Replacing an old non gaming monitor and need advice.
I’m experiencing 60/0 packet loss almost every game and it’s making Apex basically unplayable.
I’m connected through Ethernet, have great internet speeds, and recently got a brand-new router. Every other online game I play runs perfectly with no connection issues whatsoever. This only happens on Apex Legends.
I’ve restarted my modem/router, checked my Ethernet connection, and I’m still getting the same problem.
Has anyone dealt with this and actually found a fix? At this point I’m convinced it has something to do with Apex or its servers rather than my internet.
Any help would be appreciated because this is ridiculous.
This nerf on console has created the most cancer meta with axel and full send mentality.
Now because people can’t aim mid range or long range it’s just a plethora of longbow sentinel teams who get a headshot cause the bullet size is ridiculous and full send you to only end up a pile of death boxes with axle ults and seer q’s
This aim assist nerf on top of the current legend meta and ttk has genuinely made apex unrecognizable.
Idk if this is just me but the gameplay audio is SO OFF!!
It sounds like shots being fired from one direction but it's a totally opposite direction, teammate voicelines sound like they are right next to me when teammates are nowhere near me.
These last few games it's sounded like I was surrounded by gunfire when it's only coming from one direction, it's so damn confusing!!!
I have played Apex Legends for 4 years. I'm a daily player, but (I assume primarily because of my age...i'm 56) i'm mediocre in skill.
My question is - I play mostly on Xbox, but sometimes i move to Playstation so that i my daughter and i can play together - she gets the xbox. I started on PS, but now that i've been primarily on xbox for several years, i've run into a problem.
On Xbox i'm fairly accurate. Nothing stupendous, but i can one-clip an enemy pretty reliably as long as i'm not surprised or forgot to reload.
On PS....even turning my ADS per optic down as low as i can, my movement is so bloody fast i can't control it. I've had my daughter (younger with much faster reflexes) try it, and shown her my settings, and she's baffled too. I have all of them at 2 or 1 for cryin' out loud, and i still can't control the gun. it swings so fast I have no hope of hitting anything. Then sometimes i'm suddenly moving so slowly that I go turn it back up...with predictable results.
This all started after one of the big updates at lesat a year ago. this is NOT NEW.
I have to be missing something. What settings can I try to adjust to help? what settings do you need me to share with you to see how i have it set up? i mostly use default settings, except FOV and button layout - i use button masher (or whatever it's called) to swap sqat/slide with punch. Otherwise i don't mess with the settings because, frankly, i don't understand a lot of them and don't want to much things up.
help?
Is this a good clip? Ye I squad wiped and save my team but I just want some input one whether it’s good
1v3 with thermites in 15 seconds…
I'm struggling with getting my fences to place exactly where I want, they snap wildly and it's cost me so many clutch moments when a door fence would have got me an easy kill.
Are there any console specific wattson guides for controller? Any tips and tricks you guys can share too? I've recently begun rapidly deploying and attempting to rapidly recollect fences during reloads, so I'm just basically spider webbing towards enemies and taking corners but the pick up nodes using down in dpad is so terrible sometimes, I wish I could just hold the button and scan around to pick up everything in my crosshair or better, the abandon trap option should be something we can trigger at will.
Whatever knowledge you can share. Cheers.
A little pretext, I solo queue to master every split. I’m definitely not the best player by any means but I’ve been playing FPS competitively for a long time and I’m surely PRETTY GOOD. I have great rotations and awareness, I train my aim before every session, have played mouse and key and controller both at a high level, and have won tournaments in COD warzone in the past and placed second in a halo tournament. All of this to say, my aim is probably PRETTY WELL ABOVE AVERAGE, and I’m clearly good at games.
So…
Why does it feel like 40-50% of fights that I take, my opponent is playing with more confidence than prime Mike Tyson and just completely sitting me down? Like, people are just ignorantly swinging me while we’re both full HP, I don’t miss a shot yet I’m dead and they’re at 40-50hp.
I will say, I only have about 1700 hours in apex which I know is a lot less than some of these guys so there could be something I’m missing? I’m totally open to the fact that they are just better and have played longer than me…but my instincts are screaming at me that something is fishy.
Just looking for some feedback or insight from the community, I would totally love to be wrong because that would push me harder to improve, but as of right now I can’t help but think that I’m dying to cheaters a lot of the time. (Which would suck because I love this game 😞)
I would like some recommendations on who to play. I solo queue ranked and tend to play Legends like ballistic or mad Maggie and go for high kill and ir damage games but was thinking it might be better if I play something with more movement like a skirmisher.
I want some ideas on who may fit that playstyle
Maybe someone faced my problem, but the game stopped running itself in 2560 x 1440 and 120 hertz and starts in 3840 x 2160 and 60 hertz. At first I thought that there was a problem with the TV, but no, the street fighter, for example, is launched at 120 hertz and the resolution necessary for this.
What to do???
Title says it. Ever since the new update, like once every 20 or so games (and typically after opening a care pack) the buttons on my controller just stop functioning. The paddles that I have programmed for jump and slide still working, but everything else stops. I've tried restarting controller mid game, even rebooting my xbox mid game and rejoining the same game, and nothing works. Anyone else experiencing this?
How does the Aim Assist change feel on apex with the 2-4% change to controller on Console compared to Pc I been wondering how the aim assist feels on console since the change?
Did they really unofficially nerf aim-assist?
Day 1 player and pred here and this isn't towards everyone but a large portion of apex community is toxic. My favorite is when they go off alone and push a whole team just to get clapped and call you the bad player. At this point there needs to be a special needs Playlist for some of you. Had a lobby where a grown up was shit talking a kid for being new. Gaming back in the day was way more chill. Also playing with randoms who hot drop but can't win gunfights happens 90% of the time and is my biggest issue with this game. Ppl play this game like cod or fortnite get clapped than bitch about it
I died 3 times to the same triple titan team today and I DM’d one of them on TikTok and this was his response:
Why?
Where are these?
-Ability to move and loot (just swap sticks around in menu)
-Reload while holding doors without opening (just put it in the fucken wheel for godsake) or double tap left or right.
-Reload while behind knock down shield. Same as above.
-Increase extra yaw/pitch speed. COD has almost double the extra yaw/pitch speed. This is a movement shooter after all?
-No tap strafe? Why? Why remove it on MnK then bring it back and then now nothing? What is the agenda here? Its not like tap strafing is accurate with aiming at all on any input. Its merely a movement mechanic to get away or move faster around certain obstacles or break ankles.
-Why does smoke also increase sensitivity not just remove aim assist? At least keep the slowed down sensitivity when ADS in smoke so that we dont increase almost HALF of our sensitivity. Imagine doubling sensitivity on mnk when in smoke. Thats how it feels.
-Why no other response curves other than classic in ALCs?
-Why cant we have zero deadzone options on left stick?
-Why do people have to use bleed through to slightly reduce sensitivities or increase it?
-Why can't some buttons be mapped to weapon change etc and it doesn't function anymore when in a loot box?
Do the devs spend way too much time listening to MnK complainers and just gave up on doing anything meaningful against QOL on controller? Like what kind of logic is this.
