Creating things using 25 NM pipe Autocad 3D

Any help would be great!

I want to join pipes together on specific angles. I drew this but I feel it took too long to get to an acceptable solution:

My steps were:

  1. draw circle for the pipe diameter, draw the flat end rectangle, create the pipe thickness by adding offsets within the geometry.

  2. Create the loft, to form the tube and the flat end.

  3. Create the radiused angled flat end at the top using sweep, subtract to remove inside of flat end

Does anyone have any ideas of how to make this part faster but also accurate, or is this the only way to do it?

Thanks

Why you should buy Autodesk ADSK

The bull case for Autodesk (ADSK) rests on its massive economic moat, highly recurring subscription revenue, and transition into an "AI-native" platform. Trading at a discount to historical multiples despite strong cash generation, ADSK presents a compelling opportunity for investors seeking quality and value.

The Core Bull Narrative: Why Buy ADSK?

1. Unshakeable Economic Moat
Autodesk’s flagship tools like AutoCAD and Revit are deeply embedded in mission-critical workflows across architecture, engineering, and manufacturing. Switching to competitors is virtually a non-starter for enterprise clients due to the high risk of project delays, compliance exposure, and disrupted data continuity. This grants the company incredible pricing power and high customer retention, with over 90% of revenue being recurring.

2. Physical AI and Design Automation
While many industries fear AI disruption, Autodesk's massive library of proprietary 3D geometry makes it an indispensable infrastructure player for physical AI and digital twins. Tools like the Fusion AI Assistant and strategic investments (e.g., in Fei-Fei Li's World Labs) position ADSK to lead the transition from manual CAD to generative, multi-step engineering.

3. Margin Expansion and Operational Efficiency
Autodesk has successfully transitioned its business model to a streamlined, direct-to-customer subscription framework. As their cloud platform absorbs more scale, free cash flow (FCF) margins are projected to expand heavily. With recent forecasts pointing to robust double-digit earnings growth, the company's financial profile is becoming structurally stronger.

4. Compelling Valuation Window
After recent cyclical pullbacks in the broader software and construction sectors, Autodesk has frequently traded at discounted multiples, allowing investors to buy a high-quality, free cash flow-generating "blue-chip" stock at a discount.

Despite a recent price pullback, its fundamental growth metrics showcase an increasingly profitable enterprise model.

For the full fiscal year 2026, Autodesk’s free cash flow surged 54% year-over-year to $2.41 billion (up from $1.57 billion in FY25).

Buying Autodesk (ADSK) is a compelling fundamental play because the company combines an elite gross margin of over 91% and a 27% operating margin with an incredibly sticky, subscription-driven software ecosystem. This dominant market position translates directly into powerful financial efficiency, accelerating revenue growth by 18.3% year-over-year while providing immense operational leverage. Most importantly, Autodesk transforms this growth into an exceptional 5.8% free cash flow yield, giving management a massive cash engine to aggressively fund share buybacks and reinvest into high-ROI physical AI technologies while the stock trades at a cyclical discount.

Need help on selecting a cad institute for coaching

I am 2024 passed out mech engg, dropped 2 yr for gate, not able to clear, currently, looking for design engineer roles, with no prior experience in cad, I am in search for cad institute in chennai which can provide good teaching and good placements, but I need some recommendations

  1. Cadd centre, vadapalani---getting negative reviews on placement

  2. Pumo technovation ---they said they provide guaranteed placements, but price is high(85k),

  3. Texlio, Taramani ---+they too provide guarantee placements but pure online coaching

I know that cad software can be learnt through social media platform or Udemy courses, my concern is getting a job asap, because of 2yrs gap, my mind feels empty and keeps me demotivated all time, joining a class with good track record in placements, will be a good thing for me, need ur suggestions

First-time User Tips and Criticism

Hey everyone,

First-time Reddit and AutoCAD user here. I've been teaching myself AutoCAD for about a week now, and after roughly two days of work, I finally finished my first-floor plan. I'm sure there are plenty of things I could improve, so I'd really appreciate any feedback, tips, or tricks from those with more experience.

My goal is to get comfortable creating accurate floor plans first, and eventually work my way into electrical drafting and layouts. Since I'm learning on my own, I'd love to hear about habits, shortcuts, workflows, or common beginner mistakes that you wish you'd known when you started.

Please don't hold back on (hopefully kind) constructive criticism. I want to improve, and I'd rather learn the right way now than build bad habits.

Thank you so much in advance! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Fusion 360 group project read-only access problem

So my team added me to their Fusion 360 group project on Autodesk Team Hub. They confirmed I have Editor permissions. And yet… I can’t edit a single thing.

Everyone else on the team made their Autodesk account directly with their university email and got their Education license that way. But I used my personal email for my Autodesk account, then applied for the Education license through that. So my edu license lives on my personal-email account, not my uni-email account.

My theory: maybe Fusion 360 is doing some kind of license/account verification when joining a team project, and since my teammates are all on uni-email Autodesk accounts, there’s a mismatch somewhere that’s downgrading me to read-only.

I can try creating a fresh Autodesk account with my uni email and migrating everything over, but that feels like a lot of effort if it’s not actually the root cause. Like, shouldn’t the Education license be valid regardless of which email it’s registered under?

Has anyone hit this before? Is the personal vs. uni email thing actually the culprit, or is there something else I’m missing?

Autocad wont launch help

Hey everyone, i just bought Autocad lt 2027 for a laptop. It´s been 3 weeks and it stopped launching. What happens is that I click on the app in desktop, the cursor changes to the blue loading circle, and then the screen goes black for a second and the program doesnt open, not even the splash screen. I went into task manager to see what was going on and the process wont even show in the apps section, it just appears in the background process for a few seconds and dissappear.

Heres what i already tried:

  • Changing the autocad desktop shortcut to /nohardware
  • tried opening the program from the autodesk files in c:
  • I tried to delete and redownload the program, but when i tried redownload it wouldnt let me so I just hard reset the laptop from scratch then install and it happened again
  • A solution I tried doing is, you know when youre in cmd and you type start c: it opens file explorer, well I tried doing start autocadlt.exe and nothing happened

My laptop specs are:

  • LAPTOP-NTIT900Q
  • 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13420H 2.10 GHz
  • RAM instalada 8.00 GB

English not first language so apologies in advance and also thanks
