I can’t stop thinking about Arunachal

You know how you go on a trip, you enjoy but towards the end you’re kind of itching to go home? I visited Arunachal recently and that was NOT my experience, I was in fact crying because i did not want to leave at all. It felt like heaven, it’s so beautiful and the views change every km, the people are so nice!!! We went during off season and every single person who talked to us asked us about where we’re from if we like arunachal etc etc, like they were genuinely interested and wanted to help you out even if it’s not necessary at all, people tend to go out of their way just to help you out! It’s also so so clean like I’ve been to himachal and uttarakhand but these places are not like this, the absolute raw untouched beauty, it did not even feel like we are in India, BUT the patriotism in Arunachal made me feel like that’s the real India! I cannot believe the shit people in north india say about northeasterns without knowing them at all, they are the nicest sweetest people. I feel horrible coming back to delhi I feel like a piece of my heart was left back in Tawang and another one in Dirang and I just want to go back!! For the first time it feels unnatural to be back home I genuinely feel like Arunachal is where I belong because I felt like myself again after so so so long!
also beer is 80 rupees only which is a great plus too! I want everyone to experience it but on the other hand i also want it to be clean so not everyone should be here, I miss you so much Arunachal, I’ll be back very very soon!

Planning a 9-day Tawang trip in October (17–25 Oct) — itinerary, tour package & cab booking advice needed

Hi everyone,

I’m planning a trip to Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh in October and would really appreciate advice from people who have travelled there recently.

Trip details

Dates: 17–25 October 2026
Duration: 9 days / 8 nights
Group size: 2 people

I’m currently considering something along these lines:

Guwahati → Tezpur → Dirang → Tawang → Chuna/Mago → Bumla → Zemithang → Chug Valley → Shergaon → Guwahati

Looking for advice on 3 things:

  1. Itinerary
  2. Tour packages
  3. Cab booking

For people who have recently done this trip:

Did you book a complete tour package or plan everything independently?
If you used a tour operator, which one did you use?
What was the approximate per-person cost?
What did the package include/exclude?
Were there any hidden/additional charges for Bumla, local vehicles, permits, etc.?
Would you recommend booking a package from Guwahati or arranging things after reaching?

Please don't DM me generic tour packages. I'm specifically looking for recommendations from people who have personally used the operator/driver recently.

Urgent RGU

Hi, my fellow Arunachal brothers! 🥹

I need a little help from anyone who is currently studying at Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) or knows someone there.

I’m currently Waiting List No. 1 in the EWS category for hostel allotment, and I really need a hostel seat. My parents are not comfortable letting me stay alone outside the campus, especially since I’m coming from another state,

If any RGU senior or anyone who has contacts with the hostel administration/warden/officials can guide me or help me regarding the allotment, I would be extremely grateful,

Please DM me if you can help in any way🥹

Thank you so much!

Makes perfect sense to me, what do you think

In Arunachal we trace lineage paternally, so a child of a APST woman married to non-APST man would not carry the genes of the APST mothers paternal ancestors. Hence they cannot be considered tribal in any Sense.
