R*PE Threats and False Expulsion from FLAME.

A group of students started threatening to r*pe my mother and were already bullying me. They made a false narrative that I s*xually harassed a girl and they all mass reported me to the registrar Virender Sharma. They framed a perfect narrative that portrayed me as evil

I told my side of the story to Registrar Virender Sharma on how they threatened to rape my mother and hence I slurred at them. Instead the Registrar withdraws my admission without a proper hearing and does not even lift my calls nor reply tonny mails citing that I broke disciplinary violations.

Further the registrar alleged if I do not withdraw in my terms I will be trailed under POSCO act for s*xually Harrassing a minor girl and my fees confiscated. He made all these statements over whatsapp calls which couldnt be recorded and not provide any supporting evidence. In my end, I never made contact with minors.

So threatening to r*pe my mother isn't a disciplinary violation? Regardless of my will to speak to him, he is not lifting my calls. I hate this blatant behaviour. He must resign at any cost possible, if he protects the r*pe-mentality instigators that too being a registrar, the university is set to be doomed.

The vice-chancellor isn't intervening in this situation, he seems to be in an abroad destination as I called up his office directly.

My admission is officially cancelled on an unfair basis, my family especially my mother is facing great distress. The dignity of my mother matters more than my life. The registrar must resign or I must die.

already forwarded this to UGC anti-ragging cell, and registered a National Commission for Women complaint

Need help with essays for 2027 Intake

I was thinking of re-applying to Ashoka this October in Round 1 (i also applied this year in round 4 but couldn't get in because of my badly written essays. that's a long-short story tbh), My major of choice is gonna be Physics (though I'm still confused between this, Political Science and History).

I was thinking if some senior could, like, help me with the essays and stuff. My writing is "good" so I certainly can do that part myself, but most importantly what i need is a person who could tell me that out of my many extracurriculars which ones I should put in, and how much or how deeply should I talk about them.

I've been told that my ECs are good, but my academics are a bit below average (10th-83%, 11th-65% and 12th-75%.) My ECs are mostly related to Philosophy, Political Science and Journalism, and a few of them are related to Physics (Aeronautics and Particle Physics etc.)

I also tried finding seniors on LinkedIn, Instagram but so far no one has replied. I mean there's still 2 months so it's fine I guess

Not any decent people in batch

Ended up joining Ashoka for postgrad, tbh it's so weird... All the ppl in this batch are creeps or weirds! It's freaking lonely to get through everyday, feels like a terrible mistake coming here.

transfer or apply as a fresh first year student

Ashoka was my first option for ug, but i wasnt able to get in last year and joined another college. Currently i've joined for economics and finance but i prefer Ashoka's curriculum better.

but im not sure if its better to try as fresh first year student or try the tranfer student application.

I dont mind spending an extra year but i think im more concerned about the competition cause thats the main reason i didnt get due to applying in the last round the current intake.

also i havent met anyone thats been able to successfully transfer from a university to ashoka.

Too much crowd

Bro the amount of people admitted this year makes me seriously question the process. Have they like admitted everyone so far? The other batches haven't arrived yet and everything's crowding up already.

do ecs really matter a lot?

im applying for the 27 batch. okay so I've had a couple shitty past few years for various reasons and my ecs are basically non existent. I was part of this youth organisation with pretty good impact for quite some time and I've attented like 2 muns and gotten an honourable mention in one (afaik muns are useless unless you've done a lot and atleast won bd right?). aside from that I've done a bit of volunteering in school events, been apart of them and all. my school barely has any opportunities to do anything.

my grades are nothing great either 😭 id say they're average to above average. so do i even have a chance? and im applying for eco as well. is there anything I can do to help my application? any ecs you guys would recommend that I would be able to do rn?

Can I apply to Ashoka’s Economics course without Maths?

I’m currently in Class 12 CBSE and I’m considering applying to Ashoka University for their Economics programme.
My Class 12 subjects are:
Accountancy
Business Studies
Economics
FMM (Financial Markets Management)
AI
I did not take Mathematics in Class 11–12.
My predicted Class 12 board percentage is 85%+.
I wanted to ask current Ashoka students/alumni or anyone familiar with the admissions process:
Am I eligible to apply for the Economics programme without having Mathematics in Class 12?
Is Mathematics a mandatory subject/eligibility requirement, or can students without Maths still be considered?
If I can apply, how difficult is it to manage the Economics curriculum without a Maths background?
Would my subjects (especially Economics, Accountancy, FMM and AI) be considered relevant preparation?
Any advice from students who have gone through the Ashoka admissions process would be helpful.

A few questions about ashoka University I couldn't find the answers to online.

  1. What is the gender ratio like in computer science specifically?

I like that the overall gender ratio in ashoka is pretty good but I couldn't find an answer for the gender ratio for cs specifically since it's a very male dominated field. I've heard horror stories from women in stem that they've been in cs classes with only 1-2 other women where the guys have been very condescending and undermining their skills. Since Haryana already has a reputation for sexism i wanna know if that's the case in ashoka as well or not.

  1. Are there rooms with attached washrooms? I really don't mind paying extra to secure one it's just that i really don't wanna use a communal one 🥹✌️

  2. How common are the nerdy people? I rlly wanna be in an environment where i share interests with ppl so how common are the ppl who enjoy gaming (story games like GoW, ghost of Tsushima, Tlou, and indie games like hollow knight and Celeste) Manga (like Monster or berserk or punpun) and anime like (Evangelion, lain, etc)?

  3. Are the halls gendered or gender neutral?

Thanks !

AshokaX reviews

Hi - I'm a corporate professional with 6 years of experience (left trading after 4.5 years and joined a startup); i came across AshokaX and wanted some genuine reviews about the course - is it worth ~90K? Can i expect good learning or is it just theoretical (something i could also do on my own)? How much commitment is needed?

I'm not looking for placement opportunities (not my primary aim) but genuine learning

Please share anything you know/have heard about it!

Registered for 2027 intake

I registered for the 2027 intake in Ashoka and I didn't put even together any application. Im a science student (didn't have a choice🥀) and thinking to go for Pol.Sci+media but I don't really have any extra-curriculars that are going to be helpful with the application.

I'm still don't know if

  1. A good score in board (very unsure how thats gonna end up cuz I'm in CBSE)

  2. CUET

3.AAA , and the essay

  1. And letters of recommendation would be enough or if I'm supposed to be doing more. Honestly it feels too much to be handling both science(PCMB, which I'm not doing so great in.) and applying for humanities streams or am I just complaining too much?. I'm not at a place where I can take a drop the next year. Am I being too unrealistic or am I cooked? 😭
