looks like a nipple, but i promise its not (it’s on her back). it doesn’t seem like she’s in pain
Recording taken around midnight.

I also heard the same sound last night around 4 am. Started off as strange barking, but didn't recognize the bark. Then it turned into that strange scream like sound in the recording.
I think its a fox because I keep smelling what smells faintly like skunk
Also, I live in the suburbs, but they are some fields near my house.
And I think its been yelling all night cause its 5 am and I'm here like a short howl like sound?
My cat Arthur, named after Arthur Morgan ofc. Is a very active, crazy, talkative, playful, happy boy.
He’s likely 3ish years old now so still very young and weighs maybe 10 or a little more lbs.
He’s been eating regularly, drinking his usual amount of water, regular bathroom usage and movements, wet nose. Seemingly, to me, normal.
What we have noticed recently is he is coughing, breathing, wheezing rapidly for maybe 20secs to a full minute. I don’t know if it’s asthma or if there’s possibly something much worse. I tried looking on tiktok and the internet to try to find a similar sound and I haven’t. I’m gonna try to attach the videos here.
First being a wheezing/coughing fit a little bit ago today. Second is going to be just a video of his breathing to see if it looks normal or too fast. I can’t really tell.

What's that sound? Not the bird or the frogs or crickets. There's also a low almost growl in there if you listen close
This is in North Carolina
It sounds like a screeching
I thought it was an owl at first so I whipped out my bird app to record. Baby crying noises started after. Then more moaning and screaming.
Hey,
I live near London and this lil guy/girl is screaming its head off, is it ok? More to the point, what is it?!
A couple weeks ago like all day I'd frequently hear this sound, Northern Wisconsin
Hello all! First time poster here and i’m also posting on behalf of my dear mom. She lives in western central Indiana in the middle of nowhere, in the woods. Yesterday evening she kept hearing really strange sounds and cries but they were really far away and didn’t pick up well on a recording. Well this morning she went out to water her garden and the sounds came back, this time MUCH louder and MUCH closer.
Any help trying to figure out WHAT in the world could possibly be making these sounds would be appreciated. Thank you all so much!
EDIT: It was kids with a speaker and a microphone 🤦♀️ They were caught red handed. So much for that mystery! Thanks again everyone lol 😭
I don’t even know what this creature is but please help me Id it. I was thinking of a wild cat
Cows go moo sheep go baa etc why are humans one of the only mamals to have long sentences and conversations (besides consciousness or that). Like birds have long songs or calls but I can’t think of any other mammal that does?
Was out at newton reservoir in northern Utah. Walking on the bank, and in a little bundle of trees kept hearing this hissing sound (which is made louder in the video) and then randomly heard this screech like the souls of the damned. To my knowledge animals around here include very occasional moose, bunch of different random birds, great horned owls, maybe barn owls, deer, coyotes, badgers, and just general plains species. What is this?
The first “who” sound is me but what is the animal/bird that makes the sound after? Grande cache, Alberta Canada
Been hearing them for couple of days now
Does anybody know what this could be? This is from northern michigan around 4am. Sounds like a baby crying at the beginning then stsrted making a weird creaking/screeching sound.
Hearing this chirping creature (assumed a bird, but Merlin will not ID the sound) in our yard, repeating this phrase loudly each night.
I've been comparing it against lists of native wildlife, frog sounds, cricket sounds, bird sounds. We have a lot of racoons and possums in our yard but this ain't them.
