I was born and brought up in Mumbai, but my native place is a small village in the Amravati district. I visited Amravati recently for the first time after the lockdown, and still trying to process what I saw I just can’t believe how overwhelmingly 'Hindified' the city has become due to the financial heavy presence of Marwaris and Sindhis here. Even for something as basic as a plot deal, every single broker you meet turns out to be Non-Marathi. It’s not just trade even doctors, shopkeepers, service providers it feels like every sphere of life here has been taken over.

This was once known as the land of Patils and Deshmukhs, even I found myself speaking in Hindi nearly 60% of the time while moving around the city...

My dad had applied for a 2 lakh rupees loan from SBI for building our house around 2003-04

The loan was not getting approved on a single applicant hence dad had to ask my Uncle to join in and sign the docs.

After the loan was approved and disbursed, my dad built the house slowly. Mind you my uncle didn't have a penny of his into his house. Because this was NOT supposed to be his house in the first place.

Now fast forward 20 years back, that house is worth 55-60 lacs and the Unc wants his 50% share.

What is the best way to approach this without causing any hassle and without giving up 50% of what my father built with his blood and sweat.
