Is Disneyland doable on a really strict budget without a car?

Has anyone here done Disneyland on a pretty strict budget while relying entirely on public transportation and Uber/Lyft? I’m coming from the High Desert and I don’t drive or have a license, so renting a car isn’t an option for me. I’m trying to figure out whether a Disneyland trip is realistically doable without spending a fortune, especially when you factor in getting from the High Desert to Anaheim and then getting around once I’m there. I’d obviously be looking at the cheapest reasonable hotel, bringing food/snacks where possible, using public transportation whenever I can, and saving Uber/Lyft for situations where public transit isn’t practical. I’m not looking for a luxury trip at all—I’d be perfectly happy keeping things simple if it means making the trip affordable. For anyone who has done Disneyland without a car, how did you budget it and what expenses should I be prepared for that I might not be thinking about?

Are there any affordable gyms in Anaheim?

I found one but it’s in Fullerton so I was wondering if there’s any more affordable options.

Looking for beach recommendations

My fiancé and I will be visiting Disneyland next week, and also want to visit a nearby beach. Does anyone have a recommendation for a family friendly, safe beach? And does the access to the beaches close at sunset?

Any good full nude strip clubs here?

Going to be visiting for an upcoming birthday and I'd like to hit up a good strip club here. Since I don't drink, I was wondering if there were any good full nude clubs in the area. I live in North Cal and we have a few.

villains brewing co is basically running a haunted house out of a pool right now

been going to these and wanted to put them on your radar before they wrap. Villains Brewing Co has been running a themed pool party every week this month, each one with its own concept, drink specials, and decor. so far it's gone tiki goth, then hot ghoul summer. three left:

8/16: Shark Attack Pt. 2
8/23: I Know What You Did Last Emo Summer
8/30: Spooky Island (the finale)

tickets have been $16 and selling out, so grab one soon if you're going. check out Villains Brewing Co's instagram for more info.

anyone been to one yet? curious which theme was the best so far.

Best place to watch manchester united games

just wondering if there's a place that opens super early to watch premiere league games. There's one on 8/22 between Manchester united vs Hull but it's like at 4:30 am. I know some pubs that opens early but they're all in LA.

My kid clogged the toilet and flooded the house while we were at work. Need advice on water damage restoration in anaheim

If you need a reason to hold off on kids for a bit let me be a warning. My 3 yr old decided his grave digger needed to get his scuba certification in our toilet. Nana then took him out to a very fun day at disney, unaware that the water level was rising in our craftsman we JUST bought last april and renovated (sob). I STAT need recommendations for a water damage restoration expert. I trust NO ad so I need some of my fellow anaheimers to weigh in here. On the one hand the big dogs like Roto Rooter seem to have a pretty clear cut plan of attack, but on the other I see local plumbers with decent reviews, though most are incredibly mixed. I have tried to get some of the water out myself with a floatable sump but it is not going well. Any advice?

Is it feasable to take an Uber / Lyft from Anaheim to Los Angeles near midnight after a show in Honda Center?

I'm a tourist and will be attending several show at Honda Center some weeks from now. I know the prices might be high because of the high demand after a show in that venue, but I´m more worried about the availability of the service.

Is it feasable to plan on taking an Uber / Lyft after the shows?

The 'Anaheim Angels' bill sails through the California legislature

https://www.latimes.com/sports/angels/story/2026-08-11/anaheim-angels-bill-sails-through-california-legislature

Love what this could potentially mean. Would love to see how Dodger bandwagons in OC will react, seeing as they’ll be forced to admit that they willingly support an out-of-market team that has hurt Hispanic communities, instead of saying “it’s between two LA teams.”

Midsummer Scream 2027

The Anaheim Convention Center will be the location for the 2027 Midsummer Scream, which has been held in Long Beach since it began.

The show has gotten so big over the past 10 years, a new home was definitely needed.

I know I'll be there.

Will you ?

Anaheim's best local businesses: did votes get it right?

did you know we launched a program called locally loved, where the community nominates and votes for their favorite spots across the city?

well the results are in, and anaheim just crowned its first ever locally loved award winners

fourteen categories spanning food, entertainment, and culture, and the coolest part is every nomination and vote came straight from oc residents and regular visitors, basically the people who actually know this city best

here's who took the crown:

best breakfast joint: lola's by mfk
the ultimate taco spot: tacos los cholos
top rated coffee nest: sunbliss cafe
sweet tooth champion: joe's italian ice
top deli and bakery: cortina's italian market
best craft brewery: brewery x
the go to date night spot: the ranch restaurant and saloon
little saigon favorite: brodard chateau
little arabia favorite: sababa falafel shop
hidden gem of the year: smoke queen bbq
the best creative pulse: muzeo museum and cultural center
best entertainment venue: honda center
best sporting activity: anaheim ducks
best family friendly hangout: camelot golfland

curious if it matches your picks
