Is the anime course at IACG Hyderabad actually worth it?

I have too many doubts about their j anime grad and especially j anime pro program, whether it's a master's degree or not, also have doubt about the faculty, their website shows 3 Japanese mentors but I can't get any information about them on Google or My Anime List, also... Isn't Animators salary in Japan dependant on a per cut basis instead of a fixed annual salary? (Only exception being KyoAni)... So how are they offering a fixed salary range?

Anyways if anyone has enrolled there, please share your experience? Is it actually worthwhile?

MADE DEVIL FRUITS REAL 🔥

Been a One Piece fan for years, got way too into Luffy and Ace’s devil fruits and ended up teaching myself just to make them real. This is honestly the proudest I’ve been of something I’ve made — the swirl pattern on the Gomu Gomu took forever to get right.

What do you think?

Which anime to watch next as a newbie?

I watched deathnote, demon slayer and spyxfamily till now. Jujutsu kaisen too but it was confusing.

Which anime would you recommend which kinda match the vibe of spyxfamily

Forget new powers. Which character desperately needs a better outfit?

Not a new form.

Not a power-up.

Just a genuinely good alternate outfit.

Something that would make you look at the character and think:

"Why have they never done this?"

It could be formalwear.

A modern streetwear version.

A historical outfit.

Something inspired by another universe.

Or just an outfit that fits their personality better than the usual one.

I've always found these kinds of fan concepts more interesting than simply making a stronger version of a character.

If you could redesign ONE character's outfit, who are you choosing-and what are you putting them in?

Do you collect characters, or do you collect the worlds they come from?

I've been thinking about this lately.

Some people seem to collect almost entirely around characters.

They'll buy a figure because they love that specific character, regardless of the series.

Others seem to collect around a world.

They want the whole Naruto lineup.

A complete Marvel display.

Characters from the same game.

A specific era of a franchise.

And then there are people who seem to have absolutely no system whatsoever. 😂

One anime figure.

One superhero.

One random game character.

And somehow it all works together.

I've never been sure which approach I prefer.

What's the rule, if any, that decides whether something joins your collection?

Finally they kissed! 🫶🏼

Been watching "love unseen beneath the clear night sky" recently. I was expecting another typical rom/slice of life type anime but to my surprise i actually liked 👍🏼. I dont remember how much time has it been since i watch a slow paced anime which stirred the emotions in me 😭 where romance is a part of anime and not other way around. What do you guys think? Have you watched it yet?

I wasn’t ready for how bleak Devilman Crybaby got, but it might be one of the truest superhero stories ever told

Man, I knew it was gonna happen, but I still wasn’t ready for it. The series delivers these bleak moments perfectly. Miki’s last thoughts being about passing the baton to Akira, almost passing her hope onto him like Mikiko did to her, was heartbreaking. But she wasn’t able to survive, and Akira’s reaction to all of that was even more heartbreaking.
The moments really hurt because we see their relationship build throughout the show so nicely. Akira is there for Miki, and Miki reaches out to him when he’s confused and bottling up his feelings and instincts. And the scene where Miki learns about his true identity is peak.
This series starts out as pretty over-the-top and might even seem goofy at first, but it gets really dark in the middle and especially toward the end. Though the scene where people hug Devilman, along with Akira’s compassion and Miki’s will to never give up on people, makes this one of the truest superhero stories in my opinion. That’s what superheroes are about: inspiring other people to do good through their unyielding compassion and love. That’s also what makes Akira strong.

Earlier, I thought him crying that much for others was kinda goofy, but now I realize he is basically the kindest person in the cruelest world, which is way more superhero-like than I admitted back then.

Episode 10, with all the Devilmen coming together, was also very much like a classic superhero story. And damn, you can’t just leave me hanging like that. RIP Akira and all the Devilmen who tried to save humanity.
And fuck Ryo for being so selfish. Akira always tried to pass the baton to him, but he never understood until Akira was gone. Only then did he realize that he loved him.
“I didn’t understand what you meant back then.”
Yeah, dude. What does that understanding do now that Akira is gone?

Akira showed kindness to Ryo when he was alone and scared. That’s what a lot of folks feel at times, but we can be kind to them and maybe even help them. That’s what I feel Akira was trying to tell Ryo: “You are human too.” So you should understand their feelings.

Go Nagai was writing this stuff in the ’70s. The tropes seen here weren’t taken from others; others took them from Devilman. Devilman inspired works like Evangelion, Berserk, and Chainsaw Man. The concept of a devil merging with a human to create a new being, as seen in Chainsaw Man, is one of its most recognizable influences.

The last time I saw someone’s tits transform into monsters with mouths was in Apocalypse Zero, and that came out after Devilman. Still pretty solid, though more of a standard action manga.
😭😭😭😭

Kindness can and will exist in the cruelest of worlds, and the world may even destroy the people embodying it, but that doesn’t make it worthless.
Though I’m happy there’s the 1972 anime universe where Devilman is just a very devoted superhero boyfriend with a pretty standard superhero life. Gonna rewatch that after this shit broke me. 😭

Forget the most valuable figure you own. Which one would actually hurt to lose?

Not necessarily your most expensive one.

Not necessarily the rarest.

And not even necessarily your favorite character.

Imagine you had to move tomorrow and could only take one collectible with you.

What would you choose?

I'm curious whether people would pick based on:

  • Sentimental value
  • How hard it was to find
  • The character itself
  • Who gave it to you
  • A memory attached to it
  • Or simply because it's the one piece you'd genuinely miss seeing every day

I think this would reveal a lot about why people collect in the first place.

What makes that one piece impossible to replace?

Be honest: do you actually keep all your figure boxes?

I've reached the point where the figures aren't the problem anymore.

The boxes are. 😭

At first, keeping the original packaging makes perfect sense.

Then you get another figure.

And another.

And suddenly there's a stack of boxes taking up space that could probably fit an entire second collection.

But throwing them away feels wrong too.

Especially when the packaging is genuinely well designed.

So I'm curious how other collectors handle this:

Do you keep every box, flatten them, store only the expensive figures' packaging, or just accept that you're now living with a cardboard warehouse?

And if you've actually found a good way to store them without sacrificing half your room, I'd genuinely like to know.
