In Honor Of The Late Show - Here’s St. Vincet "Live On Letterman" at the Ed Sullivan Theater

With the Ed Sullivan Theater closing its doors as soon as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert goes off the air for the final time, here's a #TBT to the only time I got to step foot in the famed theater... it was for "Live on Letterman" - the webcast series where they would livestream an artist performing a full concert from the Ed Sullivan Theater shortly after they appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman. And I was super lucky to get to attend St. Vincent's webcast concert in July 2014 - right as she was experiencing widespread acclaim for her self-titled album. Seeing St. Vincent perform during this period was incredible enough, but seeing her in such a unique setting made it even more special.

Fun Fact: not only can you still watch the entire concert on YouTube, but you can actually spot me (for like half a second) as St. Vincent makes her entrance and goes down the aisle toward the stage! Included the best screenshot I could get in this clip 😆

Where was the most unique place you've seen one of your favorite bands live? Share in the comments below, and stay tuned for more things to come from this space (including stories from concerts like this)!

Just saw that Annie is doing a concert in Pittsburgh, PA along with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Sounds like a cool show to me. Wondering if anyone in this sub has seen her do a similar orchestral performance?

'Big Time Nothing' on TV show "Margo's Got Money Problems"

I squealed when I heard 'Big Time Nothing' on the Apple TV show "Margo's Got Money Problems". Such a good montage.

For those watching, episode 6 called "Grudge Match".

Possible Colbert Show Surprise?

100% speculation on my part, but next week Stephen Colbert has his final shows, and on Tuesday David Byrne will perform. I believe Annie is also good friends with Colbert, so I wonder if she might appear as well? Maybe a long shot, but worth watching to find out.

St. Vincent + NY Philharmonic tickets?

If anyone has tickets that they no longer want or can’t use, please let me know. I’d love to take them off your hands if you’re willing to part with them for sale price. I’d even take just one.

Love St. Vincent, Annie blew my mind when she did a crazy live theremin solo circa 2010. This concert seems like a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I missed the initial sale, now all the resale are crazy expensive.

Thanks 🙏

I'm trying to get my friend into St. Vincent...what should he listen to?

For context, Annie is playing in my hometown next month and I need someone to go with me in order to go. I would like to ask my friend to go, but I'm not entirely sure what he should listen to in order to be fully prepared and enjoy her work.

He likes Radiohead and Muse, but he said that Remain In Light by Talking Heads is mid. How should I go about this?

Trying to sell St. Vincent with the New York Philharmonic on 7/2. Can no longer go :(

Hello! Not sure if this is allowed here but I bought a ticket in the rush to get a seat before it sold out and I forgot I’ll be away for vacation. Would love to give another fan the chance to go as it is sold out. Asking for the $90 I spent and can transfer the ticket digitally via the New York Philharmonic website. You would just have to make a profile with the site. Lmk if you are interested!
