New to Austin, looking for a TTRPG group near Mueller

Hey everyone! I recently moved to Austin from Uruguay and had to leave behind an amazing TTRPG group back home.

We used to play Cypher, WoD, PF2e, and SF2e, and I'm looking to join a new table here in Austin.

I'm pretty flexible and happy to learn other systems too. I'm open to pretty much anything, although I'm not really looking for vanilla D&D unless the group uses some interesting house rules or modifications.

I'm near Mueller, but I don't mind traveling a bit for a good group.

If anyone has an open spot at their table, knows of a group looking for players, or can recommend good places to meet people for TTRPGs, let me know!

The Rat King's Revenge

Hi all - I'm running a LARP at the Tiny Minotaur Tavern next Sunday, August 16th. This is a high fantasy theater-style event - no boffer combat. Show up in costume as a high-fantasy/DND inspired character and interact with other folks doing the same.

There will be:

Live-action DND style dice role combat run by a professional DM - he'll be leading parties of adventurers into the Elven Temple Ruins behind the tavern to combat a pesky rat infestation. These aren't your ordinary rats!

Accept side quests from the quest board, other players or make up your own! But all quests/combat are optional. If you just want to hang out as a fantasy character and gab with others doing the same for a few hours, thats totally fine.

Gambling, drinking, rumor-mongering and brawling! Take advantage of the amazing location(a literal fantasy-themed tavern in East Austin) to live out your best fantasy tavern dreams. Trade illicit items in dark corners with rogues and thieves or boast of your spellcasting prowess with fellow magic-users.

Groundrules:
Be courteous to the other players. The vibe is definitely comedic over serious so no excessively edgy character please. If you have some bit or particular roleplay your character is going to use to interact with others, ask yourself - "Are they going to enjoy this?"

Respect boundaries - physical and emotional.

Follow the GM's instructions. If you have questions, ask!

No real weapons or outside food or drink allowed.

Doors open at 7, first hour or so is no(or little) roleplay, just hang out and get comfortable. There will be a meeting at 7:45 to go over groundrules. Event officially starts at 8 and goes to 11.
