UG Round 3 — still no interview mail, is there still hope?

Has anyone applying to Ashoka UG Round 3 still not received their interview mail? I haven’t got mine yet and I’m honestly getting really anxious now. I keep seeing people getting interview calls, and it’s making me feel like I’m already rejected or that I’m a complete loser. For people who applied in previous years, especially in Round 3, did anyone get their interview mail after many days and still get selected? Or are there people this year who are also still waiting? I just want to know if there’s still any hope.

scholarship

I'm a VERYY average student. Scored 89 in class 12th CBSE and then 91 in class 12th. As for extracurriculars, i've literally participated in nothing my whole life except MUN and became a prefect in class 12. On the top of that, i come from a middle class family so i don't think they'll be able to afford around 40 lakhs just for bachelors. I also havent given SAT or any english proficiency test. Most probably my cuet score's gonna be average too. I don't think i'd do well in an interview cause i get nervous in that sort of a setting. Is there any way i can get ANY scholarship?

Regarding R3 Interview

My AAA went well, I would assume I wont get below 30 and my on the spot essay was also decent. I have pretty decent ECs, (National level athlete in two sports and B2 in French). I also got 92% in CBSE 12th.
But I haven't received the interview email yet, now I'm aware that the emails are sent in batches but I didn't have access to my gmail for 5 days, the storage was full so I wasn't able to receive any emails during those days. I'm afraid that there's a possibility that I could've gotten an email during those 5 days which I cant see even on the official portal. Do I just wait or should I maybe email them ?

Interview concern

Just gave the interview and the guy was super sweet but didn’t correct me or cross question me a lil bit even when I myself thought i was trailing off. Should that be a concern?

R3 Interview Experience & Tips

Hey, I was just like y'all, scouring these pages for interview tips cuz it seems like a make or break, so I thought I'd share my experience too.

I found the posts here are pretty helpful. There were 2 interviewers and they seemed pretty chill. The advice I read about them keeping a poker face or seeming disinterested wasn't really true as the first interviewer was really nice and expressive, and the second seemed to be focused on something, maybe analyzing my answers while being quiet. I kinda forgot their names in a blur, but I do remember them mentioning being from the Admissions team?

It was a pretty standard interview, they asked me to introduce/describe myself, and I could tell they had read up my profile pretty well. They asked me questions from my profile that they were curious about or if I mentioned something in my answers they asked me to elaborate. It really is true that there's not much to prepare for this interview other than reading your own profile and essay thoroughly.

As many have said, they did ask me about the Foundation Courses so just go through that. My interest was econ so they asked me about my interest and reasons for pursuing econ, future goals, reading books, socio-political events that interest me and some stuff I had mentioned in my essay. I had a little bit of a unique background so they asked me about that too as well as family.

They asked me about what my different leadership roles taught me since I did mention that in my profile. And they asked about my weaknesses which is the only question I feel like I could've answered better. I obviously do have weaknesses but I had to think of something appropriate for an interview and is not a lie lol. I said some stupid stuff that I don't even remember (like a weakness which isn't even really a weakness). They also asked me why I chose Ashoka and if I had any other colleges in mind. And concluded with "Do you have any questions for us?", to which I asked about research opportunities ofcourse.

My advice to doing interview prep:

  1. Read your own profile,
  2. Know about 2-3 current affairs/socio-political events that interest you and link them to your major,
  3. Know about Ashoka's liberal arts, foundation courses, and your own major,

And treat it like a conversation, it's super duper chill if you make it so. You don't wanna risk putting on a front and fumbling so just be casual about it and it'll work. My interview lasted 20 minutes but I talked a lot about myself in each question so I feel like it was just the right amount of time. I will share my results here when they're out!

IISER vs Ashoka Uni

GUYSSSS help me, what are the differences in small things? The major is iiser is more rigorous and Ashoka is comparatively less but also IISER mainly for sciences whereas Ashoka is mainly for liberal arts. Please seniors help me out. I love to do a lot of things dance music etc. I also love studying when it is fun not just ratta-fication. I am deeply interested in Bio , chem and Psych.
