Genuine statement

I initially received an unconditional PhD admission and scholarship offer from the University. Following the refusal of my student visa application, which was primarily related to my Syrian citizenship and Genuine Student assessment, I requested a new Confirmation of Enrolment because I needed additional time to prepare further supporting documents and adjust my intended commencement date.

After this request, my offer was changed from unconditional to conditional, subject to the submission of additional documents and a revised Genuine Student statement. I complied fully with the University’s requirements and submitted all requested materials, along with additional supporting evidence. In total, I uploaded 37 documents covering my travel history over the past 10 years, compliance with previous visa conditions, ties to my home country, family and economic circumstances, credit score, bank statements, employment background, and other relevant evidence.

However, my application was rejected only around two working days after I completed the document upload. Given the volume and importance of the submitted materials, I am concerned that the assessment may not have allowed sufficient time for a full and careful review of the evidence. This decision has resulted in the loss of both my PhD admission and scholarship, despite the fact that I had previously been assessed as academically suitable and had received an unconditional offer. I'm not sure if an appeal would ever be successful, or whether I should consider a new application.
