failed my first aero run. 😭

day 52 and she finally became too big to stay under the light and was starting to burn on top, had to move into the tent to finish. still have a big, beautiful, healthy plant though!

next run i will be much more aggressive with training. originally this started in a wardrobe so i didn’t give myself much room to work. respect to all you wizards that manage to make it seed to harvest with only 2’ of space!

also, i haven’t seen it mentioned here much but i would recommend an external reservoir. was a huge QoL improvement not having to be home to top off everyday. I got the one sold by Aerogarden but it would be very simple to recreate for a fraction of the cost.

New to Aero Growing - Have Some Qs

Hey all -

Excited to do my first batch. I have some photo and some auto seeds on the way. In the meantime, I'm planning on using this that I've had around the house: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B6BB4TVC

It's 24W and only raises up to 14.5" though, so I know I'll need to eventually buy a stronger light and detach the existing one.

I wanted to ask a few questions I didn't see in the aeroweed guide:

- Do I start my light down as close as possible and move up as they start to get close to the light, or just go ahead and be at max height already?

- Is it fine to just follow the product's nutrient schedule and use their included nutrients? I feel like I read some people have done that here with success, but wanted to check

- Is it fine to... put a small box or something else around / over my hydrogarden? Even at 24W it's crazy bright for my 1-bed apartment.

- Along those lines, how are those of you living in tight quarters handling your growth? I don't have the room in this place to build a full, dedicated box :/

Thanks in advance!
