Is Amazon out of mind, I'm getting ads on my prime music even after having prime membership.....

I've spent years paying for streaming services and have nothing to show for it. It's a waste of money if you're not constantly listening to new stuff, which I don't. I've fallen out of love with music and that's probably because half the fun was being able to shop for it. If I all the music I actually listen to I'd bought I'd have a pretty impressive collection now and I wouldn't have been wasting money on potential listening. I remember back in the day I used to have CD's that I used to just copy onto my laptop then onto my phone. I remember after college going out and buying them. It was so much cooler. I'm hoping I didn't throw them all away

The only thing that's stopped me going back over these years has been the fact I can just listen on Alexa. Alexa though now I think about it is pretty crap. Considering how long it's been around as a voice assistant it's still pretty darn stupid. I don't use the smart technology anymore and the speakers are pretty low quality. I've just got so used to being able to get music by asking but looking back the tradeoff has not been worth it. Is there a way to have the best of both worlds? Not subscribe but still have my music available on Alexa?

I’ve been using Amazon music since a long time as we had the ad free option. Now in a few hours, it will end. I had problems with Amazon music but it wasn’t a dealbreaker until now. It’s like ₹99 for prime members to get the best option. But for apple it’s ₹20 more for individual plan and ₹180 for family plan ain’t bad if more than one user uses it. Amazon music has a terrible search engine. Why does it keep recommending me censored songs when I don’t like censoring? A prime example is the song Rollin’ by Limp Bizkit. Yes, I’m a metalhead but it’s weird how if I use playlist search, it gives the version I don’t want. I’ve got to manually find it which I don’t love but fine. Then there’s Alexa. Blimey, it’s terrible to use it. It acts all daft and can’t understand what I’m requesting. Siri ain’t any better but it’s not about Siri. Amazon music makes no sense as it ain’t audiophile level like apple though that’s still worse than Tidal which we don’t have. Apple Music has almost everything Amazon has but better. The equaliser is nice on android for Amazon but for iOS it’s non existent. Amazon is committing suicide but unlike humans, it’s committing due to greedy. Some songs aren’t available on Amazon like ex; curse velvet by Aisagasu Eye Shadow. Actually, the artist is absent. I prefer Amazon to Spotify but neither are good and both are costly af. Apple also is but its value is more. I request Amazon to grasp the consequences of such actions, however I doubt they’ll care. Edit: From 1:03 am IST I just got 8 ads from skipping songs and the shuffle is officially broken like Spotify. I just saw it played Only for the weak 2020 remaster when I never added it and it was the original one I added. It’s just repeating the same songs again which were this time: Needled 24/7, spirit crusher, run to the hills, pursuit of the vikings etc. The ads are long and annoying like Spotify. Edit 2: Just saw some songs are incorrectly named like the song by Xasthur Screaming at forgotten fears. Amazon Music has named it Screaming at forgotten tears which completely manipulates the artistic expression and meaning.

The AI "artist" DVE (I'm sure just random letters) has created thousands of songs listing every major classical composer under the Artist tag on every one of their songs.

Example:

Song Title - Moonlit Silence

Artist tag - "Dve, Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach, Frédéric Chopin, Johann Strauss II, George Frideric Handel, Antonio Vivaldi, Claude Debussy, Camille Saint-Saëns & Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky."

If you ask Alexa to play music by "Johann Sebastian Bach" it will queue up a thousands of songs by DVE that have nothing to do Bach. Since I cannot block the artist DVE my only option is to give a thumbs down to their thousands of individual songs before it will start playing actual music by Bach. DVE is gaming the system and has made Amazon music useless to us.

I have submitted feedback on the APP. In my opinion this is a bug and not a feature...

I have had Amazon's Unlimited Music for quite some time. I was initially drawn to it for its ability to show lyrics on my Show Echoes and presumably better music quality. Over time, I began "liking" songs which the Echo acknowledged. My best guess is I accumulated over 200 songs on the list. Then the problems began:

1. On my older Shows a song name/graphic will appear then not play.

2. On the “Amazon Music Unlimited” site the playlist “My Likes” only shows 17 songs (wtf!)

3. The only way I seem to be able to get at least a partial list (~50) playing is by asking for my “Recently Added”

4. Finally, the piece de resistance, I ask for the lyrics to be shown, and I am told “I do not see anything playing.” Despite the fact music is actually playing.

So, I am pissed. So, as I asked earlier, what am I missing?

I bought a CD from Amazon and I tried to download the MP3 version files of that CD on Amazon Music, but can not locate them on my Z Fold 6 in the My Files app. Can someone help? I want to upload these files to YouTube Music since this CD is not on there.

All I did was tell it to play a song. It can't play a fucking song through Siri?

been thinking about this lately, none of the music apps reward you or have a loyalty program. i have been streaming on amazon music for 2 years now and i dont have a loyalty program...do you think there should have been a cool loyalty program through which i could progress across tiers and benefit from amazon??

Has anyone else experienced this?

When it reaches the last song instead of going silent at the end it just endlessly repeats the track until you press pause or close the app.

It does this with playlists, too. If the last song on my playlist comes up on shuffle, it will just keep repeating that song and not advancing to any other songs on the playlist.

I’ve checked my settings and everything looks normal.

Is anyone in Canada (or anywhere) suddenly getting this error when you try to use Siri to operate Amazon Music?

I can have her pause and play while music is already playing, but I can’t get her to play music on command on my new iPhone 17 Pro Max.

It was all working fine on my 15 Pro Max, and the settings on my Siri/Amazon Music/etc all remain identical.

Weirdly, the same is happening on my husband’s new phone… but his worked for 48 hours before it suddenly didn’t.

Apple is blaming Amazon and Amazon is blaming Apple… of course.

I've been using the service for months and nothing like this has ever happened, from what i searched it's not because of an outage and I've opened and closed the app several times already.

If anybody knows lor has dealt with this similar issue and has info please respond 🙏

When I open my playlists and try to scroll it won’t work. It only reacts like 10 seconds later and it’s impossible to select a song

Hello! I currently pay $13.99 a month for Amazon Music Unlimited. I’ve had this membership for at least 10 years. The price keeps hiking up and it seems I am paying more than others. Am I missing something? The current special is 4 free months, then $11.99/mo. I just chatted with Amazon customer service and they suggested I cancel my Apple subscription and sign up directly with Amazon to get the better price. But that way I’ll lose all of my playlists and lose downloading ability. But I’m a Prime
Member - don’t I get it free of charge ?
