Ticket Prices to Drop?

I want to go Sunday to see Tool. I was supposed to go to SNW this year but something came up and had to resell my tickets (lost $200). Wondering if prices will drop similarly for Aftershock? If so, by when do you think? I’m ok with dropping like 200 just to see Tool lol.

Going down from VIP to GA this year, any tips?

This will be my 3rd year going and this post might be a moot point, but I never really took a better glance at the festival’s offerings when it comes to GA and was just curious if there is anything I may have to rearrange in my planning and whatnot for this coming year as someone stepping down from VIP to GA (mainly cause of prices lol). Any advice is appreciated!!

Just Left Sonic Temple

Just left Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival and already hyped for Aftershock Festival 🤘

I came all the way from Texas for Sonic Temple and had a badass time overall. TOOL absolutely killed it. Ended up in a whole hilarious drumstick battle situation at the end of the set 😂 long story. Ohio showed love though. Met some really good people out there.

The vibe out there was definitely different from what I’m used to though. I’m tatted from my neck down, tattoos on my face, loud energy, always trying to talk to people and connect, and I definitely felt like the odd one out at times 😂 Everybody was still cool and respectful, but I could tell I stood out heavy compared to the Ohio crowd. Felt like my energy was almost “too much” sometimes lol.

Still nothing but love to Ohio though. Beautiful people and a great festival experience overall.

But man… I already feel like California is gonna match my vibe way more 😂 Every time I meet Cali people we instantly click. So I’m beyond hyped for Aftershock. Better lineup for my taste too honestly. Hoping TOOL switches up some songs because that’s one of the main reasons I’m traveling again.

Just wanted to tap into the Aftershock crowd early and say I’m pulling up 🤘 gonna be one hell of a time.

Food/Drink cost

Hey everyone! First time going to Aftershock. I am wondering about food/drink (alcoholic) pricing. I am anticipating extremely expensive for all of it. I am thinking of saving $1600 (all 4 days) for the wife and I. We tend to share food but will be getting our own drinks. Just want to see if that’s enough, overkill, or not enough based on past experience. Thanks yall!

Friday Questions about timing

This will be my first Aftershock, but I kind of understand how it works from my experience at Sick New World this year. I am trying to catch Cradle of Filth, Black Dahlia, and Dethklok. Is this a pipe dream? Will I be running from stage to stage, or is there enough time for me to get from one to the other between bands? I really wish the stages were next to each other like SNW so you can watch both acts and not have to move, but maybe there's something going on that I'm not realizing.

crowds advice

Realistically how close are you able to get to the stage? Like are you able to push up a bit? Or is it just a thousand people in front of you the whole time. It's my first big festival since the old warped tour days

New to Aftershock

I’ve been going to festivals for years including louder than life last year. They all seem to have mainly blacktop but I’ve noticed aftershock is primarily grass around the stages.

My question is how dry or muddy that grass is? Is there dust being flung everywhere or are people slipping everywhere?

I also had a question about the main stages, I see they’re not combined like most festivals. Is running back and forth a viable option or can we see the 2nd stage from across VIP (idk how good the scaling of the map is).

Schedule Question

Trying to figure out how this works and temper expectations. If I'm looking at Sunday the two sections at the bottom, I want to see both The Home Team and President - but if I'm looking at past schedules correctly these two would play at the same time on different stages right?

VIP/SVIP Experience

Why is it so hard to find a comprehensive rundown on vibe, view and amenities from the VIP perspective? Do they not allow recording? Is it some nefarious plot to avoid exposing the xeno-metalheads?

Hotels motels near discovery park

Im traveling across the usa. Last year I stayed at Rosevill in was peaceful. So its not worth staying near discovery park? Lotta people told me its either extremely overly priced or not safe? Im a solo traveler. I use rent a car

Looking for 4 People to Share Airbnb

Aftershock accommodations prices are actually insane this year 😭

I had a place booked MONTHS ago and the host just canceled on me, so now I’m desperately trying to find something while trying not to go completely broke

I ended up booking a large Airbnb and I’m looking for 4 other people who’d want to split it with me!

Details: • 9/30–10/5 • 2 bed / 2 bath • Less than $1k each for the whole stay • ~it a 5 min drive, 15 min bike ride (or lime scooter), and a 35 min walk to Discovery Park

My hopes are to put together a chill, respectful group with good vibes and a comfortable/safe environment for everyone. Couples, friends, or other solo festival-goers are all welcome

If you’re interested, reach out and I’d be happy to give more info, answer questions, or anything else.

That being said, I’m looking forward to meeting y'all!

Looking for aftershock friends! M[33]

hi there! I’ve been going to aftershock for the last 4 years and have always struggled finding someone to go with. I went alone last year after being broken up with right before we were supposed to go, and the year before that I went alome except for one day. And the year before that was just me as well lol now it’s still fun to go alone but there’s nothing like having that perfect partner or friend to go with. I’m hoping someone would wanna chat or something leading up to aftershock so we could meet up! also I work at a Hilton so I get Hilton hotels cheap if looking for hotel as well! I circled my main bands and blacked out ones I rally have zero interest in seeing and left the ones I’d like to see but are not the main ones alone. but also I’m not firm and willing to compromise and such! It’s all about having the best time. I tried to Use bumble friends and hinge and such but haven’t had too much luck. Normally Id never post but it couldn’t hurt to ask right? lol 🤷 anyhow feel free to message me or anything! hoping to make some new permanent friends or who knows I seen someone on here comment that they met they’re partner at aftershock lol man or womenfeel free to message 😊

Traffic Insight

I’ve been to Aftershock a few years but I’ve always taken the shuttle to/from downtown where I parked. This year I’m most likely going to have to take a midnight flight out after Tool Sunday night. With traffic after the festival gets out, would this be possible if I’m taking an uber to the airport straight from the festival?

Trying to find best sleeping/ travel option...

Solo-M some people tell me get an Airbnb or a hotel outside of sa. I did a hotel in Roseville last year and the whole car thing was miserable. And of course you cant really have any beer if your driving... I would much prefer to walk or shuttle to discovery park. Dont want to "over-spend" to much and dont want to get a place where theres literally crime on the door step. Had someone pull a knife on me just a few streets from the south side of aftershock festival for 2025. Weird experience, as I live in the state of Idaho where thats unheard of. The knife experience didnt bother me once he continued walking. But it was the 1 time i was by my self, all other times i was always in a crowd....

I'm pretty sociable read people easy. But also I would like to actually have a "group" to walk with, not just a "crowd", hopefully have some parties to go to afterwards and make some new friends. Last year's experience, everything was very last minute so it was a constant catch my breathe. Also my first time going on an airplane by my self. Sacramento still seems like a wonderland to me. Way different from where I live. Frickin love the people out there. You guys have a night life? Im so jealous, that is unheard of where I live

Who here is camping this year.

This will be my third year attending the Festival and the first year I've gone where they are offering camping options.

I am doing the Car & Tent Camping option.

Who else is doing camping?
