Hey, so I’m considering an Acura RDX. I am 6 foot tall about 250 pounds man. All I’ve driven is cars usually full-size sedan so I never really had a problem fitting. But I wanna sit taller. The RTX is technically a subcompact vehicle. So I wanted to know if there are any people out there were 6 feet tall and have comfortably fit into and enjoy driving an Acura RDX.

Additionally, if you have any other opinions on my other vehicles, I’m considering please let me know. I’m also considering the 2026 Toyota RAV4 and the Honda pilot. The pilot seems a little excessive for me because I’m a single person who only use my vehicle to commute to and from work. Thoughts on these options as well. Thank you in advance.

I own a business and having a truck or large SUV is handy but my workload has shifted a bit and I want to drive something that's more fun and more comfortable. Yukon's just priced themselves way out of reality for most people. I live in Canada and bought my first Yukon Denali for $86K Canadian, the same truck now is $120k. Anyways, I like the MDX but I don't have a dealer that's closer than 2 hours away so I just wanted to get a general idea of what they are like to drive.

I should also mention in the mix of Yukons and trucks and did have a 2025 Audi Q7 55 and it was more fun to get around in but it lacked so many features from my previous vehicles and I didn't always get it warm in the winter so it was always telling me to keep driving because there's oil in the fuel. I've owned turbo vehicles before and I've never seen a light come on to tell me to keep driving unless it was my diesel that went into REGEN.

I got picked up in an Acura MDX at the airport once and I asked the driver what he thinks of it; he said that it feels like Acura is trying to catch up to Lexus/Infiniti but just isn't quite there yet. I assumed he's a driver for a company that drives luxury vehicles so he may be someone with a valid opinion.

Thoughts?

It may just be my OCD or just road feel, but at 70 and beyond, there is the smallest vibration in the wheel. No pull or anything, just the slightest quiver. I took it for a road force balance, wheel alignment and rotation but no dice. Has anyone experienced this or am I being over cautious and paranoid? Ref: 2026 MDX ASpec Adv

I have a 2019 RDX Advance SH-AWD with about 88,000 miles on it. Mine was CPO, bought in 2021 with 19k on it and to be fair, I haven’t experienced a lot of the major 2019 problems you sometimes read about. Maybe some of those issues are still ahead of me, but so far the car has been reasonably solid.

Overall, I’d describe the Gen 3 RDX as a very good near luxury vehicle that doesn’t really do many things exceptionally well.

The biggest strengths are the SH-AWD, handling, interior comfort, quiet cabin, and especially the ELS stereo. The stereo is genuinely excellent. It also has a nice combination of sporty and refined, and people who get in the car are usually impressed with the interior.

Power is good, but not great. The turbo lag can be pretty rough, especially when you’re expecting immediate response. The 10-speed transmission also hunts for gears more than I’d like. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with my transmission—that just seems to be part of the character of this 10-speed.

The driver-assistance technology is another mixed bag. The adaptive cruise control is okay, but certainly not great. The collision-mitigation system can be overly sensitive, and I’ve experienced the phantom-braking issue where shadows or certain road conditions can trigger it. As far as I know, Acura never really completely solved that. The system also seems to nag you constantly. Rear cross-traffic alert works pretty well, but again, I wouldn’t call it exceptional.

Then there are the ownership costs. Gas mileage is horrible for what the vehicle is. Tires aren’t cheap, repairs aren’t cheap, and the front suspension seems more delicate than I would expect from an Acura. The panoramic sunroof and reports of exploding glass are also concerning, and the infotainment system is probably one of the worst parts of the vehicle.

The ventilated seats are disappointing, and the A/C performance isn’t great either. On a hot day, the interior gets extremely hot and takes longer than I think it should to cool down.

Fit and finish is good, but not amazing. The seats themselves are very good, the cabin is very quiet, and I’m glad Acura used a timing chain rather than a timing belt.

If someone asked me whether I like my RDX, the answer is yes. It’s a nice car and I enjoy driving it.

Frustration is it could have been a great car have they made a few changes.

But if someone asked whether I think it’s the best choice for somebody planning to keep one to 150,000–180,000 miles, I’m not so sure. From a long-term durability and ownership-cost standpoint, I think the Gen 2 RDX may actually have an advantage.

Outside of the ELS stereo and the way the SH-AWD helps the car handle, there isn’t really one area where I’d say the Gen 3 RDX is class-leading. It does a lot of things pretty well, a few things very well, and a few things that can be downright frustrating.

I've driven the 2024 incomparable trim and it's pretty much the same.

Recently I encountered some road raging people that threw stuff at my car. I have a 2019 Acura RDX Advanced with 360 cameras. Does anyone know of a way I could install some sort of recording device and connect it to these cameras?

Change my 06 tl left side and rear motor mounts with oem mounts. But now when I accelerate and let off the gas it starts to make a weird whining noise, any ideas
