New Helio strap companion app version 2.0.1

I've installed it but till now no differences. In the update of balance 3 yesterday they said it will come a new update 3.25.02 for the Helio. Maybe that's the reason.

Edit : disconnect and reconnect of the Helio Strap made a little change in the controlcenter and gave me a little notification. But not the whole changes like described in the app store

Sync issues with Strava

Hi all,

I have been facing the sync issue with my Heliostrap since a week or two now. I had a knee injury so I didnt run for around 40 days. Before this there was no sync issue and the data which was shown in Zepp app was the same it was in Strava.

But there is a huge difference in distance when I start a run from the Zepp app. All the other stats are correct across both. But the difference in distance is huge. And ofcourse because of that, pace is different. For reference, today I also started a run from Strava. The 5.24 km distance is from when I started from Strava manually. The 3.93 km distance is of the same synced run from the Zepp app. How to solve this bug? It was working perfectly before. Thanks

Helio Strap Step Count Not Working Any More

Not sure if device or app issue. I have a Helio strap that worked fine for about a year. Last week (not sure if before or after I updated the software, but I think before) it stopped counting steps. Everything else works normally. It even tracks my workouts (e.g., heart rate increase, duration, etc.) perfectly, except for steps. I've tried reinstalling, rebooting, deleting cache, etc., and nothing works.

Missing Ai Food Log in UAE (Amazfit Helio / Zepp App) – Is changing account region the only fix?

Hey everyone,

I’ve had my Amazfit Helio strap for about a year now and I'm trying to figure out how to get the AI Food Logging feature on the Zepp App. I keep seeing articles about how you can snap photos of your food to track macros, but the "Food" panel is completely missing from my homepage overview dashboard.

I live in the UAE and ChatGPT told me it’s a regional issue.

I saw an old comment saying the only workaround is to clear the app cache, delete data, and create an entirely new account registered to the UK or US region.

My questions is:

   1. Is creating a brand new region-spoofed account still the only way to get it?

   2. If I do that, will I permanently lose all my historical fitness and sleep data from the past year?

   3. For anyone in the UAE/Gulf region who has bypassed this, does the AI recognition actually work well for local Middle Eastern foods/dishes?

Any advice or workarounds would be highly appreciated.

Battery

I have not charged my strap in 11 days and I still have battery for atleast 1 more day.

That makes it 12 days with one full charge.

Pretty good in my opinion

Fitbit Air + Bevel vs Helio Strap

Hi all,

I'm currently testing a Fitbit Air + Bevel against a Helio Strap + Zepp. So here are some bullet points I've gathered after a week of testing.

  • Superior workout logging through Bevel. Zepp workout selection is literal trash, I mean, they don't even have "Leg Press" as a workout.
  • Google Health gives you sleep stages for nap, Bevel and Zepp doesn't. Idk why it isn't in Bevel, since the data is already there, Bevel just need to read it.
  • Zepp has a live workout widget on the lockscreen, I really like this since I don't have to unlock my phone during workout to check up on some basic metrics.
  • Zepp has a calories tab where you can see your resting consumption and your activity consumption, it's cool to see.
  • Overall, Zepp gives you more metrics for your workout like cadance, stride, and a speed chart/graph.
  • Zepp also have a diagram of worked muscle groups after finishing a lifting session, Bevel only breaks them down by a pie chart with percentage, although this function is not very useful since workout log is so bad. I can't find a way to log workout (sets, reps, etc.) in Google Health after a workout, if there is, can someone show me please.

I wear both as a bicep band since I don't like having anything on my wrist. Both are comfortable to sleep with, Fitbit is like 10% more comfortable, I never notice the Fitbit, but I do sometimes have to adjust my Helio thorughout the day.

I'm gonna test both during a soccer session next week to see how they fair and decide which one to keep. Also, is there a point to test out the Cirqa at double the price?

Auto detection blows chunks

Newbie here with a used helio strap off eBay, placed on a comfy Amazon bicep band.

So far I am indifferent to the data it has collected especially from auto detection. I’m used to Apple Watch calories ring which I want front & center if that’s possible to rearrange that data point on the home page. When comparing data between Apple Watch & Helio they’re fairly even except Apple tends to over count calories burned no matter what

This is a common complaint I know, but how do I re-label the auto workout as a run, cycle, lift, stair step, swim, etc AFTER the fact?

It lets me re-name the workout, but doesn’t change the data itself. Just places a name on it

If I go for a run, it just tracks heart rate which suuuuuuucks. It defeats the purpose of not having a screen to easily start a certain exercise. It’s just a bit more tedious to manually start it with the phone app

Does Fitbit air do a better job with correct auto identification of workouts? Or should I try using Bevel as the data processing app?

I’m not invested enough in Helio to switch but if they fixed this I would consider getting the Helio Pro with the waist sensor for more accuracy

I’m definitely not paying for Whoop despite how great it may be

best app for android?

i'm mostly not satisfied with the zepp app. I've been seeing a lot of open source app for helio strap but none of them seems to for android. Does anyone know any apps for android?

Looking for a simmilar frame for the Helio Strap

Hi!

I've recently purchased an Amazfit Helio Strap, but neither the original band or Amazon/AliExpress ones are comfortable to me. I wish there was any frame simmilar to the one in the pic, but having both sides like the left one. That could allow me to use polar loop bands.

Does anyone know if there is any options according to what I'm trying to explain?

Thanks!!

Noise REP Band vs Amazfit Helio Strap HR comparison for Outdoor Running

In short, they are almost beat-to-beat accurate! I’ve been using the Helio Strap for over a year and already knew it was impressively accurate for most of my outdoor runs, but I genuinely didn’t expect Noise to deliver such remarkably accurate heart-rate tracking.

PAI Drop of 50 in a day... Doesn't seem right.

So I trained 5 days in a row. Mixture of Crossfit, kettlebells & steady state. Took the weekend off & dropped 60+ points. Is this correct?? Seems a bit extreme.

What happens at zero?

The amazfit helio strap is amazing at tracking activities automatically

After the change to Hybrid charge I do see that there is a better correlation between Hybrid charge and how exhausted I feel

I had a 1 hour cardio session after a stressful day and to top it off I've been feeling a bit under the weather as well.

Also I wonder if we can actually hit zero?

Probably not but I'm sure someone here will know that answer

What's your guys opinion on Hybrid Charge ?

P.S I hate the name HybridCharge , It just doesn't roll off the tongue

Alternate app with Smart Alarm + Better food tracking

Bit of a showcase of what is possible (on Android at least) as I wasn't crazy about the Zepp app and features so built my own instead which still talks directly to the strap. Went for a more data driven approach than others I've seen here, as that's more my work.

Also:

  • Smart alarm to wake me up prior to my set time if I'm in light sleep. (Still being tested to confirm 100%)
  • Session tracking with the ability to fix the times the band gets wrong, split a session that was really two things.
  • Food barcode scanner for meal logging.

Feel like if a random like me can build it with some software engineering knowledge and AI then hopefully Zepp eventually gets the same stuff.

If people want to try it feel free: https://github.com/atlas-healthapp/atlas
You'll need to find the pairing code via Gadget Bridge, but all information is on there.

For those using a Helio Strap in India — how did you get yours?

I'm interested in getting one, but since it's not officially available in India, I'm trying to understand what options people here have used and how their experience has been.

I've seen a few different import/reseller options mentioned, but there seems to be a lot of uncertainty around delivery times and reliability.

For anyone in India who already has one:

How did you get it?

How long did delivery take?

Any issues with customs, or support?

Would appreciate hearing from people who have actually received and used one in India

I built velisa for us

Instead of going through the apple health route, this connects to your helio strap or whoop band directly and reads data into the app. (Yes no more layer of whoop app or zepp works without a subscription for whoop too)
Works with an apple watch too through the apple health route but the features are limited as compared to a direct amazefit or whoop connection.

No log in no sign up. Everything stored locally and shared with noone.

Ai integrated into the app to give you insights on how to go about the day. By taking in your training, workouts and recovery scores.

Ill be launching this on the app store soon. Wanted insights on what i can add here and features that are wanted that we dont see on other apps as of yet.
