30 M LF Friends

Hey guys, I'm almost 30 and honestly i don't have any friends. My life was really tough and now I'm on a journey to lose weight. I'm looking for some people to spend time with and play games together. I can say I'm a humorous, chill guy. I'm mostly playing survival games like Minecraft, Rust, Raft or I'm down to something you'd like to play. I also like to play Fortnite sometimes. Just hit me up and I'm sure we can hit it off!

34M Looking for genuine friend connections or a duo

Hello! My name is Sora a 34 y/o male looking to make some genuine friends.

About me: I like to play RPG's those are my bread and butter genre (Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Yakuza, Pokemon etc...) but I do like other genres of gaming like Horror, Action, platformers, Survival Crafting and more! I am slowly discovering more games to play as I expand and push myself out of my comfort zone a little at a time. Other then gaming I like Anime, Sci-FI Fantasy movies, shows, and audiobooks. I am a introvert and a homebody so I am home most if not all the time so my flexibility is pretty good. Most of my game library is on PC but newer titles will probably be on Ps5 since my PC is not to powerful.

What I am looking for: I am looking for genuine connections. People that are patient and understanding. I can be a bit shy but I do open up. I'm looing for people that I can be myself around and enjoy company weather it be watching each other game/watch things or even playing together.

Being at the age that I am finding new friends is getting harder and harder.

Why be a griefer? (Question from an M38 gamer)

M38 Gamer here, and I have been driven from all open world type games that include PVP in any form.

Simply put - griefers.

Those delightful individuals that seek to ruin the experience of others by hunting down new players, or repeatedly destroying their stuff and not even for looting purposes.

Rust, ARK, GTAO, Conan, its all the same. I get some games like Rust are built around pvp, but there are still so god dang many jerks on there.

Why do they do this? Do they actually get some form of gratification from messing with others so badly that they quit? Is it actually fun for them?

I don't understand, and I never have.

29 Looking for Gaming Not Love

Yeah so, I was looking through this redit and it seemed much of it devolved into dating website with similar attention mechanic of Tinder. Anyhow, I don't want to waste your time - I play loads of games (mostly no competitive or too hard tho, I like laid back gaming). My main focus during gameplay with people is to talk and have a good time rather than sweat over winning next match. I play REPO, Phasma, this new chameleon game, Peak, lethal company, world war z, Garry's, L4D, actually I am ready to play almost anything coop like and for now I have means and wish to buy any new game as needed. I play on PC.

I am overall laid back and (I hope) nice to talk person and I am ready to accommodate any quirks and things during the game as well as any kind of person as long as we are being nice to each other.

I would be happy to get message from any gender, age etc., I do want to say though that on the risk of sounding ageist I think our communication will be easier if we are not more than 7-10 years apart prolly. I have some Slavic accent, but I think my English is overall okay as I both worked for US companies and was in English speaking university. I hope you are okay with me being from Eastern Europe.

Feel free to ping me, write DM to me or in comments :)

How many games do you replay nowadays? I remember back in the day, it was a lot for me but not so much now. Is it just age or the quality of games? I’m 27 male btw 😂

Hiya!

Introvert + Professional Yapper Looking for Gaming Friends 42m/32f

post got deleted so lemme try this again!

My friend (42) and I (32) are looking for some consistent gaming friends to play and hang out with! we play ps but down to play with PC players as well!

Lately we’ve both been playing Dead by Daylight, Monster Hunter, and Grounded. I’m also really into survival games like Green Hell, and we’re both open to trying new games if we find a good couple of people to play with.

Our skill levels are… slightly different 😂 my friend is definitely the sweaty gamer of the duo and plays a little bit of everything. Meanwhile, I’m newer to gaming and bring enthusiasm, questionable decisions, and the occasional accidental death to the team. Basically, he tries to keep us alive and I keep things interesting 😂

Personality-wise, we balance each other out pretty well too. I’m definitely the talkative one and can probably carry an entire conversation by myself if necessary 😂 while he’s more on the quiet, introverted side and takes a little longer to come out of his shell. So if you join us and I’m talking your ear off while he’s quietly judging my latest terrible decision in the background, that’s pretty much our normal dynamic.

We’re mostly looking for chill, friendly people around our age who actually want to play consistently—not just add each other and then disappear into the void forever. We like joking around, playful banter, and having fun, whether we're actually winning or everything has gone completely off the rails.

Skill level doesn’t matter—we clearly have both ends of the spectrum covered.

If that sounds like your cup of tea, feel free to message me! 😊

34 M - The weekend is for gaming

Its a beautiful weekend which means its time to make the most of it by sitting inside and staring at our screens 😅

Mostly play on PC, a lil bit on PS5 too but so much is crossplay anyway these days. Multiplayer games I play regularly are Dead By Daylight (gotta get those anniversary BPs), Rainbow Six Seige (for those who love to suffer), Overwatch and FFXIV but I've got a bunch of survival and a couple of friendslop games too. Been playing on a private Ark game with my brother a lot, I refuse to put up with being tethered etc anymore!

Plus its summer sale on steam so who knows! If you mention something that sounds fun it's a great time for me to to pick it up.

Cant say im particularly great at any of them but I enjoy my games despite this, but if want someone for your triple dog diamond level master rank games you may be disappointed. Now if you want a fun game where we still try somewhere in the middle ranks... I'm your guy.

As for myself I'm a massive dork, insufferable lefty, anime fan and home bug. Need to start going gym again so anyone who can motivate me to drag my butt there after work gets bonus points even if it means less game time.

Live in a commuter town north of London with my brother, I have a son but things are.... complex with his mother at the moment so contact is sporadic. Im not looking for someone to vent to about that though 😅 you do not need to be local at all though, Im often up late anyway.

See you on the slip stream console cowboy!

(29) female gamer who has stopped using vc

Why are men and some women so nasty. I’ve come across too many men that as soon as they find out you’re a girl they’re just awful and no one says a word to them I’m yet to come across someone to pull them they all just laugh and jump in I literally just want to play my games and have a laugh too

34m tired of playing solo.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been gaming by myself for a long time now, and I’m at the point where it’s just not as fun anymore. Most of the people I used to play with either quit gaming or moved on to different games, so I’m hoping to meet some new people to play with.

I’m 34, married, work full-time, and have kids, so I usually game in the evenings after work. I only get a couple of hours a day to play, so I like making the most of that time.
I play on PC and I’m into all kinds of games. MMOs are probably my favorite, but I also enjoy survival games, FPS games, extraction shooters, RPGs, and pretty much anything that’s fun with the right people.

Some games I’ve played or still play:
Black Desert Online
Guild Wars 2
New World
Diablo 4
Apex Legends
Rust
DayZ
7 Days to Die
Sons of the Forest
Valheim
ARK
Escape from Tarkov
Hunt: Showdown
The Finals
Helldivers 2

I’m always open to trying new games too. Honestly, I think I’m more interested in finding a solid group of people than finding the “perfect” game.
I’m competitive when the game calls for it, but I’m not toxic. I just want to laugh, have good conversations, and enjoy gaming again instead of queueing solo every night.
If you’re around my age or have a group that wouldn’t mind another player, feel free to reach out. Even if we don’t play the same games right now, I’m always down to try something new.

Are games becoming extra complex or am I getting older? 31M

I have been a casual gamer all my life - when I was younger it was FIFA, Counter Strike, Need for apeed, Warcraft(the original DOTA).
I have played aome other games here and there(Last of us for example), but I am not the type
of gamer who would spend ages on getting to the smallest detail of the game - I justbplay for fun(or getting angry for losing lol).
I downloaded Dota 2 yesterday to play casually, as otherwise I only play CS2 for a few hours in the evening.
That game felt extremely complex even though I know the basics.
The graphics felt a lot(not sure how to explain it), everything was super colorful and childishly made.
I felt overstimulated and couldn't concentrate on the game - I kept feeling lost.
Its also the thousands of options you get in games now - COD for example. Its hundreds of guns with hundreds of updates, crates to open and buy, skins and what not.
It takes me an hour to just go through the menus of a new game.
Need for speed(Underground 2 for example), used to have a decent amount of cars and tunes, but didn't feel so overstimulating.
Am I just getting old?

(28) Tired of playing games solo, but everyone is weird

Not sure how to explain this, but everyone I try to play with online just seem off.. I remember being a kid playing games online and everyone wanted to talk on the mic. Hell, you were almost guaranteed to find a lobby full of people talking and end up playing with for hours OR being friends with for YEARS. These days I find myself talking in game less and less and even muting people soon as I hear anything lol. I’m growing tired of playing solo so I’ve been stepping out to actually try talking in game but the people I play with are either MAD cringe or just off; not sure how else to explain it. Does anyone else feel this way??

EDIT: My Steam name is WhoGotTupac, my discord is mocha_desires
Recently been playing The Finals, Fortnite, Over The Top WW1, Arc Raiders. I’m open to all types of games at this point and would love to play more of those “friendslop” type games too lol. Just with this problem I stated above, it’s hard to find people who are chill.

Decision paralysis – I need your help (44).

Hive mind! I've had a really rough two years working 60+ hour weeks while caring full time for a sick family member and I’ve had 1 hour a fortnight to game, if I’ve been lucky. I have the next fortnight off, could I please ask your opinions to help me choose what to play during my break? I have total decision paralysis.

While my gaming time has been slim to none since covid, I played competitive WoW for 6 years (3v3 R1 for 4 years + PvE) and while I don't want an MMO, I've not found a combat system that comes close and haven’t found anything since that quite scratches that gameplay loop itch. I adore a big budget, AAA storyworld with refined combat – I loved HZD/HFW, GoW/Ragnarok, Ghost of Tsushima and Spider-Man. Conversely I appreciated the stories and world-building in Witcher 3 & RDR2 but found their controls/combat lacking and feel these games don't respect the player's time.

Hoping to knock my socks off with some fantastic experiences that flex my PS5 Pro or M5 Max (work machine). If you've played these or have any advice for other games I'd really appreciate it 😊

I hit max number of options in the but poll I’m also considering the Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Jedi Survivor, Elden Ring, the Alan Wakes, Risk Of Rain 2, Doom Eternal and Disco Elysium.

Thank you very much.
