r/Anytype

I am a happy paying user for Anytype, but the recent announcement of Anytwo got me a bit worried. Is anything known about the timeline, e.g. when migration will be possible? I feel a bit (well, actually completely) left in the dark by not even having test access. I know it's possible to keep on using Anytype, because it will be open sourced, but that's not really a serious option to me as the focus of the company will be on the new product (and apparently the codebase of Anytype is not that great). I really enjoy the flexibility of the app, so hope the new app will be very similar.

I'm currently testing AnyType with the default setup on my MacBook and my other Apple devices. What I'd actually like to do is use AnyType on all my devices, but have sync run only over my own Wi-Fi home network – no cloud, no mobile data.
While testing, I noticed two things I'm hoping you can help me with:

1. How does sync work in the default mode?
   I've observed that AnyType seems to sync even when I turn off Wi-Fi and I'm only connected via mobile data. How should I understand this? Does sync in the default mode always go through the AnyType cloud as soon as there's no direct connection – or in general? And is there a setting that lets me say: "Only sync over my home network"?
2. I can't get the P2P connection to work:
   I tried setting up the P2P connection, but so far without success – even though all my devices are on the same network. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this or how to fix it?
   I'd really appreciate it if someone could share their experience with this.
