Shopee Japanese store apology voucher

I am really surprised today na nakatanggap ako ng 4k pesos worth of store voucher from a Japanese seller dahil opened box ung nabili kong item sa kanila compared to their description na unopened siya.

Context:

Recently purchased an Anime figure worth 4.2k sa store na to, asked if it is brand new sa seller, confirmed it is unused pero nung dumating opened box na siya pero mint looking pa din and mukhang binuksan lang at di nadisplay.

I ended up giving them 3 stars sa review including ung reason why, they ended up messaging me a day after asking if I would accept partial refund. (Based daw sa internal investigation nila, ung nasend saken is ung opened box instead of the sealed one, so dun sa mga may balak ifake review bomb sila for vouchers, pls stop)

Di naman siya sobrang big deal saken kaya ang sabi ko, store voucher will do instead of refund, di ko naman ineexpect na bibigyan ako ng almost full refund as a store voucher.

I am expecting only a 500 pesos voucher max, not 4000 pesos.

Note: I ended up updating my 3 star to a 5 star review.

Watched Gundam Hathaway’s Flash (part 1) in Philippine cinema. Kinda wierd that this movie is set in Davao but no screenings in SM Davao.

A PSA to PH Players Gongcha X Genshin Collab has started

Its until July 19 but so far for every purchase of a large drink you get a card that if claimed gives you 40 primo(1 per account) and the chains are Gacha as in you get a bag and when you open it its 50/50 of as theres 3 ineefa and 3 Aino i bought one the other drink for my relative who likes genshin but he already quit so the first to claim the code in the last page is yours since ive used mine and it only works once per account (not sure if its region lock as in you need a Asia acc for code to work but try it nonetheless)

MNL 48 To Cease Operations by End of May

Pearl of the Orient Seas INC. announced through MNL 48's Social Media account that the group would cease all operations by the end of May.

They thanked fans and long time supporters of the franchise and reasoned that their decision was deemed a best course of action coming from their internal situation.

MNL 48 ( Manila 48) which serves as the Philippine Equivalent to Japanese Idol group AKB 48 (Akihabara 48) was founded in 2018. The group made noise on social media with their 2018 song "Pag-Ibig Fortune Cookie" making a resurgence in late 2025.

Goodbye MNL48

It is surprising na nagtagal pa sila hanggang 2026 eh bago pa nagpandemic hindi na maingay pangalan ng group nila. After the first generation it already flopped to be honest. Hindi talaga fit for PH consumption ang group nila tsaka a group with too many members will not work in PH. Paano makikilala eh ang dami dami nila? Malamang may magiging sikat na member than the others. Mas maganda pa for PH consumption groups like BINI kasi madali lang sauluhin ang members.

I'm only finding out now that Season 2 of JJK has finally started on GMA.

The past couple of years, there were only countless reruns of Season 1 and occasional airings of Jujutsu Kaisen 0.

And it definitely seems like they will go through with airing the entirety of the season from Hidden Inventory/Premature Death to Shibuya Incident although I'm expecting some deductions from the episodes to make room for commercials since GMA will always be GMA, on top of censoring scenes with blood and probably a good chunk of the brutal violence considering the timeslot it was placed in. So we GMA traumatize us with a Tagalog-dubbed scene of >!Nanami getting blown-up to bits?!<

I'm curious now though if we're getting a Sukuna recast (RIP Jeff Utanes)

So what does the current PH generation of anime watchers think of mecha anime?

Just turned 18 and in that whole 18 years that I've been alive I have never met a single person near my age who enjoys mecha anime. Is the genre too daunting to begin? Too old of a genre? Or are giant robots just not cool for y'all?

[KUHAKU ASKS] Does Metro Manila have too much events

With a growing industry, you can expect multiple major conventions happening at the same time?

Do you think that Metro Manila has too much events than other places in the country?

Ano Kaya Ang Unang Anime Merch Na Bibilhin Niyo Pag Bukas Na?

Photo source: @animate_Manila on Twitter.

Relationships as an otaku

Professionals said that one needs to go more outside and meet people. But how we supposed to do it with this hurddles?

  • Boo Ph is not effective with dating. Also subsription fees for dating apps is not worth it.
  • Unlike in US where they have speed dating, local Anime/Cosplay/Gaming Conventions are not places for dating according to con goers. Aside from minors attending to have fun.
  • Otaku culture is still frowned by normies
