🌒 Eclipse Check-In: What Are You Starting to See?

🌒 Eclipse Check-In: What Are You Starting to See?

Notes Before We Begin

Method note: This post uses tropical astrology and Whole Sign houses in the Arcasts section. I’m looking at the eclipse degrees through natal houses and aspects, with Sabian Symbols added as another layer of interpretation.

Following along with your chart: Check where 20° Leo, 27° Leo/Scorpio, and 4° Pisces/Virgo fall by house and whether you have natal placements near those degrees.

🌑 Where this eclipse began

Solar Eclipse Impact Chart

The August 12 eclipse happened at 20°06′ Leo.

Because Sabian Symbols count 0°–1° as the first degree, that puts the eclipse on Leo 21:

Intoxicated chickens dizzily flap their wings trying to fly.

I keep seeing the chicken as needing a kind of enlightened state to fly. I know that sounds dramatic, but it fits the theme of this post. Flying takes awareness, control, experience, and enough steadiness for your whole system to work together.

The chicken already knows how to be a chicken. That grounded, even state is what everyone expects from it (relatively, I know we have some crazy chickens out there hahaha). So once it gets drunk and starts flapping around wildly, suddenly its failure to stay in that expected state looks almost immoral, like it chose to become less capable than the version of itself everyone already knows.

🌓 And now we reach the square

Tonight, August 19, the Moon reaches its First Quarter square to the Sun at about 9:46 PM Central, with both bodies around 27°08′ of their signs. The Sun is in Leo. The Moon is in Scorpio. Both are fixed, so there is persistence here. There is also friction between what remains constant and what is happening underneath.

The Sun is now on Leo 28: “Many little birds on the limb of a large tree.

The Moon is on Scorpio 28: “The king of the fairies approaching his domain.

We went from chickens frantically trying to fly... to many birds occupying a tree squaring a king aware of his deepest needs.

I see the birds as the resources of the collective mind. Once you can enlighten your perception enough to see the whole tree while still recognizing the individual birds, suddenly there are choices everywhere. Different ideas, different people, different paths, different ways of responding. The drunken chicken was caught inside one experience and trying to force its body through it. These birds can actually see the environment they are part of.

Then the Scorpio Moon brings in the king approaching his domain. To me, that feels like awareness of the inner world becoming strong enough to guide those outer choices. You know what you need, so you can look at all the birds on the tree and decide which ones belong in your world.

That is where I feel the square. Leo shows all the possibilities available to the individual through the collective pause of the mind, while Scorpio asks which possibilities actually serve the private emotional reality underneath. The tension brings awareness to the many ways you can participate, helping you shape a world around you that better reflects your deepest needs.

🌕 Where this eclipse window is heading

Lunar Eclipse Impact Chart

On August 28, the lunar eclipse reaches about 4°51′ Pisces/Virgo, bringing us to

Pisces 5: “A church bazaar and Virgo 5: “A man dreaming of fairies.

We are getting another fairy symbol after tonight’s Scorpio Moon shows us the king of the fairies approaching his domain. By the lunar eclipse, the Pisces Moon at the church bazaar has entered a shared spiritual space, interacting with others through exchange and community. I read that as the Moon finding regulation through participation, where connection with other people gives our inner world somewhere cohesive to go and helps contain the more decadent or scattered tendencies of the mind.

Across from it, the Virgo Sun dreaming of fairies feels like the root system underneath that experience. Virgo gives language and definition to what Pisces is collectively feeling, helping us name the patterns we are noticing and understand the shared expectations shaping everyone inside the group. The Moon lives the collective experience while the Sun helps us recognize what that experience actually is.

Tonight’s Scorpio Moon in your 9th may help you understand the larger meaning behind what those daily experiences have been teaching you. The Pisces/Virgo eclipse then moves through your 1st/7th axis, bringing that understanding directly into yourself and your relationships.

Arcwalker Livvia's Whole Sign Chart

Chart ruler: Sun, Leo Rising
Profection ruler: Mercury, Gemini 11th House
Current Solar Return: Libra rising, ruled by Venus; SR Ascendant falls in my natal 3rd house.

The solar eclipse fell at 20°06′ Leo in my 1st house, making these aspects to my natal chart:

  • Trine MC at 20°13′ Aries
  • Square Pluto at 22°36′ Scorpio
  • Quincunx Mercury-Neptune at 17°31′ Capricorn

The First Quarter Square:

  • Moon Square natal Moon in Virgo (out-of-sign)
  • Moon Conjunction Pluto in Scorpio
  • Sun trine natal Venus in Sagittarius.

The lunar eclipse happens across my Pisces 8th/Virgo 2nd house axis, with the Moon at 4°50′ Pisces and Sun at 4°50′ Virgo.

The Pisces eclipse Moon:

  • Quincunx ASC-Chiron in Leo
  • Opposition natal Moon in Virgo

The Virgo Sun on the other side of the eclipse makes the mirror contacts:

  • Semisextile ASC-Chiron in Leo
  • Conjunct natal Moon in Virgo

I spent the first part of this eclipse window with Todd and my brother, Mitchell, in Seattle while Mars moved through Cancer in my 12th house toward my Cancer South Node. I’ve often connected that South Node with the enmeshment I feel with my family, so having Mars activate it while I was staying with my brother felt on the nose. Mitchell’s Cancer Sun also falls in my 12th and opposes my Mercury-Neptune in the 6th, while his Neptune sits on my Mars-North Node there, so being together naturally pulls on that whole 12th/6th axis for me.

Mars appeared through Todd and Mitchell being very aware of my energy and wanting to help me settle into the Cancer side of things. My Capricorn Mars knows how to function and meet expectations, while Cancer in the 12th needs protection and room to retreat. Mars ruling my 4th and 9th also fits traveling far from home to stay with family while thinking about safety.

All this safety has allowed my mind to wander...

I’ve been thinking a lot about enlightenment during this eclipse window—by which I mean the expectation that a person can understand themselves well enough to regulate their behavior and live peacefully with others. Enlightenment philosophy placed a lot of importance on reason and self-governance, and I keep thinking about how easily an ability can become a moral expectation once society organizes itself around people who can reliably access it.

I can get overwhelmed so dang easily, and when enough builds up I can melt down fast or slip into psychotic states. The people closest to me know the protocols that help me stay grounded or come back when my brain moves somewhere else. Living with that has taught me how much human behavior depends on what the brain can actually access in a given moment. There are states where awareness or perception changes and the ability to participate in society the way everyone expects changes with it.

A lot of our social rules make sense from inside a brain that can stay connected to shared reality and control its reactions. My brain has shown me what happens when those abilities become harder to access, and suddenly the expectation itself looks different. A person can be suffering inside a reality that feels completely real to them while the outside world mainly sees whether they behaved correctly. Drunken chickens. That gap is where this idea of a Sun society started making sense to me.

The Sun gives us an image of constancy, and I spent the first twenty years of my life feeling like I had to maintain that same steady state. Saturn in my 7th house out of sect puts a lot of weight on other people's expectations, while Mars conjunct my North Node in Capricorn in the 6th gives me a huge ability to push toward whatever seems required. Then this eclipse comes along and pulls on MC, Pluto and Mercury-Neptune, and now I am looking at the structure underneath that past way of living.

I have a night chart, so the Moon is my sect light. Its fullness changes within one continuous cycle, and that has become an important model for how I understand my own capacity. I spent years forcing myself toward constant regulation until I met Todd in 2011, and he slowly introduced me to a life with more room for the night. By 2019, as Uranus entered my 10th house, my life had settled into into that rhythm, and my Saturn return in 2021 helped solidify it. I finally had space to rest and actually find my Moon.

I have been living in that Saturn-Return-Night for almost seven years, exploring the stars and attaching every transit and lunation to my own experiences and choices.

But when Saturn moved out of my 8th-house-Pisces-dream and entered my broarder-9th-house-Aries-beleifs, a dawn began breaking. Last year I started coming back out through astrology on Reddit. I found all of you and started doing readings publicly, giving my huge 6th-house emphasis somewhere meaningful to go. With Mercury ruling my 11th-house profection year, that daily observation now moves directly into community, while the almost exact eclipse trine to my Aries MC feels like my public direction growing out of something I spent years learning privately.

I feel like I am entering a kind of day after years of living in the night. That long period of rest gave me enough distance to finally see where my self-regulation struggles actually are, along with a much better understanding of my disability and what my brain needs to function.

I may never function according to a traditional working rhythm, but doing these readings on Reddit is teaching me how to hold both the day and the night. I am learning how much rest I need in order to return to the light with some consistency, which feels like learning a rhythm I was never able to build earlier in life. I can already feel the themes of my upcoming 12th-house profection year beginning to emerge.

The eclipse began with chickens desperately trying to fly while being judged for their choices, and tonight we reach the birds gathered in the tree while the Scorpio Moon approaches its domain. Now we can start recognizing what is available around us and choosing what actually supports our needs.

My awareness is blooming through the tension of the stars. 🌙

[August 13] Update

Hey guys! 💜 Todd and I will be visiting my brother on the West Coast until next Tuesday! It’s been almost 15 years since I’ve flown out to see him, he usually comes to see us, so I’m really excited for this trip.

I’ll still be keeping an eye on the subreddit while I’m away, but I won’t be very active. I’ll be back to my usual Arcwalking when I get home!

A Real-Life Lost-Object Horary Case Study

I had a really fun horary experiment yesterday and wanted to share it because it ended up being a great example of how lost-object horary works in practice. I had been playing my Nintendo DS, a little handheld game system, in bed before going to sleep, and sometime during the night it disappeared. I remembered having it beside me, but when I woke up later it was completely gone. We checked the bedroom, the floors, underneath everything, flipped the bed over, and eventually searched basically the whole house.

So I got desperate and cast a horary asking where my DS was!

Horary Chart for August 11th, 3:51 PM

I used Regiomontanus houses and traditional rulers. Sagittarius was rising, which made Jupiter my significator. Since the question was about a lost personal possession, I went to the 2nd house for the DS. The 2nd cusp was in Capricorn, so Saturn became the significator of the missing DS. Saturn was retrograde at about 14° Aries in the 4th house.

The first thing I wanted to know was whether the chart actually looked like I would recover it. The Moon was around 7° Leo and applying directly to Jupiter around 9° Leo, so the Moon was moving toward my significator. It would also go on to trine Saturn, the ruler of the DS.

In traditional lost-object horary, those are both useful recovery testimonies. The Moon being close to the querent's ruler can be an indication that the missing object is close to the owner. Saturn itself was angular in the 4th house, which was another reason I kept thinking this thing had to still be very close. An angular ruler of the 2nd is one of those placements that can describe the object still being inside the house.

Saturn being retrograde also caught my attention because retrograde significators in lost-object charts can describe something turning back up or being found when you go back over the same ground again. That ended up being very literal because I had already searched the bed. We had flipped the whole thing over. I had looked around the footboard already. The chart kept telling me that the object was close and recoverable, though, so I kept coming back to the same area.

Then I started looking at the location symbolism. Saturn was in the 4th house, and the traditional direction of the 4th is north. From where I was lying in bed, my head was toward the south side, so the foot of the bed was north of me. Mars ruled the 4th and was in Cancer, which adds another northern testimony. Saturn itself was in Aries, which can point east, so the directions were mixed rather than perfectly unanimous, but north kept repeating strongly enough that I paid attention to it.

The physical condition of Saturn was just as interesting. Saturn tends to describe dark, cramped, restricted places, especially places where something is enclosed or caught along a boundary. Aries is a fire sign, and traditional lost-object descriptions for fire signs can include walls, partitions, iron, or structural divisions. Aries is also cardinal, which can put something above the ground rather than lying flat on the floor and can also keep the object relatively close by.

The symbolism kept describing something nearby, hidden, north of me, and caught in some kind of narrow or structural space around the bed, possibly somewhere I had already checked.

So I went through the bed again.

When I brushed against the end of the mattress, the DS suddenly fell out. It had somehow become completely wedged between the mattress and the footboard. It was north of me, still right beside where I had been using it, above the floor at mattress height, hidden in a dark narrow gap, and physically caught against the structural boundary of the bed.

There was also one detail I only appreciated afterward. Saturn was in fall in Aries, and Mars, ruler of the 4th, was also in fall in Cancer. I would never use essential fall alone to predict that an object literally fell somewhere, but traditional lost-object charts can occasionally become very literal in that way. In this case the DS seems to have slipped down the bed from where I had left it and gotten trapped, but fell out when I finally made the right contact.

What I liked most about this example was the determination it gave me. My Mercury-Neptune-Uranus brain is constantly finding connections between things, and with that whole conjunction trine my retrograde, detrimented Jupiter in Virgo, those connections can get VERY pessimistic. I can start reading events as the universe telling me something is over or working against me, and because I already have so little energy to begin with, I can give in to that pretty quickly.

With the horary, though, I kept looking at this chart that was showing recovery and something still close to me, and it gave me this urge to keep checking and trust what I was seeing. I had already searched that bed and could have easily decided the DS was just gone somewhere impossible. Instead I went through it again and there it was! 😂 I was rewarded for the effort.

I’m really curious now whether any other Arcwalkers work with horary! I would love to hear your experiences or stories! 🌙🔍

Help me find my mom's lost ring with horary 😭

Inspired by Livvia's latest horary post and wanted to ask for help since I've basically exhausted all options.

I lost my mom's ring between inside my old apartment and the bus stop. Took it off to do dishes and put it in my pocket, when I took out my other rings to put them on while making the walk to the bus stop, it wasn't there any more. Chart cast for the moment that I called my roommates bf to check for it when I realized I lost it.

It's deeply meaningful to me and I'd do anything to get it back. Please help me interpret this chart and see where to search for / if I'll get it back. My old roommate still lives in that building so I can search for it. Thank you!

Question to Livvia

Whenever you complete a reading with the person's own queries, findings and maybe advices; how often do you notice people actually follows through it?

Let's say you made a reading with some queries of what they can do in their love life, how the future with xyz looks like and what should have done and you provide some analytics right? How often it ends up with actual understanding by that specific person? Did you ever encounter any cases where you have felt the reading you did didn't land to the person rightfully?

PS: As a learner this came up to my mind and I hope it doesn't look like I am asking something personal.🩷

Who May Feel This Week the Most

Charts with placements from roughly 15°-25° of the fixed signs: Wednesday’s total solar eclipse lands at 20°02′ Leo, placing Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius placements in this degree range closest to the eclipse field. Personal planets and angles here can make the week register more directly through the house and natal planet involved.

Charts with early-degree placements, especially around 0°-6°: A second concentration is happening at the very beginning of the signs. Pluto sits near 4° Aquarius, Neptune near 4° Aries, and Uranus near 5° Gemini. Venus and Mercury move through this structure one after another while Mars crosses 0° Cancer and Chiron sits at 0° Taurus. If your chart has early-degree personal planets or angles, several separate transits may be touching the same natal territory within a short span.

The Arcwalker Almanac

Week of August 10 - 16

Hello, Arcwalkers!

Soooo... I guess we’re back to a weekly Almanac. FOR NOW. 😂 For real though, I have absolutely no idea if I’ll be doing these every week again, but there is one for this week! I may also wander back into daily Almanacs here and there too. Basically, you’re all just going to have to suffer the whims of my moods hahahah! 💜

TL;DR for General Transits

Aug 10: The Moon in Cancer squares Saturn at 2:30 AM and then spends nearly the entire day void-of-course. Meanwhile Venus becomes the main actor, trining Pluto at 1:08 PM before opposing Neptune at 5:02 PM. Mars trines the True Node at 8:42 PM. The Venus-Pluto-Neptune sequence begins building the week’s kite pattern, bringing the larger outer-planet story into more personal territory through Venusian themes of connection and desire.

Aug 11: A double sign change opens the morning. Mars enters Cancer at 3:30 AM and the Moon enters Leo at 3:38 AM. The Leo Moon immediately enters an active field, contacting Mercury, Pluto, Neptune, Venus, Uranus, and Jupiter across the day. Mercury opposes Pluto at 8:19 PM and trines Neptune at 10:38 PM, while Venus completes its trine to Uranus at 10:46 PM. This is one of the most interconnected days of the week.

Aug 12: Mars sextiles Chiron at 9:41 AM before the total solar eclipse at 20°02′ Leo perfects at 12:36 PM. The Moon becomes void immediately afterward. Mercury sextiles Uranus at 3:47 PM, completing the Mercury side of the early-week outer-planet geometry. The eclipse itself divides the week in half, with the first portion building toward it and the second portion carrying its aftermath.

Aug 13: The Moon enters Virgo at 5:18 AM. Mercury sextiles Venus at 11:23 AM, giving the morning a cooperative bridge between thought and relationship. The Moon squares Uranus at 2:23 PM and goes void at 2:24 PM. That void lasts for almost two full days.

Aug 14: The Moon is void-of-course in Virgo all day. There are no major exact non-lunar aspects. After several tightly woven days and a solar eclipse, Friday creates a strange open chamber in the middle of the week. The sky is still carrying everything that just happened, but there is very little new exact motion pushing the story forward.

Aug 15: Mercury conjuncts Jupiter at 6:23 AM in Leo while the Moon is still void. The Moon finally enters Libra at 9:19 AM. By afternoon it squares Mars, trines Pluto, opposes Neptune, then trines Uranus. Mental and communicative expansion arrives first, followed by the lunar current switching back on and immediately engaging the same outer planets that shaped the beginning of the week.

Aug 16: The Libra Moon conjuncts Venus overnight, then sextiles Jupiter and Mercury before opposing Saturn late in the morning. Mars quincunxes Pluto at 10:15 PM. Mars is also closing in on its square to Neptune, exact early Monday morning, so the week ends with the Cancer Mars beginning to encounter the larger Aries/Aquarius background it entered earlier in the week.

Planetary Field Notes 🪐

Planetary Positions

  • Sun: 17°37′ - 24°20′ Leo
  • Moon: 13°02′ Cancer - 21°07′ Libra
  • Mercury: 00°50′ - 13°30′ Leo
  • Venus: 03°25′ - 10°11′ Libra
  • Mars: 29°14′ Gemini - 03°51′ Cancer
  • Jupiter: 09°00′ - 10°32′ Leo
  • Saturn: 14°34′ - 14°22′ Aries Rx
  • Uranus: 05°17′ - 05°27′ Gemini
  • Neptune: 04°07′ - 04°00′ Aries Rx
  • Pluto: 03°58′ - 03°48′ Aquarius Rx
  • Chiron: 00°51′ - 00°47′ Taurus Rx
  • True North Node: 29°50′ - 29°49′ Aquarius Rx

>Arcwalker Livvia: There are unusually strong dispositing centers this week. The Sun is at home in Leo while Venus is at home in Libra, giving both planets direct control over their own territory. Mercury and Jupiter in Leo route directly into the Sun.

>Mars changes the other side of the system when it enters Cancer. Mars enters Cancer and becomes disposed by the Moon, while Saturn and Neptune in Aries route through Mars and onward to the Moon. Using Saturn as the traditional ruler of Aquarius, Pluto eventually joins that same Mars-Moon chain.

>So even with a solar eclipse and the heavy Leo emphasis, the lunar current has enormous leverage over how much of the background field expresses from moment to moment. This becomes obvious once the Moon spends most of Monday void, eclipses the Sun Wednesday, and then disappears into another enormous void from Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning.

>AWL: The Moon tells a pretty clear story in the chart this week. Monday opens with a Cancer Moon that immediately hits Saturn and then goes silent for the rest of the day. Tuesday the Moon bursts into Leo and touches nearly every planet involved in the week’s larger configuration. Wednesday it reaches the Sun and becomes the eclipse itself.

>Then comes a stillness.

>The Virgo Moon receives only a short active window Thursday morning before squaring Uranus and beginning a void that consumes the rest of Thursday and every minute of Friday. By the time the Moon enters Libra Saturday morning, Mercury has already met Jupiter. The mental expansion arrives before the lunar current is ready to carry it anywhere.

>Once Libra opens, movement returns quickly. The Moon immediately reconnects with Mars, Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, and Saturn across the weekend. The lunar rhythm here feels almost tidal: activation, eclipse, suspension, then re-entry.

The total solar eclipse perfects Wednesday, August 12 at 12:36 PM CT at 20°02′ Leo.

This eclipse falls on the South Node side of the Leo-Aquarius axis. The True North Node is now in Aquarius, placing the South Node in Leo. That gives the lunation a different quality from a purely initiating Leo New Moon. Leo still carries visibility, personal authorship, creativity, pride, desire, performance, and the need for life to contain something that belongs distinctly to the self, but the South Node introduces a process of release or recognition of what has already been carried far enough.

Jupiter and Mercury are also in Leo, so the eclipse is happening inside a sign with significant amplification. The Sun itself is in domicile, making the Leo field pretty concentrated.

The eclipse degree makes 15°-25° of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius the most sensitive fixed territory. The house containing 20° Leo shows where the eclipse lands by Whole Sign, while natal planets contacting 20° describe what becomes personally woven into it.

>AWL: The August 12 eclipse belongs to Saros 126, linking it to earlier eclipses in 2008, 1990, and 1972. Each return moves the eclipse degree forward through the zodiac while carrying the same Saros family forward through time.

>This eclipse also begins the two-week eclipse corridor leading to the August 28 lunar eclipse in Pisces. Whatever enters the story around Wednesday therefore has somewhere else to travel. The solar eclipse opens the sequence, while the lunar eclipse at the end of the month becomes the next major point of development.

>I also like looking beyond the Saros family to previous eclipses near the same degree of Leo. Eclipses around 20° Leo appeared in 2018, 1999, 1980, and 1961, giving another historical trail to follow. The Saros cycle tells us where this eclipse came from as an astronomical family, while the degree history lets us look at other periods when this same part of the zodiac was activated.

>That gives us two different ways to watch the eclipse: through the lineage it belongs to and through the piece of zodiac it is returning to. For anyone who keeps journals, old calendars, or transit notes, those earlier dates may be worth revisiting before Wednesday arrives.

Aspect Patterns

Aug 10 - Aug 13: The Envelope

Aug 10 - Aug 13: The Envelope

The week’s larger aspect pattern develops gradually across the days leading into the eclipse.

The outer-planet framework is already waiting in the background. Uranus and Pluto hold their Air trine while Neptune connects into both through sextiles. Venus reaches this structure first from Libra and completes the Uranus-Pluto trine into a Grand Air Trine. At the same time, Venus opposes Neptune, turning that triangle into a Kite.

This gives Venus a prominent role at the beginning of the pattern. The opposition to Neptune stretches Venus toward an image of what could be, while the Air trines keep movement passing through the rest of the configuration. Something connected with relationship or value can begin shifting as the difference between the lived experience and the imagined version becomes more noticeable.

Mercury then enters the same structure from Leo.

Mercury opposes Pluto while trining Neptune, then moves into sextiles with Uranus and Venus. That adds a second opposition axis to the pattern and expands the earlier Kite into the larger five-planet Envelope. The Mercury-Pluto opposition brings attention toward what sits beneath the surface, while Mercury’s softer links give that information several routes through the chart.

This is where the pattern starts to feel like one continuous process: Venus encounters the story first through experience then Mercury follows by trying to understand what that experience means. The same outer planets remain involved while the personal planet carrying the material changes.

Uranus becomes an important bridge between those stages. Venus trines Uranus on August 11, followed by Mercury sextiling Uranus on August 12. A change in perspective or an unexpected development can move something from the Venus side of the pattern into Mercury’s hands, where it becomes easier to name.

Supportive Arcs

Aug 11 at 11:36 AM - around 3:20 PM

This is a smaller supportive pocket before the eclipse. The Leo Moon has just completed its sextile with Venus in Libra and is applying toward its conjunction with Jupiter. In traditional electional astrology, that movement from one benefic toward another gives the Moon a helpful sequence to carry forward.

Venus is useful here because she is in her own sign of Libra. Jupiter becomes the Moon’s next traditional destination, giving the afternoon a supportive current for something you would like to receive warmly.

The window closes around mid-afternoon as the Moon moves within the traditional 12° combustion range of the Sun and continues toward Wednesday’s eclipse. I would treat this as a pocket for ordinary matters that benefit from cooperation or encouragement.

Aug 15 at 7:05 PM - Aug 16 at 7:20 AM

This is the most supportive electional stretch I can find this week.

By Saturday evening, the Libra Moon has moved beyond its square to Mars and its opposition to Neptune. It then begins applying toward Venus in Libra, the ruler of the sign the Moon is traveling through. That gives the Moon a strong dispositor and directs its next movement toward a benefic with essential dignity.

The sequence continues overnight. The Moon conjoins Venus at 2:10 AM, then sextiles Jupiter at 4:02 AM before reaching Mercury at 7:20 AM. Mercury has just completed its conjunction with Jupiter, so the Moon moves from Venus into a Jupiter-Mercury story before its later opposition with Saturn.

The heart of this window falls around 2:10 AM - 4:02 AM, when the Moon has joined its dignified ruler Venus and is applying directly toward Jupiter. The larger evening-to-morning arc can support relationship matters, creative work, agreements, writing, or anything that benefits from goodwill and receptivity.

After 7:20 AM, the Moon’s next traditional application becomes its opposition to Saturn at 11:27 AM, bringing the supportive sequence to its natural stopping point.

Last Week in the Sky | Aug 3–9

  • Aug 3, 3:10 PM: Chiron stations retrograde at 0°52′ Taurus.
  • Aug 5, 9:21 PM: Last Quarter Moon at 13°40′ Taurus.
  • Aug 6, 2:12 PM: Venus enters Libra.
  • Aug 6, 9:44 PM: Sun trine Saturn.
  • Aug 7, 10:42 AM: Venus quincunx Chiron.
  • Aug 9, 11:28 AM: Mercury enters Leo.

This past week had a lot going on around my public astrology work and the people around it. Jupiter spent the week moving through my 1st house and perfecting an opposition with natal Saturn in my 7th, while Uranus in my 11th remained close to a sextile with my Ascendant. My community kept growing while I was figuring out how much room astrology gets to take up in my life.

Aug 3: Chiron Stations in My 10th

Chiron stationed retrograde at 0°52′ Taurus in my 10th house, square my Aquarius Sun and trine my Virgo Moon.

I woke around 3 AM crying over a movie I had watched with my family the night before called Mask. The whole thing hit my Ascendant-Chiron conjunction. Rocky’s facial difference shapes how people see him before they know him, and the movie keeps returning to the person underneath that first impression.

I could also tell where the story was going almost from the beginning, so watching it felt like a countdown. Every sweet part carried the awareness that something painful was coming. I loved the movie, which made it hit harder, and I woke up hours later still carrying it.

By morning I had more chart requests waiting for me. Mom and Dad were getting ready to leave on their camping trip, and I felt left out watching them go while also realizing I had an entire day of astrology sitting in front of me.

Aug 4: Mars Opposes My Venus

Mercury perfected its trine to natal Pluto just after midnight. With Mercury in my 12th-house Cancer and Pluto tied to family through my 4th house, it fit the feelings around Mom and Dad leaving on their first trip with the new camper.

I have camped plenty. What I wanted was the time with them. They are getting older, and I want to take as many trips with them as I can while they still travel this way. This first run was basically their practice round though, and my parents would rather die than let me watch them fumble with new equipment. 😂 I get to come on the next one.

I also received some kind feedback on my readings. One Arcwalker complimented the depth of my analysis, and another person told me my work could easily carry a large price tag. The Aries Moon trined my natal Venus during that stretch, bringing a pleasant little Venus moment through other people valuing what I had made.

Mars was moving into an opposition with my natal Venus while I was watching a YouTube video about emotions. The guy started with the familiar question, “What are your emotions trying to tell you?” which has always frustrated me because my emotions do not arrive with subtitles. 😂

Then he changed it to: “What are your emotions trying to make you do?”

And it clicked!!

My Mars is conjunct my North Node in Capricorn in the 6th, so action can happen fast enough that I miss the space between a need and what I start doing about it. Capricorn wants to build something from the feeling. This gave me a new way to catch that process earlier.

Venus fits here through preference and value. With Mars opposing Venus, I could start noticing what an emotion was pushing me toward and whether that action actually matched what I valued.

Aug 5: The Taurus Moon Reaches My 6th House

The Moon moved through Taurus and my 10th house, bringing my astrology work into focus again. I had made a comment about the Steven Forrest controversy and found myself watching how people responded. I added more astrology after a moderator asked for it, then spent part of the morning following the story further.

Around midday, the Taurus Moon began trining my Capricorn 6th-house placements. It reached my North Node around 12:44 PM and Mars around 1:54 PM.

I finished an Arcwalk, worked through a follow-up and completed another chart request. Then I helped Dad move camping wood and later replaced filters around the house.

This was a 10th-house Moon feeding my 6th-house Mars-North Node. Public astrology work blended into maintenance work without much separation between them. I spent the same transit interpreting charts and hauling myself through household tasks.

The 9th-house background kept appearing too. The Steven Forrest story had me thinking about what happens when an astrologer becomes publicly known, while a random Reddit comment sent me into research about Jesus and Judas. Saturn and Neptune moving through my 9th have given me plenty of material around belief and the responsibility attached to what people teach.

Aug 6: Jupiter Opposes My Saturn

Thursday became one of the strongest examples of the week.

The Steven Forrest discussion was still moving when I came across another Reddit post criticizing people who wanted free astrology readings. I answered from my own experience giving readings away, and my comment started getting attention. The original poster blocked me while people continued responding to what I had written.

Venus was finishing Virgo and preparing to enter Libra, my 3rd house, during the same stretch. That timing caught my attention because the whole exchange was about value being expressed through communication. I was explaining why I keep money outside my readings while Venus was entering her own sign in the house I associate with writing and conversation.

Later Todd and I started talking about date nights.

The conversation centered on scheduling. I had started protecting certain hours for astrology, and Todd felt that made planning harder. For me, the issue reached deeper because I had spent years shaping my time around his schedule. Creating a structure for my own work brought up the question of how partnership adjusts when I begin claiming more territory.

By evening the Taurus Moon was quincunx my natal Venus.

Then, around 6:27 PM, Jupiter in my 1st perfected its opposition to natal Saturn in my 7th.

That is the transit I keep coming back to for this day. Jupiter in the 1st describes the expansion happening around my own life and identity. Natal Saturn in the 7th describes the relationship structure that has existed alongside me for years. The opposition brought those two sides into direct conversation.

Todd and I ended up in a large fight, and I stayed with Mom while I worked through the reaction. He drove over later and asked whether he could come inside. I chose space and stayed with her.

Pluto moving through my 7th adds a slower background to the same story. Relationship has become one of the places where questions of power and accommodation keep surfacing.

Aug 7: The 11th House

The Moon entered Gemini and my profected 11th house shortly after midnight. I woke up working through the aftermath with Todd through writing. By morning we had exchanged messages and found enough room to talk again.

Venus also made its quincunx with Chiron late that morning. I watched that adjustment show up through interruptions around the workday. Dad needed help with the camper just as I sat down to work, while Todd’s rescheduled appointment changed the dog plans we had built around Mom and Dad's friend John coming over.

The Moon kept moving through my 11th while I worked on Arcwalks and prepared the new sign-up post. It trined natal Saturn around 2:59 PM, and I posted sign-ups at 3:59 PM.

By 5:25 PM I had three spots left.

Around 6:01 PM, Venus in Libra perfected its trine to my Aquarius Sun.

The final spot filled at 7:16 PM.

I also spent the afternoon changing parts of the subreddit structure and adjusting the sign-up system. Uranus is moving through this same Gemini 11th house while sextiling my Ascendant, and I can see that transit through the way the community keeps changing shape around me.

Venus trine Sun fit the response I was getting from people too. Arcwalkers were leaving kind feedback while I was figuring out how I wanted the subreddit to feel for the people entering it.

Todd also found the ring I had thrown during our fight.

A tiny Venus epilogue. 😂

Aug 8: Moon Trioctile Pluto on the Deck

Saturday gave me a few small transit examples I love. Dad’s friend John was visiting, so I went outside to have coffee with them on the deck. I could feel myself becoming reactive as Dad and John talked easily with each other. I would enter the conversation and experience the response differently.

Around 8:43 AM, the Gemini Moon in my 11th made a waxing trioctile to Pluto in Aquarius in my 7th.

The 11th-house Moon described the social environment while 7th-house Pluto brought more weight to how I was experiencing the other people in front of me. Pluto also carries a connection with my parents’ home through my natal 4th-house Pluto, which made the setting fit the symbolism in a way I enjoyed.

Mom came outside later and the experience softened. I stayed on the deck with her for a while before heading home.

The Gemini Moon stayed in my 11th through the day, and people remained part of the story. I worked on astrology surrounding family friends and thought about a post on transit technique.

The Venus-Sun trine from Friday was still separating, and I could feel some of that in the repair. Earlier in the day I had left my laptop at Mom and Dad's, and Todd offered to go retrieve it for me. His urgency meant a lot after the scheduling conflict earlier in the week.

Aug 9: Mercury Enters My 1st

Mercury entered Leo and my 1st house at 11:28 AM today.

I spent the surrounding hours rebuilding the weekly Almanac, researching the Leo eclipse and digging further into the Envelope pattern leading into it. I also went back through traditional electional rules because I wanted the Supportive Arcs to have more substance.

Apparently Mercury entered Leo and decided the weekly Almanac deserved another round.

So here we are. 😂

This Week

  • Aug 10, 12:15 AM: Mercury square Chiron
  • Aug 10, 1:08 PM: Venus trine Pluto
  • Aug 10, 5:02 PM: Venus opposite Neptune
  • Aug 10, 8:42 PM: Mars trine True Node
  • Aug 11, 3:30 AM: Mars enters Cancer
  • Aug 11, 8:19 PM: Mercury opposite Pluto
  • Aug 11, 10:38 PM: Mercury trine Neptune
  • Aug 11, 10:46 PM: Venus trine Uranus
  • Aug 12, 9:41 AM: Mars sextile Chiron
  • Aug 12, 12:36 PM: Total Solar Eclipse at 20°02′ Leo
  • Aug 12, 3:47 PM: Mercury sextile Uranus
  • Aug 13, 11:23 AM: Mercury sextile Venus
  • Aug 15, 6:23 AM: Mercury conjunct Jupiter

⚠️ Pet loss / euthanasia mentioned below.

Monday, Aug. 10: Mom and I are meeting with our spiritual group at Pat’s house, though this gathering will be different from our usual group days. Her 12-year-old Great Dane, Dixie, is being put to sleep, and we are going over to support Pat and give Dixie plenty of love while she goes.

On that day, Venus trines Pluto and opposes Neptune, bringing love into contact with mortality and grief. Mercury’s square to Chiron also suits the conversations surrounding something painful. I have been through three dog euthanasias myself, so being present for someone else’s dog gives me a different place inside that symbolism. I can use some of what those experiences taught me to help Pat through hers.

Tuesday and Wednesday: These are mostly preparation days before our trip to visit my brother. Mars enters Cancer early Tuesday, which puts it into my 12th house and shifts a lot of my activity toward the things happening behind the scenes before we leave. Packing and airport planning fit that nicely.

Mercury spends Tuesday and Wednesday making aspects to Pluto, Neptune and Uranus, which also feels appropriate for figuring things out as we go. Wednesday’s Leo solar eclipse lands in my 1st house, right before I physically leave home and enter a different environment for several days. It feels like an interesting threshold to cross before the trip.

Thursday, Aug. 13: Todd and I leave around noon to visit my brother on the West Coast, almost exactly as Mercury sextiles Venus at 11:23 AM.

I love this one for the trip. Mercury is my annual time lord, while Venus rules my current Solar Return. Venus is also moving through Libra and my 3rd house, the house associated with siblings and movement through the local environment. I am traveling with Todd so my brother can introduce us to his city.

The rest of the week carries that Mercury-Venus theme forward. My brother hosts what sounds like a live storytelling event where writers share their work over drinks, which feels very Mercury-coded. He is also taking us around to places he likes, including a tea shop that I already love through the tea he has mailed me over the years. Getting to finally walk into the actual shop feels like a cute Venus-in-the-3rd manifestation.

Saturday, Aug. 15: Mercury conjoins Jupiter in Leo. This feels fitting for being away from home, exploring and taking in my brother’s world. Jupiter brings the broader horizon while Mercury gathers the stories attached to it.

The Moon also enters Libra Saturday morning, moving through my 3rd house for the rest of the weekend. That puts even more emphasis on my brother and the experience of being shown around somewhere through another person’s eyes.

After spending the first half of the week preparing to leave, the weekend looks like wandering around inside someone else’s neighborhood and collecting pieces of their life.

Current Arcwalk Cycle

I plan to start this Arcwalk cycle tomorrow! I should be able to get through a few readings Monday through Wednesday. Todd and I leave Thursday to visit my brother, so the pace will slow down from Thursday through Tuesday while I’m away. I’ll still keep the cycle moving when I have room, then pick the pace back up once I’m home. ❤️

Request: Guidance on this next chapter

Hi Livia, hope you're all good

My partner and I are going through a trying period, she has been engaging with other people sexually, even a neighbor next door of late,I have ended things but went back cause I thought my daughter was unstable with my absence, now thinking of ending it for good. Any indication that it is meant to be. Plus I'm also thinking of starting a business rather than seeking employment,is that the correct path for me. Thank you.

[astro-seek] Why do I view my partners as Friendship Premium™?

Feels like everyone in my life is obsessed with their partner, and even my own partner is upset that I'm not outwardly "romantic and affectionate."

Wondering if there's anything in my chart that indicates why I don't act like that and feel suffocated by someone being "obsessed" with me.

IMO I love my partners the way, I want to be loved: They have my support in what they do and full freedom to do so, but I don't expect them to blend me into their personal activities without them asking for me to join.

Arcwalkin' on Sunshine . . . ☀️

Hi Arcmuva!

Let’s see….where were we….

We left off with:

  1. Potential Uranian layer analysis 💗
  2. Your suggestion to dig in more for year ahead btw myself and POI.🔮

New:

  1. OK, Universe. You win. Fine! I’ll open my heart to others. Ahem ….clearing throat umm…Are they on their way though?

And now….. da source material for da SOURCE:

Thank you!

(Copied and pasted from your previous reading!!:)

Uranian Layer

I use Astro-Seek.com for my chart casting, and I just realized while working through this that I cannot find the Uranian astrology option there right now. I could swear I have used it there before, unless I am remembering the tool wrong, haha.

So I am going to leave the Uranian section blank for now. If I find the right tool again, I can come back to that layer later. For this reading, the main predictive work is still coming through the progressions, progressed synastry, progressed composite, profections, Solar Returns, and transits.

Predictions!!!

The first window I would watch is early to mid-June 2026. Venus moves through Cancer and activates his 9th-house Cancer material and MC area. This can bring warmth, memory, contact, or a softer tone around distance and life direction. Since his chart has so much Cancer emphasis around meaning, travel, and future path, Venus moving through this part of his chart can reopen feeling through memory or conversation.

Late June into early July 2026 looks even more important because both charts change profection rulers around the same time, as we have walked through above. You move into a Libra 10th-house year ruled by Venus, and he moves into a Libra 1st-house year ruled by Venus. That makes Venus louder for both of you.

Update from InvyThin : 🎯

Around this same period, Jupiter reaches your Leo relationship signature and also touches the progressed Moon-South Node opposition to your Venus-North Node axis. That can magnify the emotional meaning of the bond. It can bring hope or a sense that the relationship story is opening again. It can also make the longing feel larger, so I would read this as an expansion point rather than a guarantee of outcome.

Update from InvyThin : 🎯 my longing was large. He is great but I can’t bring myself to respect some choices. As always, curious how he experienced me?

The late summer into fall 2026 window looks more serious. Jupiter later activates his Venus and then moves through Leo in a way that emphasizes recognition, pride, affection, and relationship identity. This can support warmth or renewed attention, especially if contact began earlier in the summer.

At the same time, Saturn is pressing his deeper emotional material. Saturn returns to his Aries Moon area by retrograde and also opposes his Pluto in Libra. This can bring accountability, emotional heaviness, private pressure, or a confrontation with what he has buried. If there is reconnection before this, late summer into fall may test whether the reconnection has substance.

For you, Saturn in Aries sextiling your Gemini Moon can help you name what you feel with more steadiness. This supports a more grounded emotional decision. Since your natal Moon-Mars and Mercury-Neptune signatures can keep a story moving in the mind, Saturn to the Moon may help you understand what the feeling needs in lived form.

Venus retrograde later in 2026 adds a review period to the same Venus-ruled story. Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio on October 3, moves back into Libra on October 25, and stations direct in Libra on November 13. Since both of you are entering Venus-ruled profection years, this retrograde matters a lot. The Scorpio part reviews trust, attachment, intimacy, and emotional exchange. The Libra part reviews fairness, choice, reciprocity, and whether the relationship can find a form that both people can inhabit. I would treat October into mid-November as a relationship review window, especially if contact has already reopened earlier in the summer.

So my prediction is this: the relationship field looks most open from June into early July 2026, then again from late August into October 2026. The first window looks softer and more emotionally open. The second window looks more visible, but also more tested.

I would say reconciliation is possible, especially if contact reopens around the Venus/Jupiter windows. Longevity depends on what happens after the opening. If he can bring the bond out of the hidden 12th-house pattern and into a visible relationship shape, the astrology gives the connection room to develop. If the contact stays private or tied to the same old structure, the chart points back toward longing and release.

Update from InvyThin: Seems like it may be longing/release. Curious how he is experiencing me?

From you, u/arcwalkerastrology**:**

Thank you again for working through this with me! I would love to get deeper into the details of the next year, because there is a lot more timing we could walk through here, but I still want to make room for your other chart questions too. So I think we should save the deeper year-ahead predictive work for an Arcwalk once I get those going again.

Arcwalk request

As you know my events are going on and before you did half of my SR reading which ends in August I believe. My query is about my study, career and overall things that is gonna shape me sooner.

  1. My results might have come out from mid to nov but most probably mid oct so how does this impacts on all the struggles I did?
  2. Am I overthinking or its my intuition that I will probably be doomed again and had to seek the same old paths again?
  3. Can I be admitted to university soon for sure?
  4. which course/major goes good with me? also you can add some seasonal courses or minors as well.
  5. How should I start my career journey, what streams calls my name?
  6. What should I absolutely not do or exhaust myself upon, what can be the bad decisions?
  7. Just a big sister advice will be appreciated. It is already appreciated enough. Thank you for your kind works. 🩷
