Is it better to send multiple appeals to Amazon quickly, or wait and send one stronger appeal without getting stuck in support loops?

I'm stuck waiting for Amazon

What products are difficult or impossible to return?

I am wonder beisdes underwear what other items simply cannot be returned even if they have not been used? I am just curious because a lot of loss for people who sell on amazon or those who are starting a small business lose a lot of money via returns so I was thinking of maybe starting a side gig where I choose an item that really can't be returned.

I know that sounds odd but this idea just occurred to me out of nowhere. This way I don't need to deal with all the issues that come with returns, I can buy wholesale amounts from bulk sites like amazon and ailbaba and just sit back and what the money roll in. That last part was sarcastic, lol lol lol .

Can Amazon suspend an account even if my Order Defect Rate looks fine without getting stuck in support loops?

Not clear about all the ways I can get suspended for things I don't know I'm not supposed to be doing.

Priced too low and still fullfilled

I sell on amazon so know the fees and prices. I was searching the other day for a chest of draws. Sorted by prime and the 1st one that came up was for 12.99. Expecting it to be for a dolls house or something similar i clicked on it as it looked odd. Nope it was for a full chest of draws, ok 2 of the draws were made of material but the other two from wood and the whole unit was also made from wood, i couldn't buy the draw runners for that price including shipping at the quality they sent let alone add in the fees and postage. They also shipped via DPD which at the price would be close to £9 alone based on the item weight. Am i missing something or is this something dodgy going on?

manufacturer threatens me with false amazon revs

A supplement manufacturer has been completely unethical in 4 of my orders, like trying to make me pay for printing problems caused by their own team/machines two separate times, messing up the formula dosage for a product, and delaying a refund for lost packages during shipment for over 2 months, and I’ve left revs regarding these issues because genuinely nobody should be using a manufacturer like this for their business, and this is what they sent me. Anyone know what I can do about it?

The message, left directly on the Alibaba chat btw:

“Hello, our boss said: "Even after we refund you, you still leave us negative rev. It's like your Amazon store doesn't want to receive negative revs from us. So, if you can promise not to leave any more negative revs, we'll refund you $300. After all..."”

EPR Regs in Europe are killing Pan-EU FBA for UK Sellers

Amazon is now requiring UK or non-EU sellers to engage an EU company to represent them and register in each EU country where products are sold for WEEE, Packaging and Batteries EPR. I am quoted for 2000 euros in Spain alone. Also Amazon forcing Pan-EU sellers to sell product into Netherlands and Belgium, both small markets that for me don't justify the costs of EPR registration. Close to throwing in the towel. Are other seeing the same..

Considering switching but I have a question regarding FBA policy

I'm taking over my dad's camera business and I'm considering switching some of our orders from FBM to FBA.

I understand that with FBA, Amazon handles returns and refunds. But I'm wondering about a specific situation: If an FBA buyer doesn't initiate a return or refund request, but instead privately messages me through Amazon and gave a legitimate reason why they can't return the item and asks if can simply refund them, can as the seller, issue that refund myself?

For eg. I had a situation where a buyer stated their account had an issue (don't wanna say it Incase it's against rules) and asked if I can issue their refund. They provided evidence and was able to. (They are a usual buyer)

I'm not talking about Amazon automatically processing a return, or the buyer opening a refund request.

I mean a voluntary/Goodwill refund that choose to give the buyer.

With FBM, I can obviously make that decision myself.

I'm getting conflicting answers from Amazon Seller Support about whether can do the same with FBA. Has anyone actually dealt with this situation on FBA and can confirm whether the seller can independently issue the refund?

Also what subscription would you recommend ? The business makes £5,000 ish profit per month

Do you need to be VAT registered to use FBA? UK

Hello everyone.

I’m currently voluntary VAT registered on the Flat Rate Scheme. As my turnover is below the HMRC threshold (I think it’s £90,000 now?) I don’t need to be. However, I use FBA for my orders and was wondering if I need to remain VAT registered to continue using FBA and continue selling.

I have contacted support about this but have been told different answers, and there are similar questions and answers in the Seller Forum.

Anyone that knows or are in a similar situation I’d appreciate your answers.

My business is based in the UK and I only sell within the UK.

Many Thanks!

Amazon keeps rejecting my invoice for Brand Approval — what exactly am I missing?

Amazon has rejected my invoice multiple times while trying to get approval to sell under my own brand.
My supplier is a legitimate Alibaba manufacturer, the invoice contains their information, my business information, product details, quantities, pricing, invoice number/date, etc. My brand is also printed on the product packaging.
For anyone who has successfully gotten Brand Approval:
What exactly does Amazon look for on the invoice, and what are the most common reasons they keep rejecting legitimate invoices?
If you used an Alibaba/Chinese manufacturer and got approved, I’d especially appreciate hearing what finally worked for you.

I hate how EXPENSIVE SHIPPING THROUGH Amazon is NOW!

I hate how much being a seller on Amazon sucks now. I mean I have an order for an item that weighs 4 oz. and the dimensions are that a small envelop can contain the packaging. The destination is from Ohio to Louisiana and the cheapest cost is FEDEX NOT USPS for $6.89!! USPS ground is $7.69 for this small item? WTF is going on here man?

Forget about how shipping costs have doubled they have FKN quadrupled!

I started doing this in 2017 and to ship out a videogame used to be like $2.65, I remember that very well.

At this point I think Amazon knows how most people will keep doing sh*t if its convenient even if its more expensive. I should look into alternative shipping costs because this is repulsive.

If you are selling an item for lets say $5.00...guess what you are going to be losing money from a sale. That's great right get online to sell something and your going negative after shipping is taken care of ON TOP OF THAT they have the audacity to want faster times on shipping. It used to be like 2 and a half days. Now if its past 18 hours you'll get a late metric warning.

This whole experience has lost all plot.

Updated titles & highlights hurting sales… huge drop

Anyone else update their titles with the new 75 character / 125 character highlight limit and see a significant sales drop? Even using the same keywords. Guessing our competitors haven’t updated yet. Maybe algorithm changes. 35% drop in sales is bad.

Product listed, inventory available, link works, but not on Amazon search?

I sent my product in June 22. It now lists 57 out of 248 available, with the remaining in FC transfer.

I can click on and share the product link, and it shows the item available for sale and to add to cart. But if you search the exact title (its long and unique) in amazon, or the brand, or anything related to it and click through multipe pages, it does not appear.

Inventory has been available for close to a week. No errors flagged on the product or anything. What gives?

Guidance on Selling 1000 Items - 20 to 30 SKUs (Auto Parts)

I have two full pallets of replacement OE auto parts, mostly ball joints, swaybar endlinks, etc for reasonably high-volume vehicles (Toyota Truck / SUVs, Jeeps, F150s, etc). It's predominantly a single brand, US-owned, foreign-manufactured.

What seems to make the most sense to clear out this inventory?

Start a seller account and just list the items? Send the pallets to Amazon as LTL freight and let them sort, warehouse, and fulfill orders?

Any pitfalls to avoid here?

For clarity, I only intend to sell off this inventory as a one-time gig since I acquired it in a bulk clearance. Not looking to make every last dime, the goal here is to clear out the stock at a reasonable pace and price point.

Is it more hassle than it's worth to setup an account and onboard this one time inventory?

Are there well-vetted services that would sell on my behalf? ... or some sort of agreeable solution?

Need Advice on Compliance/Regulatory Issues

For my sellers selling compliance-heavy products: Toys, Health products, etc. Looking for some advice.

Two questions:

  • Did you get any warning before it hit, or was the listing just down?
  • Once you got flagged, what actually fixed it? Resubmitting docs, editing the listing, appealing, or something else?

Or overall, what's your methodology for ensuring AHR doesn't get impacted?
