[LF] - Philadelphia, PA - beginner plants, snails

Hi, I’m new to the hobby and am looking to add some more live plants to my tank. I’m interested in any kind of plant besides floaters, and any kind of small snail. Can trade up to 10 baby cherry shrimp or homemade sourdough bread (or a jar of sourdough starter if you want one!). Willing to drive anywhere in a 45 minute radius of Philadelphia.

[GA] - Richmond, VA - Free - Neon Tetras

I need to re-home 12 neon tetras. I have a fully cycled, planted tank, and I am giving it all away for free: the fish, the filter, the plants, and the decor (if wanted).  The new owner must meet these four non-negotiable requirements:

  1. They must know tetras, ideally having owned them. No novices, please. 2. As a minimum, they must have a 20-gallon LONG tank, not 20-gallon tall. So 30" long. 3. No other fish in the tank. 4. All twelve fish must be kept together.

These fish, well, four of them, have the most amazing origin story. My husband does water mitigation and fire and smoke clean-up. He was inspecting a big fire job. The entire house was affected; one wall was completely gone. The homeowners were out of the country. By the time my husband got to the job, the house had been without power for two weeks. When he saw a tiny 3-gallon fish tank covered in soot, he assumed he'd find dead fish in there. To his shock, he saw four live fish. Nobody we've told the story to has any idea how these guys survived first the fire itself, and then two weeks with no filter, no food, in a dirty (from neglect, not just the fire) tiny tank covered with soot.

My husband had no idea what to do with them (we are not fish people and never had a fish tank). But he couldn't leave them there, so he brought them to the office. Long story short, I brought them home and put them in a 20-gallon tank, which I cycled and planted (boy, I had no idea what it took to establish a tank!!). And I got them friends.
So now you may understand why I feel so protective of these little guys. They've been through so much. Please help me find a good forever home for them.

I’m in Richmond, VA (Henrico). Pick up only.

[GA] - Los Angeles, CA - Betta unimaculata

I have a small group of betta unimaculata “mini mahakam, separi” and a small group of betta antuta “LP” that need a new home. They’re very hardy and eat just about anything but I’m moving and need to downsize my tanks. I’d also be interested in trading for any low light/low maintenance plants or floaters. Local pickup only please

[FS] - San Mateo, CA - $10 - Cherry shrimp

I'm liquidating my 5 gallon shrimp tank and need to start by getting rid of the shrimp. I AM NOT SELLING THE TANK YET

For $10 you get everything in there. I'm not positive how many adults. I don't want to pull everything apart and count until I have arranged a handoff. They range from low grade to what I think is a high grade. Plus occasionally a yellow one pops up. :P

Pickup massively preferred, but for an extra fee I'm willing to arrange a handoff somewhere between lower SF (like the sunset or mission) and Sunnyvale.

[GA] -New York, NY - Endler Guppies

Hello. I have mixed varieties of endlers. Crazy mix, all types; no picking please, just whatever I can catch easily. ! They've been summering outdoors in 'guppy tubs' and the population exploded. Pick up UWS Manhattan. Giving away over next few weeks while temps are still warm.

[FS] - Bay Area, CA - $180 - Established 10 Gallon Planted Aquarium Complete Setup + Neon Tetras

Selling my established 10-gallon planted aquarium as a complete setup. Asking $180, but I am open to reasonable offers/negotiation. Local pickup in the Bay Area only.
IMPORTANT: The tank will not be available for pickup until around October 1. I am moving out of state in early October and am posting ahead of time because I would like to find the right person to take over the established setup. If you’re seriously interested, I’m happy to arrange the pickup in advance.
The aquarium is fully planted with mature, well-rooted live plants. I would really like the entire setup to go to someone who will continue taking care of it.
Included:
10-gallon aquarium
Mature, established live plants
5 neon tetras
Brand-new filter
Heater
Aquarium light
Fishkeeping supplies I have for the setup
I would strongly prefer to sell the entire setup together rather than parting it out.
Asking $180 OBO/open to reasonable offers.
Local pickup only — Bay Area, CA. Available around October 1.
Feel free to comment if you’re interested, have questions, or would like additional photos.

Am surrendering my treasured shrimp
Need to have them moved out by the end of this week
Looking to giveaway my treasured bloody mary neocaridinia shrimp and the entire 5.5 gallon setup.
Started this tank in February with 5 Bloody Mary neocaridinia shrimp and 2 nerite snails and the population has since exploded.
Photos go from most recent to oldest with the last pic being when I set up the tank.

Can pickup the entire setup or just the shrimp

Animals
~ estimated about 30 Bloody Mary neocaridinia shrimp
- 1 nerite snail
- few bladder snails

Plants
- Jungle valisneria
- sword plant
- anacharis (elodea)
- Java moss

Equipment
-hygger sponge filter
-seaoura LED lights

Tank is exceptionally well planted at this point and requires very little maintenance. Nothing is wrong with the tank but I am moving and cannot take care of these guys anymore. If you are looking to get into the hobby or simply want to add Bloody Mary shrimp into your menagerie this is for you.

[FS] - Worcester, MA - $8 - Baby Blueberry Snail

Hi everyone, my blueberry snails have been thriving lately! 😄 I am planning to rehome some of the babies with a rehome fee. They'll available for pickup in Worcester, MA. If interested, please send me a DM! 🫐🐌

These are relatively newly discovered species in the genus viviparus (species name TBD). They are unique in that they need a male and female to reproduce. The females give birth to live young about every 2-4 weeks. This prevents overpopulation. These snails do best in a well established tank with plenty of biofilm, calcium-rich water, and only very peaceful tank mates.

[LF] Portland Oregon - biofilm eaters

Something collapsed my snail population so I thought I'd reach out and see if anyone has excess snails they'd like to get rid of. Will pay up to 15 dollars and shipping.
