First House excited but starting from scratch

Hello everyone. I know, first-world problems, I guess, but I’m starting completely from scratch on my first house- I was in foster care and saved every dollar and stayed with friends to make it happen! Well, I’m finally here, and I put some things on the list that I believe would help it start to feel like a home. I appreciate anyone who helps, and I couldn't thank anyone enough. I had a rough start, but I’m so excited to start this journey

PLEASE READ!!! Anything helps

Hello. I’m F/18 (so please bare with me and be respectful)
I never thought it would become so bad and already start so bad. we had brought my rescue kitty home who had a good case of fleas and which now has lead to this.
(Picture is my adult cat) however my adult cat is the one suffering more. Vets are no help even with my financial situation, trust me I do make sure they have litter and food and water always. I will never not have money for that.
Flea medicine and all this stuff is so expensive. $30+
The vets are also 2+ hours away and are no help and say to call other vets which leads me here. Stuck. Helpless. Hopeless. Disappointed in myself.
My boyfriend works crazy hours and by the time he’s off it’s the time the vet is already closed so it’s hard. Money situation is hard for BOTH cats especially.
I do not want to come on ANY platform and ask for money id rather if anyone could, they buy my Amazon wishlist with flea treatments and shampoo. I took up recommendations and added them to a cart. If you can’t help, any tips? At home remedies? Anything? I’m desperate and will take anything I can for my fur babies.
I’m disappointed someone’s lies about fleas turned into this, especially it becoming so bad in the matter of 2 weeks. But, she was in horrible conditions and I just wanted her out of there. PLEASE DO NOT BE MEAN AND NASTY IM DOING MY BEST AND I HAVE NO ONE TO GO TO ABOUT THIS ATM. 🙏❤️ https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1B4IFD1F3WL1P?ref\_=wl\_share

Sinus Surgery in 3 weeks, I’m on disability and struggling financially right now (more info in actual post)

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3APRSVCTKTUJT?ref\_=wl\_share

I’m (27F) reaching out in the hopes that someone(s) can help fulfill my Amazon wishlist- it contains all the items recommended for my upcoming sinus surgery prep/ stuff needed for recovery (everything from medical supplies to shelf stable/easy to make foods to things like ice packs for comfort), I also included a few of my monthly medical necessities not covered by insurance that I couldn’t get myself this month (tegaderm, CGM overpatches, insulin pump over patches, and my daily supplements).

My surgery is scheduled for August 28th (roughly 3 weeks away). I have already shared my list with friends and family via FB, but it’s been up for several weeks now and barely made any traction; only a few people reached out to me and most were to say they sympathize but cannot help (which I fully understand times are tough for everyone 💛). I know two people bought a few items, and I ended up buying some items from the list myself but now I’m fully out of money until next month/after surgery.

The following is going to be quite a long read, but I feel it’s necessary to explain why I need the help and that I’m not just trying to get free stuff for fun. And if there’s any details I don’t cover and you want to know, please feel free to ask me (obviously with safety, and the sub rules in mind)!

I have been chronically ill for most of my life, but back in 2024 I was placed on disability; it is expected to be for life, and something I'm still kind of wrapping my head around and trying to make sense of. I was far into my MSW program when it happened and my life essentially changed overnight from being a grad student with a future in my dream job to figuring out how to live my life without really having an active one anymore and just getting through it all (my body gave up a lot sooner than my brain was able to accept, and some days I still struggle with it).

It also left me with a crippling amount of student loan debt that just keeps growing (federal was forgiven, Sallie Mae denied me their form of TPD). All of this also forced me to move back in with an unhappy/unwelcoming family member a few years back, but the loan debt and my housing are entirely different issues for another time.

I'm a Type 1 Diabetic and have been since I was 3, but I also have a plethora of other chronic conditions that have followed over the years; 10+ diagnosed including Hypothyroidism, PCOS/PMOS, Gastroparesis, IBS, Chronic Pain & Fatigue, and more- I also have a few mystery illnesses but I'm not even counting those ones right now because who knows what they are.

Most recently, in January 2026 I had a total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingectomy due to a combo attack of several of my diagnosed conditions and their complications- this is a decision I have no regrets over, but nonetheless it was a major surgery that put a lot of strain on my body, my brain, and of course my wallet; and definitely wasn't something I thought l'd be doing in my 20's. But I managed to take care of myself and my cats alone after that surgery so that gives me the reassurance I can definitely handle sinus recovery alone too!

Without getting into extreme details of my disability, I am on a fixed income of less than $680 a month via the SSA- I receive no other income/ benefits (other than health insurance via Medicare and Medicaid) and I don't have any savings (even if I did have savings I get capped at below $2k or I lose Medicaid- spoiler alert, I can't afford to keep living if I lose Medicaid). I have applied for SNAP as well but I’m still awaiting my interview.

2ish weeks ago I had to take my cat to the emergency vet twice-he came home with a strict med and monitoring schedule that we only finished yesterday. I am so thankful for the ER vet team and that they were able to help my fur baby, but it caused my bank account to go almost $200 overdraft (bill was almost $400). Luckily for me my August disability direct deposit came through before my account was frozen, and it covered the overdraft and fees. Unluckily, that left me with less than $480 for this entire month.

I was able to afford most of my medical necessities(the ones not covered by insurance), my cats necessities, and used the little I had leftover to buy some of the stuff off my Amazon list I knew I couldn’t have surgery without. Now I’m at $0, and honestly I’ve been in this predicament before and managed with no money for almost a month- but never when I’ve had surgery scheduled/ needed to still buy necessities.

My 3 cats are my absolute world and I would do anything for them. I have no regrets over getting my cat the medical care he needed, all of the monthly cat expenses, or literally anything for/to do with them. They are my “babies” and they’ve been with me since long before disability took over my life; I can honestly say if it weren’t for them I wouldn’t be alive anymore- and as much as I can’t fathom a life without them if their needs are ever not being met by me I will re-home them (hoping it never comes to that though); their needs will always outweigh my wants.

Finally, I’m the least tech savvy person I know so if there’s any issues with the list/ the link please let me know!

Thank you to anyone who read all of this, and another thank you to anyone who can help me out!
