The way to fix it is to close the entire app and then start it up again and then play the video again without pausing it at all...

And I've already found a way around this but it's so annoying if you forget. When you retake an assignment for the second time and receive a 100% and press continue, you will be forced to retake it once more (this doesn't apply to reviews or tests.) The way around it is to get a good grade on your retake but instead of pressing continue, just exit the class and re-enter and it will register as completed. Though, I think buttons should do what they say.

Acellus team, wake up please.

Did anyone else’s step limit go down?

I’ve been behind for a while (thanks to being a lazy freshmen) but I slam classes out by doing 30-40 steps and maxing classes out but I’m not sure if it’s cause I’m almost caught up or something but it’s only allowing like 20-25 max now ?

Fair warning if you want to finish school as fast as possible

Do not take the driving course because it has been limited to 15 steps and it does NOT give you credit for completing the course

Question

Hello, I’ve been trying to contact acellus to fix my account sign in. Every time I try to log in it says that the password is incorrect, yet I’ve typed in the only password available.
The payments are still going through but I’m simply not learning anything because it’s not letting me sign in. Still though, I keep trying to contact them by sending emails and I haven’t gotten a single response back. It’s been 20 days this is a major setback for me, yet they won’t help me. Does anyone know where else I contact an actual person from acellus?

10hr/ week of work

Is it mandatory to do 10 hours of work a week? i only have 3 classes because i graduate soon, so there’s no possible way for me to get 10 hours of work done a week. it usually only takes me an hour for my work so it won’t add up.

Very overwhelmed right now

I’m in 11th grade right now and I mainly use Acellus Academy. For the past few years I basically did no schoolwork because I was very depressed and unwell, but I started school again on Monday. I’m just really stressed out about everything. In order to graduate I need to do another 2 years of math which means I’ll be 19 by the time I go to college🫩 Can I go to college? I don’t even understand how homeschool works. I don’t know what I’m even asking about in particular, I’m just stressed and confused.

How do I graduate early for as cheap as possible

Hi there, I'm taking Acellus so I can graduate early for $79 a month with the scholarship. I'm going into sophomore year and I want to graduate a year early. My parents are cheap asf tho, so if I finish all of my 6 classes in 4-5 months, can I just finish off the school year or do I have pay the $79 dollars a month for the other 5-4 months (since a school year is 9 months).
