Apex, thank you so much for making this change. It means a lot to finally feel like ranked is fair again. People should view the current rank being moved to pubs and they are creating this new soloq rank system.

I also want to address the people complaining about not being able to play ranked with friends. Apex isn’t taking away your ability to play with your friends — they’re just saying that if you want to play casually with friends of different skill levels, there are already modes like pubs, Wildcard, and Mixtape for that. What’s so bad about that?

And if the argument is that those modes “aren’t competitive enough,” then the current ranked system wasn’t truly competitive either.

When full three-stack Pred teams are constantly running through Diamond and Plat lobbies, it isn’t enjoyable for either side. The Pred teams are basically farming kills with little challenge, while Diamond and Plat players get eliminated instantly and never have the chance to improve.

So honestly, what’s really different between the current ranked system and pubs besides gaining RP? Right now, there’s barely any difference. Ranked should actually feel competitive and balanced, not like high-level players farming lower-skilled lobbies every match.

The last two days in ranked have been pure hell. Half your squads are wiped in the first three minutes of a Platinum lobby. You're literally wiped from any distance, with any weapon, no matter how hard you try to move. It was hard before, but now climbing higher seems impossible. The game simply puts you on tilt, in any mode, because you have no chance.

I don't believe that all the players are so good at aim. That's impossible.

1 or 2 instances is fine but every single game, I've been thrashed by perfectly co-ordinated masters or predator squads. Are the devs looking into this?

Meanwhile my squad has 2 plat and 1 gold most of the times for some reason.

I have been playing this game since launch, i remember getting my very first win with my buddy in our college dorm room. With that said i think this is the worst they’ll ever implement for players like me.

Me and my buddies play this game once or twice a week after work. One of us is on a ps4 so games we can play together are limited as is.

How is it fair that i will no longer be able to play with them in ranked? We are hard stuck diamond every season but the challenge is fun and helps you improve. I don’t see why you would penalize people for having a team in a team based game!

Sometimes all 3 of us cant play and we duo queue instead. I think people are SEVERELY overlooking how unwilling people are to communicate/play as a team.

We constantly hop in game chat during duos, and 80% of people are completely kill crazy,pushing fight after fight, not willing to rotate zone or even open their mic to communicate!

Just wanted to put my thoughts out there and see what other “casual” 3 stacks feel about it. Im open to hearing both sides.

Movement, cheating, and awful teammates Have all made apex feel absolutely unenjoyable to me.

The whole movement and rushing meta makes every fight feel the same and way too sweaty. Once someone gets more than 50 damage on me, the whole team is flying in with speed gates, stims, jump pads, rev leaps, etc. I end up getting beamed by an R99 before I can even begin to start healing.

Cheating is absolutely rampant, and in every single game, yet nothing is being done about it. Xims, no-recoil controllers, smurfing, boosting, etc. It's honestly ridiculous at how bad cheating is at the moment. I could be in the open for 2 seconds max, and I get beamed by a no recoil full auto gun for nearly all my health by one of these cheaters.

I know awful teammates isnt really a dev issue, but they ruin the game a lot, so its worth mentioning.

I have never played a PvP game where bad teammates are so consistent. I can not comprehend what goes through these people's heads with the decisions they make. Running solo to try and 1v3, engaging in a fight just to completely ditch me and my other teammate with a movement ability, giving up the best circle positions just to thirst a kill, etc. It would be nice if something was added to encourage these people to just stay near their team.

I want to clarify that I still think Apex is a great game. it's just that there's so many things that make it feel awful right now. I simply can't enjoy it. it's just frustrating and boring.

I am forced to write this publicly because EA has been blocking or ignoring all direct communication with their Legal Department, Data Protection Officer, and Privacy team.

1. Background of the Account
   Since 2019 I have played Apex Legends on PlayStation with the PSN ID Hrc_Tequilla(and previously also Hrc_prooffe / Prooffe96).
   I built a legitimate Level 500 account with heirlooms, rare skins, badges, battle passes and thousands of hours of gameplay.
   I have never received any ban or sanction on this account or my previous accounts since 2019.
2. Origin of the Problem (around 2023)
   In 2021-2022 I bought a PC and created a new EA account. Around 2023, after the introduction of cross-progression, a faulty PSN-EA account linking occurred. My entire original progression became disconnected from the correct EA account and was lost.
3. Two Years of Support Attempts (2023 – November 2025)
   For more than two years I contacted EA Help repeatedly through multiple EA accounts. Every ticket followed the same ineffective loop with no resolution.
   When I mentioned my GDPR rights as an EU citizen (Belgium) and asked for contact information of higher support or the GDPR team, multiple agents ignored my requests and simply ended the chat or disconnected the conversation. This happened repeatedly.
4. Formal GDPR Rectification Request (20 November 2025)
   On 20 November 2025 I submitted a formal rectification request under Article 16 GDPR, Article 5(1)(d) GDPR and Article 12(3) GDPR.
5. EA’s Own Confirmations and Failed Recovery Process (November 2025)
   EA Customer Relations confirmed in writing that they had located my PSN Hrc_Tequilla in their historical records and that the data still existed on the correct EA account.
   They explicitly stated: “we can start the verification process to start recovery”. I immediately confirmed I was ready and willing to complete all verification steps. Despite multiple follow-up emails to [edit: email address removed]and [edit: email address removed], I received no response and no further instructions.
6. Sudden Ban Before GDPR Deadline (30 November 2025)
   On 30 November 2025 — while my GDPR rectification request was still active and the legal 1-month deadline (20 December 2025) had not yet expired — a permanent ban (Request-2820450) was suddenly applied to the account.
7. EA’s Sanction Notice (19 May 2026)
   EA sent a notice with almost no evidence — only one vague log entry (time: 2025-11-30T15:22:59.898168Z → type: ban) and an incorrect platform listed as Nintendo Switch(while I play exclusively on PC).
8. Apparent Retaliation and Obstruction
   I have now been forced to fight a permanent ban that has already been denied multiple times. This gives the strong impression that the ban was applied because the GDPR deadline was approaching, allowing EA to hide behind their Terms of Service instead of fulfilling their legal obligations.
9. Suppression of Discussion
   Most of my posts and replies on the official EA forums discussing this matter are quickly deleted under the reason “spamming”. It would be far simpler for EA to help me recover my legitimate account rather than continuing to obstruct and silence me.
10. Current Situation & GDPR Violations
    According to Article 12(3) GDPR, EA was required to respond to my rectification request within one month (by 20 December 2025) at the latest. It has now been over 7 months since my request on 20 November 2025 with no proper resolution.
    EA has committed multiple violations of the GDPR, including:
    Article 12(3) — Failure to respond or rectify within the mandatory one-month period (now more than 7 months overdue).
    Article 16 — Failure to rectify inaccurate personal data (wrong PSN-EA account linking).
    Article 5(1)(d) — Violation of the accuracy principle.
    Article 12(1) & 12(2) — Failure to facilitate the exercise of my GDPR rights (chats ended when GDPR was mentioned, ghosting after agreeing to verification).
    Article 5(2) & Article 24 — Lack of accountability and responsibility.
    Obstruction / Retaliation — Applying a permanent ban precisely when the GDPR deadline was nearing, effectively sabotaging my ability to exercise my rights.
    The ban now blocks the GDPR recovery process I was actively following. EA’s internal rules and Terms of Service cannot override mandatory EU GDPR obligations.

Hello everyone,

I came back to Apex after a while. I have played maybe 30 games in the past 3 or 4 years. I loved this game on release and grinded hours on it up until season 7, I believe. I picked it up recently since some friends wanted to play it again.

My main point is, WTF is up with getting beamed in .5 seconds? Don't get me wrong, I've been beamed before and often since I don't play much. I've put maybe 20 hours into the game this month alone, and 19 of those hours I've been downed practically in less than two seconds.

Every time I spectate, I hardly ever see anyone with recoil, and I see people just ripping through purple armors like they are white armors from season 1. I don't know if they are actually cheating or not, hence this post. What I have witnessed is so insane. Everyone is getting downed and downing others extremely fast that I'm confused as to what has changed. Am I alone on this? Am I just really bad (I'm okay being bad)? I've seen the stuff about controllers, but is that really a big deal affecting lobbies left and right?

I mostly play for fun with my friends on crossplay. I am on M&K and friends on console, we occasionally queue up for ranked (we are not good silver mid gold at best). But we have seen this issue on pubs and on wildcard. Should.i just stay away for good? I honestly love the playing but I dont really see the point in queuing up to loot for 10 mins and get sent to the lobby in 5 seconds.

So I just downloaded the game, and I was wondering if I could get some tips. Also can I get help with my game settings. What weapons should I get? What class should I play. And also, what happened in the past seasons? Is this game worth playing?

So for starters; it's xbox if that matters. I can't really get any footage because I've pissed them all off by kicking them out of customs I had done before the better reporting system was a thing but is there a way I can just put a marker on them?

I know the group by heart because they would always join my friends customs, talk mad shit, hit 90% of their shots, and then if you call them or their friends out they just call you crazy (because why admit you're a loser)

If you're curious about who I'm talking about-you can just make a lfg on xbox for customs and I can almost guarantee you get one of them every other time if not every time-

I am going to try to get into the discord server to see if there is something I can do, but I haven't been able to-but I think that's user error on my part

I was playing with my friend and they told me they had demotion protection, even though i have literally never had that in my entirety of playing ranked, whats going on? Is it only available to certain players?? Wtf?

Might be just skill gap not too sure yet but I’m tired of a full three men Valk squad landing on me and it’s nothing I can do about it. I’m closing the app every time I don’t care about that 10 minute penalty or point loss😅

Im seriously considering qutting apex, this is an issue that needs to be brought to DEVs, there are cheaters in every single game ive played this season of ranked. Cheating especially inna competitive scene should be unimaginable and unforgiving.

I need HELP on how to make these DEVs realize the extend of the issue.

Hey I'm a pretty new player and am starting to switch from Vallyrie main to a Bangalore main i guess...

Do you feel like i put myself in a disadvantage when playing crossplay lobbies or should I stick to Valk or use another legend?

Or maybe disable crossplay (annoying to queue longer because of that) to have everyone struggle with the loss of aim-assist and be in an advantage because i am more used to it?

I would also be very grateful to receive some tips for using her smokes and ult in the best/most effective ways.

So basically at this point I don't know if theres anyway to have fun in this game, if you play ranked at diamond rank or above every other squad has 1 player running with some kind of cheats most usually titans as far as I can see, so it becomes unfun and almost impossible to progress to master+ without grinding your ass off while dying to squads who have no recoil and aim assist on steroids and the situation is just getting worse last season there was significantly less blatant cheaters. Also if you try to play pubs the sbm ruins the fun in there since you get the same exact players there that you do in ranked. And it doesn't seem that respawn is doing anything about these console cheaters either (ik it's hard to detect that shit but cmon) at this point it feels like the common situation in many games where you have to join the cheating community in order to have a fair game and I really don't want to do that and won't but it's so frustrating that so many people might have the same mentality as me but it just feels like there's no choice but to buy an external device since the situation is so bad. I would like to hear the expertise and experience from other people like surely I'm not alone on this one and if someone is cheating I would like to hear your thoughts on this situation and how many people do you think are cheating since you should know that far better than a person that isn't. Respawn has to do something about this either banning people faster and more effectively or at this point just make it (legal) so everyday Joe's can cheat without a fear of a ban.
