Switched all S1s to Kobra Xs

Sold all my S1s and switched to Kobra Xs. I have 2 more Xs on the way and for what I use them the X was better for me. At the price point and print quality, you just cant beat them. I was able to queue the same print on my X and S1 and it would finish 30 minutes faster on a 5 hour print and that was with only 22 color changes.

Leatherface on the Kobra X 🔥

I printed this foot tall Leatherface on the Anycubic Kobra X 🤓. It printed in parts at about 20 print hours total...zero issues even on the smallest parts 💪 Model by DecorMaster on Cults3d

ESUN Filament Profile

Hello,

I have recently bought the Kobra X, with my old printer I used the ESUN Filaments (PLA+ and PLA Matte), do you know where I can find the profiles for such filaments to include them in the anycubic slicer? I have searched around but without success.

Kobra X back on sale

Available for $279 again in US.

Seen a review of Kobra 4 - single color Kobra X. Cheap, if you don't need multi-color.

What could be causing this?

Twice with the same print I’ve heard a rough noise like the nozzle hitting the plate but I don’t think it actually did 🤷‍♂️
I’ve used a 3MF file from makerworld but adjusted the setting like decreasing the speed and adding support

Contacting anycubic

Has anyone ever gotten a response from anycubic when trying to get a hold of them? Most of my order of filament showed up shortly after I ordered it, and was never told there was a delay in the rest. I have sent a lot of mails to different emails on the site, not one has ever gotten back to me. Anyone else have this issue? Or know a good way to get a hold of them?

Slot 4 not detecting filament.

This is my 4th day with my Kobra X (which is my first 3d printer) and I ran into a clogging issue. I followed the video below which fixed the clogging issue, but now when I try to load filament into the 4th slot it doesn’t detect anything. The first 3 slots work how they are supposed to though. If anybody knows a possible fix for this I’d really appreciate it!!

Video I used to fix clogging issue: https://youtu.be/P16ejW3c3Go?si=mL1RmoG2yLmAi7-o

Update: I woke up this morning and the detection on slot 4 randomly started working. Not sure what caused it, KX must’ve needed a good nights rest or something. I appreciate everyone for the advice and will update this thread if anything changes.

Secondo voi riesco a stampare questi materiali? Grazie in anticipo!

What might be going wrong here?

The red is mixing into the green.

It also ripped the print off of the bed.

This is the 2nd failure, I doubled the flushing volume for this print, but red is still mixed in and it again ripped the print off of the bed (I added glue stick this time)

3d printing out here making people's days!

So a few weeks ago I purchased a new Kobra X in order to print a project for my son's birthday. I'd previously owned some no name bed slinger, but hadn't touched it in years. We had tons of filament just laying around. So my son started gathering small fidgets, dragons, simple action figures. And each day he greets the woman who lets kids out at drop off and shows her what his dad 3d printed for him. As a blended family (he's my stepson, and neurodivergent), hearing him announce me as "dad" is a major step forward.

Well he had told this woman, my dad can pwint anything. So she asked if I could make a SpongeBob. I originally printed a simple one color white SpongeBob fidget. We gave it to her the other day and she was absolutely floored. But I felt guilty it wasn't accurate colors. I decided to build this pen storage SpongeBob for her.

When we dropped him off this morning, she was proudly wearing the fidget she had gotten, however she'd taken it to have it painted professionally in order to look like SpongeBob. She cried when my son presented her the pencil storage and proceeded to tell my wife her husband's name was Bob. He passed away from dementia and the necklace meant so much to her.

Just wanted to share a bit of good that I didn't see coming when we purchased the printer.

Need Help with my new 3D-Printer

I currently have the Kobra Neo and am very happy with it. I'd like to get a new printer, but I'm not sure whether to go with the Kobra X or the Kobra S1.

What are your experiences?

Massive leak. How to clean?

After weeks and weeks of false clogging errors, I decided to change my filament roll for a new one in the hopes that the error was popping because of humidity. I left the printer calibrating before the print before heading to bed just to get up and see the clogging error on my phone notifications. I got up, went to the printer and the clog turned out to be a massive leak that has basically wrapped around the nozzle, the silicon sock and everything around. I have decided to take apart the whole printhead as the solid hard pla blob won't budge.

Any suggestion on how to get rid of this mess is welcome.

EDIT: well I was able to take the whole chunk, nozzle included, and pull it out. I've brushed it cleand and now it's even better looking than before. Unfortunatelly there was more clogged filament deep inside the hotend, so I had to take it out, unscrew the side screw that holds the four hole funnel to take the inside funnel unclog that bit, put everything back in place. Unfortunatelly it was then taking ages to detect the temperature, and apparently the motor that pulls in the filament wasn't doing its job. So I went to take it out to fit it in its place when I accidentally pull to hard from the filament sensor and I unplugged it from the main board on the back. it was too late to carry on so I left it off and I will carry on tomorrow.

UPDATE: I took the whole printhead off and open it to take a closer look and plug back in the filament sensor and the 7-segment display I had accidentally pulled out, ensured everything was properly attached, put the printhead back on the railing. It's now printing a benchy. Fingers crossed.

PS: I found the silicon sock lying behind the printer. I guess the pressure pushed it away when there was no more room
