Honesty about moving to Maine

Currently my husband, my toddler and myself are in Queens NYC but my husband got a job offer in Easton Maine. His job said they would set us up in Presque Isle. It would be a good job opportunity for him to basically manage his own warehouse and a decent raise, he’s very into it but I’m hesitant.

Basically all of our friends and family live here between - Queens, Brooklyn, and Nassau County. We are very used to a more city lifestyle, especially me - we go to shows, concerts, restaurants and the beach. I like taking our toddler to museums and stuff like that. But if he takes this job we would be able to afford to have me stay home and be with our child and focus on my art.

I guess my question is what does life look like up there? Like everyday life, things to do for fun, nightlife, how do people make friends.

I just want an honest perspective of how different Easton Maine is from Queens New York.

EDIT: I wanted to add this edit to address some things that keep repeating in the comments…
-No this is not fake - he got the job offer yesterday and if he accepts then they want us out there by mid June. So no time to visit first.
- originally the job said it was in Bangor - which I did most of my research on. It was only in the interview that they said it was a typo and the job was in Easton.
- I don’t travel. I grew up in Queens and lived on LI for a bit for my grad and after. We’re in Astoria and my husband is from Rockville Centre. I really don’t have a good reference to how remote a place can be.
-I was surprised about the bears. Obviously if I go hiking I might see a bear. But I was thinking more in the actual town why would there be a bear
-I posted after he texted me the name of the actual town the job is in - like I said I was looking at Bangor.
- my parents live in the apartment below us so we basically have free childcare whenever - so when I say nightlife I mean more like going out on dates. Which we wouldn’t be doing anymore since my parents would be staying in Ny
- I was also not aware how cliquey Mainers can be - I grew up in a big diverse community and there were cliques, but I don’t think it’s the same. I am nervous about being away from family and friend and possibly being ostracized in my new town.

Honestly after reading these comments and doing a little googling- I can understand how silly my original post must sound. The things I was worried about seem to be low priority compared to the actual things I’d need like - good healthcare, community, and just other everyday things I take for granted.

My husband and I talked about it last night and were thinking it’s gonna be a no, but we’re gonna talk more over the weekend.

UPDATE:
So my husband took the meeting after we pretty much decided that we weren’t going to make the move. He had suggested that maybe he could make the trip up quarterly, but it was a no go.
He’s saying now that the new place they are recommending is Houlton, Me - and we should look into it. I’m a little tired at this point and feel like if we decided no then the answer should just be no. Plus, from what research I’ve done so far Houlton doesn’t seem much different. He said it’s a family decision and we aren’t deciding anything that we are both not 100% on board for. We’ll see what happens…

Dear Mainers, who is your candidate and why?

Much has been said about these two individuals from mainstream media sources and the like. Today I ask those in Maine to share their perspectives and thoughts on the upcoming race for senate so we may hear from the people directly affected by their leadership. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your responses.
