Opening day at Wanxiang Tiandi mall in Foshan apparently got a little too competitive.🥲
Hema/Freshippo staff in blue and Holiland bakery staff in pink clashed over the placement of queue barriers and how the huge customer lines were being routed in front of their stores.
Both stores were running opening promotions, the mall was packed, and what should have been two boring lines turned into an actual shoving match. The next day, the mall reportedly brought in a much heavier security presence around the area.
The skirmish became a hit on Chinese social media.
Next day: Mall cops in armored gear were deployed for crowd control.🤭
