Lastly, I'm not listing them yet but I will later be posting my plants (buce, anubias, etc) and Waterbox Clear 4820 aquarium with stand. You may make an offer only if you would like to take everything, livestock included. Again, pickup only.

Looking for a good home for my betta fish in Brooklyn, NY.

I saved Big Red from a dollar store where he was in really bad shape and had a severe case of velvet disease. I nursed him back to health and we have grown a special bond, so it is hard for me to make this decision. He is a really special fish with so much personality.

Unfortunately, I’m no longer able to give him the care he deserves. I started a new job about six months ago that requires a lot of travel, and I am moving across the country for said job in September. As much as I hate to give him up, I won’t be able to take him with me.

He currently lives in a 2.5-gallon tank with a heater, filter, and lamp, and I’m happy to include his entire setup with him if needed.

More than anything, I’m hoping to find someone who has experience with bettas/fishkeeping and will give him a good home. He’s been through a lot, so I really want to know he’ll be well cared for.

I’m located in Bushwick and need to find him a home by August 30. Please message me if you’re interested or know someone who might be. I’m happy to answer any questions about him, his care, or his history.
