Premium or regular gas in Acura J35 Non-Turbo V6 engines

Wondering if anyone has been running regular gas in their Acura V6 non-Turbo engines. I know it's recommended to use premium and regular gas will lower the HP and fuel efficiency (Possibly?) What is your experience with regular gas? Any noticeable difference?
Thanks

A/C Pro Recharge with “Leak Sealer” okay?

First really hot day of the year and our 2014 RDX with 110K miles wasn’t blowing cold. We had it parked outside in the sun all day prior. Does fine under normal load and now that it cooled off again.

Had multiple people in Acura forums recommend grabbing some R-134a and recharging it. I picked up A/C Pro unit with the built-in gauge from Walmart. I’m hesitating at the mention of “Leak Sealer”. Nothing to worry about? Or, return it for something “pure”? Thanks!

Old and new(er)

My 2011 TL on the rigjt when I traded it in for the 2022 on the left. It was a great car. Like the new one better though.

Forward-facing car seat in 2022 TLX?

Hey all, does anyone use a forward-facing car seat in their TLX?

Just wondering how the fit is in the rear seat—especially:

Space/legroom impact up front
Overall fit/comfort for regular use

Appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Gonna miss her!

Traded in my 2009 MDX with 286k miles for a 2019 MDX A Spec last weekend. My 2nd gen was an absolute TANK. Best $4500 I have ever spent, it got me through some seriously tough times. Gonna miss that car. But hey, this new MDX is sweet!

2025 MDX Advance steering column making a grinding noise on startup

It's hard to tell in the video but the steering column appears to be rubbing or grinding against something on startup. Seems to happen only on startup and only 50% of the time.

I've scheduled an appointment with the dealer end of the month.

What parts do they need to replace? only the steering column?

In the past for any issue, my dealer always says that the technician was unable to reproduce it.
I'm afraid they will pull the same excuse this time since I've noticed the grinding noise only 50% of the time.

Timing belt tensioner leak

I recently brought my ‘22 MDX with 67k miles to the dealership for an oil change. The tech called me to the back and showed me this picture of the tensioner apparently leaking fluid. He recommended that I take a loaner car and let them immediately replace the tensioner, timing belt, and water pump for $2,000. I purchased the car only two years ago as a CPO and it is still under warranty, but the tech said that would only knock off about $600.

I understand replacing the belt, tensioner, and water pump are part of regular maintenance at 100k, but this is way earlier than I expected to be dealing with this. I also happened to stumble across this post alleging this same dealership is running some kind of tensioner replacement scam, although I have no evidence of that.

Question: How urgent is a leak of this nature?

Newer Acura battery change - Make sure you jam your brake pedal down as hard as possible when trying to start your vehicle.

Hey guys, I have a 2019 RDX and the infotainment screen was acting up, so I decided to disconnect the negative battery terminal to reset it. I hook it all back up, and now the car won’t start. The engine tries to turn over, but it just won’t start. I then read a suggestion on a Facebook post that when you connect a new battery that you need to jam the brake as hard as you can the first time you start the car. With a tow truck en route, I gave that a try and sure enough the engine started. Didn’t make any sense to me, but that was it. You need to jam the pedal down super hard to complete the circuit.

Looking to buy a 25 Integra 6 spd advice

Title

Theres a 2025 integra a spec with tech 6 speed with around 22k miles selling at around 32k. Was wondering if that was a fair price to pay as the manual is held at a higher premium.

Ive never driven a manual before but it looks fun and was wanting something more engaging. I would be trading in my 24 civic sport touring (cvt) for it.

Any advice?

I went 414 miles on a single tank in the Integra

Really only possible with comfort mode that limits the throttle response but is totally manageable, especially when people around here merge on the highway 15 mph below the speed limit. Mixed highway and road use. Filled up around 10.62 gallons out of the 12.4 gallon fuel tank, so I still had plenty of distance in reserve. Notification of low gas comes on when the range says like 42 miles.

Dealer making me pay for included service??

I was recently at my Acura dealer for an oil change and rear differential fluid change. They told me the first oil change was included with my car (it’s a CPO). So they only charged me for the diff fluid change.

I just got a call from the service advisor saying that the offer for the first oil change being free had expired 1.5 months ago, so I would have to pay over $100 for that oil change the next time I go in.

Is that really my problem since they were the ones that told me it was free ?? Seems weird that they would charge me retroactively…
