Flock ALPR geolocation
Hi there, ya filthy animals. I noticed my neighbors have a beheaded Flock camera hanging in their garage almost like it's a trophy animal. (Maybe it is to some...)
Just wondering. Is there any chatter on the street indicating these things may have geolocating services? Wondering if my neighbor is courting a knock at the door from a costumed with a badge and a warrant.
To clarify:
I did not witness a crime occurring, do not endorse breaking laws, and for all I know he's an employee/instal tech for Flock. Just asking questions, of course. I'm sure you all understand.
One year ago the US government had investments in zero private companies, now it's at 30.

I have a genuine serious question I would like to know about
How does Ancap prevent a classic dictatorship from emerging.
By this I mean someone like a private defense company or two stockpiling a great volume of weapons, training soliders, enticing other military and contract enforcement companies with plans of conquest and fortunes and then walking all over everyone in the region and taking their resources by force to enslave them and distribute the profits among the co-conspirators.
This is a pattern that has been very common throughout history so I'm curious how ancap would deal with thjs
An anarcho-communist… paying respect to a dictator.
How do you not have toxic food and polluted nature which harms humans without government regulations?
Ancaps always say the "invisible hand" will take care of any problems they are presented with but w/o any regulations its clear that companies will use cheaper ingredients and loosen up/scrap quality control. The clearest and most recent example i can think of is the FDA under trump loosening regulations and listeria outbreaks because of it. Another that comes to mind is the mad cow disease that happened in the 90s. And without even thinking about how the market will react, if there is no investigative body to search the source of it, and the fact that it takes years for it to show any symptoms, how can anyone find out where exactly they got the disease and not spend their money there, thus making that business bankrupt? The nature part is even simpler because we are seeing climate change happening in front of our very eyes. And the people arent voting with their wallets to not buy from companies polluting the planet even tho we know that climate change caused by pollution will very soon end human life on earth. And we know that companies have no problem with polluting the planet. TL;DR
A-How can people know who is selling toxic food when there is not an investigative body to find out the source
B-How can the invisible hand(which is the free market, made of people) protect nature we absolutely need, when it isnt part of the invisible hand?
Sorry I know leftist mucho texto meme but I wanna get this off my chest
Abandoned baby problem in anarcho-capitalism
An interesting problem for anarcho-capitalism: imagine a baby is abandoned and has no parents, money, or ability to participate in contracts.
A charity could take care of it, but what if the charity is underfunded because not enough people voluntarily donate?
A government can solve this by taxing everyone and guaranteeing that the child is cared for. But in a truly anarcho-capitalist society, there is no government with the authority to impose such a tax.
So what happens if nobody voluntarily wants to pay for the child's care?
Is there a market-based solution I'm missing, or does this expose a fundamental limitation of a completely voluntary society?

US states call for big changes to Instagram and Facebook as Meta child privacy trial begins
I don't like Meta for various reasons, but I genuinely hope they end up winning all of this. Those mad people want for like counts, stories and the creation of multiple accounts to be removed... Does anyone realize how much harmful the latter would be? Genuinely, the ability to create multiple accounts represents a huge way of keeping things neat and organized, aside from the fact that it represents a psychological mechanism of introspection and identity exploration and I'm being as serious as I can. Because if Meta loses this, other social platforms could be next too!
And yes, I hope is obvious that this matter is relevant to this subreddit.

This is all while greatly increasing the size of federal government, especially the military.
