Hey I forgot to get a badge for Saturday cus I didn’t have the money at the time and they’re sold out now. I know some people sell badges in front of the javitts but idk if these can be trusted / if it’s not worth the hassle / if they price gouge too much ?

Hi all, I'll be attending Anime NYC with my 14 year old daughter who is a huge PJSK fan, we are only going on Saturday for the PJSK panel. We've never attended a con before, what is the process like when it coms to panels? Are they free? Do they require preregistration? Is there a best practice when it comes to attending panels? Any help you can provide will be so appreciated. TYIA!

Hello critters 😭 I’m Jay I’m 21 and I’ll be attending animeNYC for the first time ever and I’d prefer to experience it with some cool people. My friends aren’t anime fans so they decided to sit this one out. And hey this could be an opportunity for me to meet people outside of my friend group that like anime which would be really nice! My interests consists off movies I love moviesss (amc a list subscriber here so I’m practically royalty lol), I love comics/superheroes, my fav animes are Naruto, MHA, Fairy tail, AOT, there’s def more but I can’t remember them all 😭 and I have more interests so don’t be afraid to reach out if anyone wants to attend together!
I bought my badges in January.
And I always kept looking out for them thinking this year they took way too long to ship them. And I search my inbox and see in spam they were mailed in April and marked delivered but I never received anything. And now I want to kick myself in the face because in all my years of going to the con like since the first year it started, this has never happened to me.
For reasons, I am unable to download the anime nyc app. How much is it going to hinder my experience?
I looked at the schedule and already wrote down the times and places for all the panels and meetups I want to go to, and I don’t plan on getting any autographs. Does the app help with anything else that I’d be missing out on?

I’m going Friday and maybe Sunday and I’m kinda nervous mostly because I’ll have to be in cosplay on a train 😭. However the prices are quite high at the moment and we were wondering if anyone were open to roomshare. :D I think the official ANYC discord doesn't allow a roomshare discussion for some reason, so does anyone know a discord server that has ANYC roomshare forum?
Hi everyone, feels like I just got back from AX and already prepping for ANYC. AX had lines out the ass but for the things I wanted, lines were bearable and the entrance line was extremely fast. The artist alley was next to impossible to move through and there were line caps for some artists but thankfully not the ones I was looking for, just to give context. So, a similar question for ANYC:
I’m planning to go around opening on Thursday and sweep artist alley in its entirety before enjoying other things on Saturday, when I know it’ll be busier. How early should I be arriving at Javits to get in on Thursday? What should I expect out of walking around artist alley traffic-wise?

Hello this is my first time going to anime NYC and a big anime con. I went to galaxy con in Richmond before and that was the biggest thing I went to. As a frost timer of a big anime con what to expect. I'm sure I should expect lots of people. But what about anything else I plan to get autographs from 2 people do I need to bring things for them to sign or no? Um and I also don't know what's a good hotel around the con. I don't live near NYC. About a 4 hour drive. But I don't wanna drive in NYC since that's its own adventure. Um also I plan to cosplay and I know my cosplay is appropriate for it. But what about how do other people who cosplayed in NYC before do they get harassed. That's a big thing I'm scared of is people on the street harassing me. But any advice will be helpful thank you. Also sorry for any mistakes English isn't my first language so I'm sure there will be mistakes.
I’m curious what other people think, but I was honestly very disappointed when skimming the list of exhibitors for this event and not seeing many new corporate booths and even a cut back of exhibitors I’ve seen here before like Toei, Konami, Neowiz, etc… When you compare this lineup to AX, it’s just night and day. I think next year going to save some more cash and just splurge to go to AX instead.
