How to turtle correctly?

I've been playing for years, and reached diamond in both zerg and toss.

When I was play zerg and toss, turtle terran has always been a problem to me. It seems that no matter how much advantage I achieved early game, as soon as the terran starts turtling, I will either lose or endure a long and painful game.

So I play terran myself, and try to turtle when necessary. However, things become the opposite:

When I was playing against Terran, the Terran turtling with 5 bases is definitely wining. But when I turtle and expand to 5 bases, the opponent zerg or toss can still easily crush me with about the same number of supply, as if my Terran army was actually made of zerglings.

When I was playing against Terran, they just turtle and use harassing squads to remove my bases easily. But when I play Terran, I found that I never had the enough number of armies to do harass and defend at the same time.

It seems that I don't have the mindset to turtle, or to deal with turtling.

Can't use Vikings to save my life

Hello, new player here (200ish games so far).

I can't seem to use my vikings effectively vs units that on paper have less range than me. Last game, I was vs protoss who went quick stargate into void rays, so I got a bunch of vikings out. I'm thinking his 6 range units will get hardcountered by my 9 range guys. Wrong. They just feel so clunky in my hands that by the time I fire and turn to fly away to try and kite, the void rays keep getting in range and shooting me down.

Are there any tricks to using vikings better? Any tips appreciated, thanks!

What is considered "BM" in sc2?

Hello, I just won a game with the help of some cloaked banshees and the opponent said I was "rude and souring the game," are there any Terran strats which are considered to be BM?

For context new player here (<200 games)

Anyone else had this happen? Just got to diamond and...

I'd been a Plat 3 player for a long time but only playing like 2-3 games per week.

A month ago I started playing more and trying to get better and I recently made it to Diamond 3.

In all my time in Plat, my win rates were pretty close to 50% against each race.

As I got to Plat 1 and now Diamond 3, I'm like 50% against Terran, like 70% against zerg, and like 20% against Protoss. And getting matched against a ton more toss.

Could be a sample size thing but I feel like the protoss skill sky rocketed.

Struggling TvT

Hello coming back to the game after about a year and have been struggling TvT it’s my least favorite matchup. But I don’t even know any build orders or general rules of thumb for the matchup is appreciated. For context I’m a D3 player but feels like my TvT is well behind that and I’m carried by the other two matchups.

2 Gate Before Nexus

Hello friends. D2 Terran. I keep getting cooked by tosses who play 2 gate before nexus and walk at my natural with stalkers. My build order is 1 rax expand with a 17 scout.

What's the proper response to this build? Generally I've been expanding on the low ground, putting bunker at natural, and going factory -> reactor -> marines + hellion. My units aren't strong enough to stop his stalkers from just walking behind my natural mineral line. I pretty much just die after he kills all my dudes and starts shooting my natural orbital. I've also tried my 2nd CC on high ground but I find it really hard to break the contain on my natural.

Thanks fellas please help a Terran out

Meta Questions

Hi guys, what’s the current meta for the Terran matchups against the other races? I’m returning from like 3 months and want to know if anything has changed.
