Who would you consider as napoleon’s greatest rival thoughout the napoleonic wars?

Do you think it’s Karl Philipp Prince of Schwarzenberg, Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher, Pyotr Bagration, Barclay de Tolly, Mikhail Kutuzov,
Arthur Wellesley?

Or maybe someone different?

Let me hear what you think down in the comments

Tell me what what you’re favorite anecdote or fun fact from the napoleonic wars is

Mine is when during napoleons expedition in Egypt he brought along a team of scientists and Egyptologists and one thing they discovered was the “Rosetta Stone” a stone slab that had roman, ancient Greek and ancient Egyptian writing chiseled onto the stone and soon scientists were able to decipher the Egyptian hieroglyphs by using the Roman and Greek writings on the stone and for the first time in modern history scientists were able to read ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and it greatly expanded the field of Egyptology and our understanding of ancient Egypt.

Is North Korea basically a monarchy at this point?

I have been thinking about this recently and would like to know people’s thoughts on this.

North Korea touts its a a democratic republic state but its leaders have only been of the Kim family and when Kim jong un dies the leadership will go to his daughter from what I heard. So wouldn’t it make North Korea a pseudo monarchy state?

Could there have been any other options besides the continental system?

Reading the effectiveness of napoleon’s continental system it is apparent that it did indeed fail to bring about economic collapse to Great Britain and bring about an end to the war.

But my question is what options could napoleon have taken aside from his continental blockade?

Because after the battle of trafalgar that ended napoleons goal to invade England for the foreseeable future. He did have a large fleet at Brest but that was being blocked by the channel fleet and other scattered squadrons of ships.

He did try to rebuild the French fleet’s but that would have taken a few years at least to try effectively counter the royal navy.

I just not sure what else he really could have done other than the continental system ineffective as it was.

Let me hear what you think down below
