I’m starting to feel that it’s not worth learning all these combos, when it’s literally better to just auto and kite with Infernum and ghost. I kind of feel disappointed that he’s more auto-attack oriented since his identity-shift from the start of Season 16; kind of makes the muscle memory of learning swap-combos less important.

Aphelios felt more fun before Season 16, or is it just me.

Does death dance really neuters your damage?

Started playing adc recently mainly aphelios and I noticed that whenever the enemy bruiser gets this item I just stop dealing damage even with LDR

Yea I know its supposed to deal the damage overtime but still i feel like im tickling them

Even the tanks dont feel that tanky

It’s honestly so depressing at this point

We are genuinely getting the ryze treatment at this point where we are becoming forgotten and nerfed to the ground, I doubt we will get any new skins this year ngl. This is the first time ive seen this community (and I) complain and it’s so valid because our champion quite literally 1. Lost his identity 2. Is dogshit

There’s a really plausible solution for this but it would require everyone’s sacrifice and since we are getting the ryze treatment, we have to give the ryze solution.

For those who don’t know, ryze had tons of reworks and then ended up getting a BIG NERF, ryze mains in retaliation started loading up games and running it down (30% wr) which riot couldn’t ignore and had to give him buffs and revert his nerf.

WE YES WE COULD DO THIS IF WE INCORPORATE THIS IDEA, we could tell riot to undo the nerfs AND ACTUALLY MAKE APHELIOS FEEL like the 5 gun champion he is .

(dogshit ult dogshit weapons garbage abilities no new skins)

Is there a reason gravitum doesn’t attack with the offhand weapon like all the others?

I personally don’t think it makes sense thematically. Just with the rest of the kit and all. I could see it being broken with calibrum getting two mark autos if you land the initial calibrum q into gravitum q. Would it be too big of a buff? Would it be worth exchanging stats for? Curious

Bastionbreaker on Aphelios

Im trying to use the rune "Jack of All Trades" on Aphelios, building an lethality item, PD with Doran's blade and armor or magic def. (Something similar to Vayne's 4T7VN build) and one item that caught my attention is Bastionbreaker, the idea is to use the lethality stats you get from leveling up, making the item's passive scale, and take advantage of the rune's adaptive damage. I've been testing it in a few games and it seems like a good item to me. Is there anyone who can analyze its viability compared to crit standard build? thanks

This champ just feels forgotten at this point

I’m unsure why, but I was kind of holding out hope for the next patch to address Aphelios in some way. I mean, it’s been a long time since the last nerf which was major and yet:

  • Not a single acknowledgment of his state since the massive nerf in 26.04 (slight tap down they said, despite myself and others predicting it would be massive).

  • No acknowledgment of his nerfs prior (nerf on almost every ability) which changed the champion a solid amount, especially as far as his laning goes.

  • Still talking about him as though he’s a pro issue, when he hasn’t been since the removal of galeforce.

  • His mastery curve, which used to be his strongest attribute as a champion, is legitimately middle of the pack for adcs and most champions now after all the nerfs and changes.

I still enjoy this champ, but really, he’s been gutted more than he ever was even when he was a pro play champion, and it’s a sad state of affairs. I’m not even asking for massive buffs, but for the champion to at least be discussed in some way that feels pertinent, accurate, and up to date with his current state.

I haven't gotten better...

I made a script that showcases LP inflation. Im D2 11 LP. My highest rank ever.

But it actually just translates plat 1 back in the day.

Another example is that D2 used to be a crazy rank that everyone aspired to be back in 2018.

D2 50LP in 2018 translates to master 87 LP today.

new goal: Master 87 LP

New secondary runes?(coachless)

Magic footwear fixes mobility issue though you are more vulnerable early but with help from homeguards it doesn't matter

And cosmic insight is very good if you run flash+ghost so you can use them more in lane and not get statchecked by barrier every 3m(your ghost is only 20s off barrier), plus ghost outscales barrier.

I still run triple/cashback +cosmic and feels better mostly. But probably footwear is the secret cook(though the timer suggests it is played by good people that are stomping and getting them early)

Now for the lesser runes:

adaptive instead of attack speed is better for the green poke, though you may struggle with cs but a single point in W fixes anyways. Ms shard helps fix mobility issue early and compensates not having boots, also has insane synergy with magical footwear, paired with phantom dancer and ghost you are kiting king.

Smolder runs ms shard and adaptive and has not fallen to the bottom despite the massive nerfs he got. We should learn to use the better runes, this trend shows accros multiple adcs favoring ms shard and flat adaptive.

Tips on camera placement.

I got owned by \"Base Nipples\"

Scroll for video/scoreboard on the next slide.

It's not on the replay - but I find myself having too much negative space of useless information on my camera. I ruled this out as me tunnel visioning on their carry Irelia.

I remember asking this before, but it was still not as helpful,
but now that I have an example to show.

What is a good rule of thumb for having good camera placement in your experience?

Caitlyn played really well, not only was she constantly popping in and out of vision from the "base stone" but she was also blending very well with my HUD. - I potentially ruled out what I can do with my hud because it is minimized all the way.

But as you can see from the Scoreboard, my priority was Irelia.

Ahaha~ but alas I didn't expect her to restore 80% hp.

(This was a 5 stack.) We understood that Kassadin was not the play there - losing so much precedence in the early game up until level 16 feels bad.
But fuck I still feel like it was my fault lol.
