Can anyone ID this style?

Hi all, I'm looking for an Akubra that is a little bit more flexible to throw around. I like this particular style in the images but can't seem to actually find an exact match, does anyone recognise it?

Only distinguishing feature is the two holes on either side and the the distinct band pattern but I can't match that to anything.

Thanks

Advice Requested - First Akubra

Where I live I am unable to try on Akubras. I’ve ordered and received two new Brumbys, a 58 and 59. One must be returned in three days. Pretty sure I’m a long oval as the 58 is tight on the front and back. Not tight enough to cause a headache, but tighter than I would prefer. When I squeeze the sides of the 58 the hat fits properly, but obviously it immediately returns to its original shape. The 59 is too loose to wear without adding felt strips. With the felt strips added the 59 gently slides off my head after about 5 seconds when I bend fully over and point the top of my head toward the ground. With the felt strips inserted the 59 is a tad looser than I would prefer.

So…., here’s the question. Do I,

  1. Keep the 58 and “put a long oval “ into the 58, and hope it retains its long oval shape, OR…

  2. Keep the felt strips in the 59 thinking that the hat will also shrink a little bit in the coming months? Thank you all in advance

First Akubra - Advice (Part 2)

Several of you provided advice on my new Brumby purchases (58 and 58) and my dilemma on which one to return. Thank you for your help. The vote was split 6 - 4 in favor of me keeping the 59.

I have two related questions that will inform my ultimate decision:

  1. If your head is a perfectly shaped 57.5 cm should a person buy a 58 or 59 Akubra?

  2. Will a properly sized hat conform to a long oval head by wearing it for several months WITHOUT reshaping or stretching using a two-sided hat stretcher and steam?

Thanks for listening to my ramblings and for your help!

ISO Angler 60

Hey guys, I've searched high and low for an Angler in size 60 with a barramundi band but have had no luck. I thought I might try here and see if anyone might have a bead on one.

Western style Riverina

Hi all. Wanting to get my first Akubra. Liking the size of the Riverina. Also liking the western styles. Which of the western styles would be closest to the Riverina?

Yay or nay

Acquired a snowy river; just curious if the group thinks this suits me or not.

Advice for a hat for a Roadtrip (South WA)

Hi,

I am planing a roadtrip in December and January from Perth through Esperance, Albany, and Margaret River and I need a hat that handles the sun but won't bail in the wind. (Never been to WA)

I'm leaning toward the Riverina for the big brim, but worried it'll act like a sail at Lucky Bay or Albany.

Does the Riverina hold its own in the coastal breeze, or am I better off with a smaller brim like a Cattleman or a Brumby I already have at home?

Thanks.

Got myself a Brumby. Boss told me it suits me.

Wanted a nice hat that would last a lifetime and change up my style, and decided to go Australian over a traditional western. Wearing it out casually to work, and really loving it so far.

Finally set up a proper rack for the collection

Took me some time to figure out something appropriate, I found this on Amazon. Didn't realise it's in three sections, requiring six screws... so I ruled out putting it in the plaster (I rent) and decided the side of the cabinet in the living room would be a good spot.
