Request – Ascension: Combined Rulebook
Hi everyone!
I wanted to share something with you.
I recently received the Ascension 15th Anniversary Ultimate Collection, and I’d love to combine all the rulebooks for the base game and its expansions into a single book.
The thing is, I also play the digital version of Ascension on Steam, and personally, I find the rulebooks in the digital version much clearer and easier to understand. However, I have no idea how to extract the digital rulebooks from the game so that I can combine them all and have them printed as a single book. This would be strictly for personal use, as I really enjoy upgrading, customising, and taking extra care of my board game collection.
Ideally, I’d love to keep the graphics and layout exactly as they appear in the digital version, as I really like the way they’re presented.
I’ve already contacted Playdek, the developers of the digital game, to ask whether they might be able to provide me with the rulebook files, but unfortunately, I haven’t received a response.
I should also mention that I’m not entirely sure whether doing this would be legally permitted, even if it’s strictly for personal use and I have no intention of distributing or selling the book. I want to make sure I’m respecting the creators’ rights, so I’d appreciate any guidance on this aspect as well.
So, my questions are: Does anyone have any ideas on how I could achieve this, or know of any tools or methods that might help me do it? And would it be legally acceptable to create a personal, printed compilation of the digital rulebooks?
I’d be incredibly grateful for any advice, suggestions, or help you could offer!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this! 😊
