AUTISM RIGHTS!
You do not have to be ashamed of being autistic! You do not have to mask! You are NOT a disease!

My Autism Paintings (OC)
These are examples of paintings I have done. Inspired by my Autism and Autistic experiences. Exploring things like masking, swimming, overstimulation, meltdowns, shutdowns and social struggles.
My work is mostly dark with the odd light painting now and again. Combining dark art with expressionism and lately some surrealist elements. Completed with acrylic paint on whatever material I can get hold off.
I've been doing paintings based on my Autism for 3 years now. And plan to keep doing many more in the future.
Some recent color study sketches! (Tw: last 3 have horror themes)
I work in black and white usually so I've been playing with colors to improve. All are watercolor and ink on paper!
Help build an autistic sanctuary
It would be great if autistic people built their own gated community somewhere to escape hate.

Advice for managing/getting over sensory issues with physical art?
Sorry if this is a bit of a weird question, but I really like doing art but am pretty much forced to stick with digital mediums because of my sensory issues. I really like physical art and would like to learn to do some of my own. Some part of me wants to just push through to see if it stops bothering me eventually, but I know I'd probably give up first. Has anyone else dealt with this or have advice to give?
Edit: Forgot to post the actual sensory issues lmao. They are largely a mix between texture and sound, I don't care for the feel of paper or the sound of basically anything grinding against it, which covers such a large set of mediums. I don't care for paint on my hands or the dry, dusty feeling that clay always leaves behind either.
The Artist
This morning I was experimenting with Procreate and I was genuinely surprised with how good it is. Here is a piece I made. It’s of a mother who was in a terrible fire years ago and she lost the use of her hands. Determined, she learns to paint with her mouth. She paints a picture for her young daughter’s birthday, it’s a piece of them hugging before the fire. Little does she know her daughter loves her exactly as she is ❤️
I’ve created a Webtoon series inspired by my spiritual journey. It’ll be super sweet if you checked it out💖
My new Webtoon, Odessa Heart, is live! ʚ♡ɞ Link in bio.
A study of cat faces I did
I was practicing drawing cats a while ago, since I primarily draw humans/humanoids. Honestly if I have time I might make more, we’ll see.
